Should I Spend Donuts On Wholesome & Sons Publishing?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Because all Superheroes need a sequel…Superheroes 2 has found its way into our pocket sized Springfields!  This super event hit our devices…and with it arrived a whole new Event to make us scratch our heads, and drive us slightly insane. So it’s time to break out those donuts for their super hideouts because there’s a whole store full of superhero inspired premium items!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Wholesome and Sons Publishing to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this memory burning building to your town.

Wholesome_&_Sons_Publishing

Building/Decoration: Wholesome & Sons Publishing
Donut Price: 80 Donuts
Earns: $135, 15xp/4hrs
Size: 5×8

Leaves stores on June 21st

Pros:
-Animated building, even when not in use. (it’s on fire…small fire, but fire still)
-Comes with a questline

Cons:
-No character interaction
-While it comes with a questline, it’s a short questline (1 part) and the task doesn’t even take place at the building

Final Thought:
Premium:
I’m not a big fan.  It’s just a building.  And it doesn’t do much.  That being said I know there are some of you that like the look (and animation) of it.  And if that’s the case for you…buy it. Because you like it.

Freemium:
Pass.  There’s no benefit to it, and it’s just a building.  Save your donuts for something better down the line.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you I’m passing on this one.  Just not worth it to me, even if it does look cool.  Of course whatever you decide just remember this item is limited time and will be leaving our games (the store) on Tuesday June 21st.  So just make sure you make your final decision before it’s gone from our stores.

Here’s a look at the questline that comes with it…

Burning Memories
Mr. Burns starts

Mr. Burns: Oh Wholesome and Sons, I have many fond memories of avoiding bullies in your comic comfort.  And you’re back, just as I remember…burning.
Make Mr. Burns Recall Childhood Memories- 4hrs, Earns $175, 45xp
Mr. Burns: I used to be haunted by the memories of this place every time I heard my own name.  Now I have the actual shop here to haunt me of father’s arson of my childhood pleasures.. and the shop too I guess.

  1. Do they ever bring back event only items for back to school or Christmas sales? I’d be interested in this because I’m interested in publishing, but not at the current cost since I’m mostly freemium.

    • occasionally but there’s no guarantee if and when they’ll bring it back

    • Considering this building is RARE on the show (its not part of current-era Springfield, we have only seen it like twice maximum via Mr. Burns memories) I would be very surprised if they offered this again. Only thing rarer IMO is the Pro-Shop+Coyote.

    • You’re in luck as it’s in the Superheroes Returns “Heroes & Villains Mystery Box” for 60 doughnuts

  2. Should I Spend Donuts On Citizen Solar & Wind Lad.

  3. forgot: they are (citizen solar and windman) separated. so, each have own tasks. they are not walking together or anything like that.

  4. i bought duo with citizen solar and windman. they help on superheroes jobs (battles and heroes hq house), have their own tasks (when event is over and in event now). funny looking, both for 130 donuts. i think it is great value. and maybe the better/faster way to obtain all of prices/tasks in superheroes event.

  5. I’m desperate for “should I spend donuts on” the two characters… please… pretty please…

  6. Thanks for the 411. What a waste of donuts. I hoped the donut store, when tapped, would rain donuts.

  7. Josephine Kick@$$

Thanks for the rundown, I was on the fence, but I’ll pass on it now😊

  8. I know it is very hard to believe but Alissa is human and not robot *gasps* ! She and the super addicts team will have all item SIB up asap! But they need to be spread around otherwise one day there could be a mountain of posts one day and then a week of silence! Be patient! Posts for every item and aspect of the event ARE coming so just chill and stop asking! LOL 🙂

  9. I know what will be released later in this event, so I will definitely be passing on this and saving my donuts for later.

  10. If I get it, I was thinking about putting it next to the fire station. I haven’t really done anything with it yet but that would be fitting for Springfield, right? A burning building right next to the FS. 😄

  11. I love it. Of course. Love the way it looks next to the tire fire and trash pile

  12. I think I’ll pass. I think it would be a cool prize to craft buy not to buy with my precious donuts.

  13. This is hard for me. I’m always drawn to limited time offers, because I don’t want to regret not purchasing it later. But I don’t really like the look of this one. I would like it better if it weren’t on fire.

  14. I bought it because I wanted some more city buildings to go with Orphan’s Alley, but I kind of regret it. It really doesn’t mesh that well.

  15. Please duo hero should i spend

  16. Off Subject…..does anyone know if any of the Collectors shop craftable items for act 1 add to the XP multiplier bonus %?

The inner arsonist in me made me get it and now I want to strangle that little demon in me, much like Homer strangling Bart.

  18. I kind of want it but I’m not sure I like that it’s always on fire. It would be cool if a character (maybe one of the firefighters) could go in it, and when they did, the flames went out. 🔥

  19. And it does fit in with your orphan alley.

I cannot wait for the “should I buy” for the basketball court and the duo hero packs. I always look forward to those it always helps me determine if I give in our not – armondo86

  21. I’m going to be skipping this building but I love the dark humor of Mr. Burns dialogue
