It looks like from many requests, EA has decided to bring back the Superheroes to our lil Springfields for lots more adventures, heroic deeds, and DONUTS!
With a New Event, I just know what you all are gonna ask me for. Well I just can’t do it. Nope. Comic Book Guy told me it was the “WORST. CALENDAR.EVER!!” and blogged about me. So … done… not gonna do it… not for a bajillion space bucks. Nope.
IT’S CALENDAR TIME!!

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 6/15/16, DAY 2 OF ISSUE 1
As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Act. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.
Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately 4074
Brass Knuckles a day.
Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” and feel like you are behind, but as you progress through the Questlines and Event you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. Just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.
ISSUE ONE PRIZES
Here’s the rundown of the prizes available during Issue 1 that you can win by just playing the game and collecting Brass Knuckles.

You will get this once you have completed collection of the Personal Prizes.
Superhero Bonus. Every 10,000 extra you’ll have a chance for donuts. Once you’ve collected the additional 10,000 Brass Knuckles, the 3 Mystery Boxes Pop Up will appear. Tapping on them can earn you up to 3 Donuts. Of course if you don’t get the Donuts you want, you can always pay to try again.

I tap the criminals all the time and I hardly get any science water. It’s been 3 days since I’ve gotten any. Has anyone else run into this?
Anyone know if we’ll be able to “catch up” on the social rewards? I’m at 17 this morning (after finishing my three battles with other players) and by my calculations that will put me at 114 on the final day of the event (31 days from now) with no way of getting the final reward at 115 battles.
I think some changes will come but right now theres nothing you can do about it since they’re fixes each day

I was looking at my Friends leaderboard to see how I was doing in battles compared to them and noticed that the bar indicating wins was only partially filled for some of them. I have won all of my battles, but can’t tell if my neighbors have, though according to the OP not all of the battles must be won to count. Why then have this type of progress bar, if it only compares your won/loss record? Huh…
P.S. I am still missing the first three battles I won on Day 1 from my record.
P.P.S. And yippee! I got a donut on a neighbor visit. First one ever, as I only have 29 or so.

I just got the alien today, right now in fact.
Does anyone think I can still catch up to get all the items from the first batch?
I stared three day late because I was in an area of South Carolina with no cell reception for a few days.
Working my tail off to try and get these as superheroes are my favorite thing besides the Simpsons.

I think the social prizes are the hardest to accumulate. I am not doing those daily.
It also uses the science water and the bandaids.. I much rather use those in my game when fighting.
I think I am going to lose out on all social prizes 🙁 Sad, there are a few there that look cool.
I find this event is really good, but far more time consuming that the others. I am getting the hang of it now, and am ahead of schedule.
You don’t have to win the social battles, just do them. I always put ONE villain into each battles, unless it is stated that you have to WIN the battle to get the prize.

Ate the trading cards only usable in Issue 1? I’m debating holding on to them iff they can be used in Issue 2.
All 3 issues. But the Issue 1 crafting items leave when issue 1 ends.
I’ve just got Cyborg Snake. Do I need to complete his questline or can I have him earn currency?

Tapping Criminals and prize tracks…that’s in. But if you run out, you can spend donuts mid game for one. (just tap the science water icon in the battle)…I DO NOT recommend that though

Hi. I have a problem. When it gave me a quest “go tap criminals in your friends town”
I went there but when I tapped the crims, it didnt work :/

The task still appeared as if you didn’t do it? Or does it say done and just isn’t clearing?
Did you go to a friend’s town or did you go to Other Springfield? You can’t do social battle in Other Springfield.
Is tapping on criminals the only way to get more science water?
And if so is it random or do you need to tap a certain amount of them before you get a water to drop?

Right in line with the calendar so far, which for me is behind. And act 2 will be tricky. I get my first vacation in 2 years! I haven’t been out of the city that whole time.

It’s not one of those vacations. It’s family and in South Dakota, a very small town and I can’t drive so basically a lot of sitting around with the folks. I’ll play late at night and while they watch Young And the Restless.

Just unlocked Mylar Baggins. I also have an interesting visual glitch: the Skinner Sisters are performing on the open air stage but are apparently invisible… Must be Skinner’s super power lol
They’re invisible because they’re also still available to do other tasks. It’s a cool glitch in terms of earning more money/XP (and one that works with the bounce house, too), but I do hope they fix it at some point, because I spent the donuts to buy the open air stage expressly so I could see the B-Sharps performing there from time to time!

Mylar is the “plastic” that is used as a sleeve for comic books to keep them in perfect condition. It’s a comic book store, a building for your town. Ask any more questions you need to.

Mylar bags were the premium bags at the local comic book store. I think they were priced at 10 times the amount of a regular bag! Suffice it to say, I bought comics because I actually READ them. Good thing I didn’t go in as a collector.
I also kept away from WIZARD’s price guide as my hobby ended. 🙂

It’s a comic book shop (says so on the front :P). “Baggins” is a reference to Hobbit/Lord of the Rings as the main characters are Bilbo and Frodo Baggins
Sorry for posting this question again, but I think it was misinterpreted and then got buried in the thread.
Does anyone know the cost of “trying again” in the bonus round? By this I mean the cost in in-game “cash” when you complete a bonus round (by earning 10,000 brass knuckles), choose a box, and don’t get three donuts. Is it 50,000, like in many previous events? 150,000, like in Where’s Maggie? Something else?
I’m working on a post about the “new donut math” for trying again for more donuts, so this info would help. Thanks in advance. 🙂
Event ones are always 150,000. Only level ones are 50k
Thanks Alissa and the whole Addicts gang! I guess my memory of past events was wrong. With no more level “try agains,” I guess the days of 50,000 are gone forever. And the math is suddenly…relevant! And surprisingly the percentages are really, really round despite all the variables! I’ll be in touch to see if you’d like me to write up a guest post on it!
Level “try agains” reappear when you get to level 939.
Sandra: thanks for that info! It changes the math quite a bit for players who are up there. Are you able to confirm that the “try agains” for that are at 50,000? Or are they 150,000?
I’m not there yet, myself, but I would assume $50,000. I’m sure someone here can confirm that…

Got very bad update on back, so not going to CA. Doctors say no way can my back handle trip😢
Trying to take life as it comes and moving forward with move to different area of Fl. Hopefully not as bad as where I am now.
With back walking is challenge not to mention packing, moving end of month as house is sold effective July 3rd.
Haven’t been posting as life isn’t too much fun and this is supposed to be happy place. Still playing, still visiting neighbors as much as I can, didn’t want to bring bad news to site. Been trying to deal with alone, but it means a lot that you reached out to me.

Move to California had to be cancelled, my back took serious turn for worse. So staying in FL can’t travel in car as far as CA. This was big blow both not leaving Fl and how serious back injury is now.
Haven’t been commented as this is supposed to be happy place and very depressed and in ton of back pain. Still pushing ahead with move as house is sold,
Still visiting neighbors and playing as much as possible but didn’t want to bring problems here.

So sorry to hear this! Is there really no other way you could get there? I know you have the doggies to deal with, which makes things complicated… I don’t know what they do about pets, but does Amtrak have sleeper car trains from FL to CA? Or could you fly and find someone you could pay to drive them to California in your car? (I think there are people who sign up to drive other people’s cars across the country, as a way of getting free transportation, plus some money, to do that, but I don’t know if anyone ever drives a car with dogs in it…).
It just seems like a Catch-22…you can’t get to California because of your back, but it was partly to get better treatment for your back that you were going to California in the first place! I’m sorry to hear you’re stuck in this awful conundrum. 🙁
