Where Did THAT Come From – New/Old Superheroes Stuff

Faster than an event speeding donut spender! More powerful than a local Addict! Able to leap long comment threads in a single bound! Look! Up in the TSTO-niverse! It’s a building! It’s a decoration! It’s Superheroes 2016!

In our silly lil game, we sometimes see things pop in that we have no clue as to their Origin. They seem familiar, but we just can’t pinpoint from where. So that is why we decided to make a fun lil reminder out of it. To let you know just Where did THAT Come From?

So unless you’ve been locked away in Lucite, by now you probably realize a new event has splashed all over the screens of our beloved game. New events come with new and olds stuff and that means I have the pleasure of re-watching episodes for my favorite tappers. Of course, sometimes new stuff has already been covered throughly since there’s only so many places certain types of stuff can come from.  For this issue of WDTCF, I decided to link to previously written origin posts since looking back at them, they were done well and cover the new items.  There’s also some returning stuff towards the end of the post.

In the case of Springfield Books (2,410 Trading Cards), The Collector Lucite Statue (785 Trading Cards), The Collector’s Car (965 Trading Cards), and the Lucite Container ( 325 Trading Cards), it’s probably no surprise that they all come from the same episode as The Collector. Here’s the post detailing the segment from “Treehouse of Horror X” (S11:E4).  Yes, all the craftables from Act One are from one episode which happens to be one of my favorites.

For the Pie Man Epic Statue (7th Social Battle Prize), it’s actually sort of unique but is completely based on the episode which highlighted Homer as Pie Man. Bunny did a great post which pre-dated the first Superheroes Event (Feb 2015) by almost a year.  Here’s her look at “Simple Simpson” (S15:E19). The image at the end of that post is what was used for the pose of the statue.  Dang it, now I want pie AND the Cupcake Kid AND cupcakes.

Funny that Bunny was on the money of something that came later like sweet, sweet honey.  Poetry aside, Act One so far has also brought back other items we already wrote about:

Clownface

Fruitbat Man & his Signal

The National Bank of Springfield

Just click on the links if those interest you. There’s actually a few more origins for stuff that hasn’t arrived in the Superheroes Sequel yet if you’re interested. Here’s the link to all of the WDTCFs for Superheroes 2015.  Just scroll down to the Where Did THAT Come From section.  Hint, a lot of upcoming stuff comes from the same episodes.

So there you go friends.  Some origins for new and returning stuff.  What do you think of it all?  I’m hoping to get all the new Collector stuff for sure.  Happy to see the return of Pie Man and Clownface for free? Sound off in the comments and stay classy super friends!

  1. Trading cards… so I’ve crafted everything, and bought the largest box of 20 Band-Aids, and I have enough trading cards to buy a couple more. Does anyone know if the trading cards roll over to Act 2, so I should save them up to get a head start on crafting, or should I spend them because Act 2 uses some other kind of currency to craft?

  2. For some reason, I can’t find Radioactive Man. I thought I had him, and I’m stuck at the part where Bart needs to Make a Fool of Himself, however, because I don’t “have” Radioactive Man, I cannot continue my mission. 🙁 What do I do?

Do we know what Conform-O-Meter rates these new crafatable items give??

  4. I probably missed out something, but it looks like the prices for band aids have changed in my game. Now I actually get a discount if I buy more.

  5. Someone stole my burrito™

I feel very lucky that I love the weird, small items. Like, I could never get the book store and not care ( most of the buildings are too out of proportion and my OCD can’t find a way to be OK with that ), but the little items are interesting and in proportion. The upcoming Kiosk prize has me more excited than the film studio or bookstore.
I don’t know why I felt the need to express this.

  6. I can not complete the quest “releasing pressure”, Because there is no Icon for social battles when i got to friends towns. I have tried going to the AI “other” Springfield too, but it does not work there ether.

I have tried reinstalling the game, and i have tried logging in and out , but i have had no success.

Has anyone else been experiencing tis same issue? Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

    • Your friend/s must of built orphan alley for you to be able to fight them, if they have it built, the game should take you to It.

      • Bummer. I’m antisocial and have no real friends…. And the default Other Springfield didn’t build the alley. I know I was able to play Other Springfield in Tapball.

I may have to resort to starting an independent game for such things. “I love me, I think I’m grand, when I go to the movies, I hold my hand.”

  7. My name is Tracy, and I’m a Tapped-aholic, but I don’t watch the TV show – shame on me.
That being admitted, early this morning, vey early, I crafted the book store. Bart and Millhouse are now on an 8 hour quest.
Next up, the collectors statue or car.
Neither have any meaning to me. Other than craft Top Down, most expensive to least, any suggestions?
    (I’m also not a completionist.)

    • I, like you, craft from the top down. I woke up at 10am, so not very early, I too crafted the book store and have Bart and Milhouse on the 8 hour task.

My suggestion is why deviate from our playing technique. Let’s keep going top down. I find getting the hardest prizes crafted first and leaving the easiest ones for last makes it feel less daunting if I’m still working on the last prize when the Act is coming to an end.

      The Collector’s Car FTW!

  8. Whenever I automatically put all my characters on missions, Bart, Snake and Maggie are left out. It does this when a character is needed for another job. I know Bart and Snake have or will have Superskins soon, but does this mean Maggie will too.
I hope so, I really, really hope so.

    • (SPOILER ALERT) Yes it does. If you click on character collections, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie will all have new Superhero skins in Act 2 or 3.

  9. Has anyone seen petroleus rex return to the store? I saw it mentioned on another (less reliable) site, but haven’t seen it in my game. It was the only thing I passed on during the last superhero event and now I’m regretting it.

    • Yes I pop up this AM for me same price as last year according to the site. he helps with Battles starts at three harts. down side you can send him to burns house

  10. Anyone got experience accidentally selling Willie shed? I think I must have accidentally sold him. I am now building the shed again but i am not sure if I will lost his stonecutter skin or the slave labour skin.

Does anyone know why everytime I open the app there is a 1,000mb update to download that leads to no changes? Its killing my data and I can’t play the event because I have no more data……is there something wrong with the app? Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app and my phone is only 2 months old. Any help is appreciated.

  12. My IRS building tap radius, which is maxed out, went way down after completing the first act that’s supposed to increase the villain tap radius. Anyone else experience this?

    • My IRS radius still OK. Now working on level 6 for the Mansion but have not noticed a change in the tap radii of the criminals.

    • The IRS Radius is a bit… wonky. More than half the time, it doesn’t work if the Lunchlady is the ‘center’ of the tap…

  13. I was just wondering if anyone else feels like the trading cards arent adding up properly?

I havent spent a single one, i like crafting the most expensive thing first but i cant comprehend why I have 19500 knuckle things but only 1470 trading cards. I know the knuckle things get supplimented in other ways but it can’t be that drastically different.

    • Most of your brass knuckles are coming from battles and the trading cards are only dropped by tapping felons in town (your’s and your first 10 neighbours’). The drop rates really are that different.

    • I was just thinking about this.. I have 21000 knuckles but only 1275 trading cards. I’ve spent some on band-aids but only like 100-200 so it seems like we have roughly the same amount of both..

    • You seem to be on par with most people. I also start with the most expensive. By the time I managed to get the 2,410 trading cards for the book store this morning, I had over 35,000 knuckles.

As Beccammentioned, drop rates of the two are quite independent. Try to not leave your Springfield (aka try not to close the game), until you’ve cleared all criminals and get the warning that there are no more criminals in your town. Best way to do this is before you are ready to close, just wait in one spot for about 5min (depending on the size of your Springfield). As you wait in one spot, all the criminals will come to you.

  14. Does anyone know if plopped will return?

  15. Yes Wookster! Another GREAT origins post! Love these! Can I just point out that there have been some AMAZING posts today on addicts! All very helpful and detailed and I loved ready every one!
