Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Superheroes 2 has found its way into our pocket sized Springfields! This super event hit our devices and it’s full of super inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Issues, with each Issue containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Issue. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the First Issue you’re tasked with collecting Brass Knuckles () to unlock each prize!
The seventh Issue 1 prize awarded at 52,950 is Old King Coal, because he’s merry old soul….

Once you’ve collected 52,950 you’ll automatically be awarded Old King Coal and you’ll see this message popup:

Congratulations, you’ve finished all of the Issue 1 Prizes! Now it’s time to collect Bonuts! For every 10,000 you collect you’ll have a chance for 1, 2 or 3 donuts! Sweet huh?
So just relax and collect those free donuts while you can, and hang tight until Issue 2 drops in our laps tomorrow morning.
So that my friends is the full breakdown of the Seventh and final Issue 1 prize!
What do you think of Old King Coal? Were you quick to unlock it? Thoughts on Issue 1? Thinking the sequel is better than the original? Or still like the original better? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
Hi all! Does anyone know how I can see the character collections in the game? I can’t seem to remember how to make that work again!!! I keep looking for a button, but nothing… I mean the collections such as ‘villians’ , ‘children’ etc, regarding who I have and who i still need.
Thank you!
Tap on the buy button (hammer/saw). In the bottom left of the screen will be a button that looks like Homer as a golden award. Tapping that will take you to the character collections. Then just scroll to whatever you want to see.
Totally unrelated (*ahem*), but charcoal is not a fossil fuel.
I’m just sayin…
Maybe they think of it as the sexy cousin of fossil fuels?
Sexy cousin? Where are we, Shelbyville??
lol
Charcoal is not coal. And coal IS a fossil fuel.
Still no Estonian midget? 🙁
I’m not gonna make it time. Should I drop 70 donuts to buy King Coal?
If you really want him. Full-fledged character with tasks. Hard to tell anyone what to do. Anyone else have thoughts?
Keep working hard till the last minutes, his price will drop, don’t buy now.
If you really want him after and you feel the cost is good then why not, like Wookie said, full-fledged character with tasks
Thanks. Canadian here so I am just about outta time. Appreciate the advice!
How’d you go? Pick himi up at a good price?
I missed him. I was behind because I am in the hospital for emergency gall bladder removal. I was trying to get his price down and I fell asleep! Darn meds..
You should still be able to buy him if you want if you click on the Act 1 prize track.
Hope your Op went well and you have a speedy recovery
Agree with Kevin from Big Texas. Keep earning knuckles as long as you can. You still have time for at least one more felon team release from the orphan alley, good for over 1,000 knuckles. Plus criminals in your town, and if you haven’t done your daily neighbour visits. All these things should drive down the price from 70 donuts to a much affordable price. Just make sure if you want it, you check back before Issue 1 ends in just over 4 hours.
See what you can do to shave the price down, but I would totally have spent some donuts on him. Personal preference, of course!
keep grinding until the very last half hour and at least the donut price to get him will drop as low as possible. Buying now means buying high. Also keep trying the lose-to-increase-points method to boost your reward!
Just unlocked him with only a few hours on the clock 🙂 happy I made it! Also just gathered enough cards for the bookstore which is building right now.
Should I save the trading cards for the next round or use them up?
Save them.
First bank of Springfield is out in the store for 60 donuts!
Anyone know if when issue 2 triggers, you can still collect issue 1 prizes after?
I missed a day or two due to working hours and am behind schedule!

It would be interesting to see if Old King Coal has any role to play in the next Christmas event.
Just earned my second round of bonuts! Going to stop collecting until the next issue comes out. I can hardly wait to see what is next!!!
Nice job neighbour! Be sure to hide some donuts with your criminals for the next time I come tapping.
No, keep collecting: You get Trading Cards!
I don’t think I’ve seen the episode this guy came from, because I don’t remember him at all. But I really like him! He looks awesome.
https://tstoaddicts.com/2015/02/26/where-did-that-come-from-petroleus-rex/
Apparently he was “in” two episdoes: “Opposites A-Frack”, and “Married to the Blob”. He was a member of the “The Fossil Fuel Four”. A group of super-villains that killed Radioactive man.
Yes…. Guess I can just delete my origin post now
noooooo! i read em all, and enjoy the commentary and screen caps. unlike most of the people on here, i haven’t seen any of the newer seasons, besides an episode here or there.
i’m sure you were just joking, but keep doing your thing bro!
Thanks bud. It was meant tongue and cheek. I’ll keep doing them even if they’re just for me to relive episodes.
I gathered that much. I’m one of those people that actually reads the posts! Whaaaat? Crazy, i know. I just haven’t seen the episodes so I wasn’t familiar with him.
Who’s in your starting Trio???
1. The Collider
2. Radioactive Man
3. Old King Coal
My three 5 heart characters, which is my ultimate trio, is Brawn Pie Man, Brain Dr. Colossus, and Tech The Collider. Everyone else is still level 2.
My starters are
1.radioactive man
2. The collider
3.Petroleus Rex
Now that Issue 1 is coming to an end I’d like to know if the cards for purchasing from “The Collector’s Shop” will be carried over into Issue 2. I have collected what I want and am wondering if I should spend the rest on bandages.

When I unlocked him and saw his tag line, I had the biggest smile on my face (I’m a HUGE ghostbusters fan). Quite happy to have him as a prize and I like the look of him. He reminds me of the Thing 🙂
Does anyone know if when issue 2 starts will I still be able to get king coal ?
If you haven’t earned him you will be able to get prizes with donuts.
Probably not gonna get this guy….not even close. But i don’t even want this thing in my town honestly. Not too thrilled with this event. 😞
Who you gonna coal? Old King Coal!
Question: I haven’t been upgrading my fighters as I have been easily winning all 3 battles as soon as I release 3 new fights…. so just been saving my upgrading jewels.
Should I go ahead and do all my upgrades? Or save them for possible something else. Any opinions?
I’ve been upgrading my fighters as soon as I can. But with you being this late into Issue 1, I don’t see any reason not to wait until Issue 2 starts to see if there might be another purpose for your jewels. If there isn’t anything new to use them for, then I’d just go ahead and upgrade.
If you’ve lasted this long you might as well keep them until act 2 starts, but I would recommend you start using them in act 2 because number 1, your players automatically fully heal when you upgrade them, and number 2, you get more rewards when you beat 5 heart felons than 3 heart felons, and you’ll only battle 5 heart felons once you start upgrading you own to 5 hearts.
I’ve been purposefully NOT upgrading my fighters so I can have most of them lose easily for more rewards overall.
Short answer = “it depends”. But here are a few things to consider…
* The level of villains you fight depends on the number and levels of the heroes you have. If all 3 villains are not 3 stars every time (giving max event currency bonus for hearts), then you should upgrade now.
* You need to upgrade a certain number of times to be eligible for bonuts. If you still have an “Upgrade X times” quest-line and now have King Coal, but aren’t collecting brass knuckles towards bonuts, you should consider upgrading… although it might be too late now to earn bonuts in the ~14hrs remaining in Issue 1.
* If you are saving up felon mobs to fight after Issue 2 starts (so that you don’t waste event currency for a bonut goal you won’t reach), you should probably not upgrade because upgrading in Issue 2 will help you in recharging your heroes to clear your felon backlog.
* If you plan on buying/acquiring more heroes in later acts, I would not upgrade; this way you can wait and see if you want to save your jewels for upgrading Plopper (for example) or Clobber Girl (or whatever).
Finite gems will continue throughout the event. So if you want to hold on to them, you can save them. I personally have over 14,000 finite gems, because I have only upgraded three characters to 5 hearts and have kept all my other characters at 2 hearts, and plan on upgrading everyone to 5 hearts on the very last day of the event.
I could be wrong, but I think if you upgrade your fighters, then the enemies you fight are tougher (have more hearts). Therefore when you win you will receive more of a bonus for destroying more hearts. I don’t think that the jewels have any other benefit to save them for.
upgrade as much as you can. you get some extra knuckles by doing so. they are also not used for anything else so ya …
I’m really sad that Milhouse’s superhero outfit doesn’t do anything in this sequel. 🙁
Heeeey that does suck!! He should at least be able to earn square inches or something.
I am too 🙁
