Today is America’s Birthday! Being that Bunny, Wookiee and I are all located in the US we’re taking the day to spend time with our families and friends to celebrate the day America announced it’s Independence. So we really won’t be around much today, as we’re taking a much needed day to recover, relax and celebrate with our families! (and in my case pack up my house for our upcoming move…)

I know you were trying to be helpful by posting this, but this is a no-spoilers site, so the prize pictures for Issue 3 shouldn’t have been included when you posted this.
A little underwhelmed by what I see 😕
I just tried not to see too much.
I decided to opt for looking up the Issue 3 crafting stuff, so I could plan how much to spend on crafting this issue’s stuff, which made me spill the more want to NOT see the prize track, so there could be some surprised to look forward to.
I did see a couple of things, but, fortunately, this time my leaky memory is in my favor, as I’ve kind of forgotten what I saw. 🙂
(And, also fortunately, I read most of the comments via email, so I should be able to avoid seeing that calendar again in the future.)
I only looked at it briefly, but wasn’t too impressed. I’m still wondering what in the world I’m going to do with all this water & gems lol
I use some of the water for the social battles (I fight two neighbors who each have three 5-heart sets of muscle fighters, so I use my one 4-heart tech fighter and keep feeding him water during the battles), but I have over 1,700 finite stones I know I’ll probably never use. I always turn down daily tasks that earns those!
Your declaration made me go look at mine.
I have 12145 cards and 24952 stones
I am at 318 wins and 1045 loses
That’s pretty much what I use them for, it would be nice if we could invert them to trading cards later 😊😊😊😊

Happy belated 4th to all my American friends. Friday, July 1st was Canada Day (happy belated Canada Day to all my Canadian friends). Since I’m currently working on a U.S. contract, I took both days off and had the most wonderful 4 day weekend ever. I hope everyone celebrated in style and had as relaxing a time as I did. I did fall a bit behind (missed rail yard bonuts for the first time in ages), but it was worth it, and I may take it a bit more easy over the summer. I even considered logging in for my weekly open thread read and update but was too happy and lazy, and went “meh”, so this will have to suffice – have a great week all!
Is anyone else getting an occasional problem where after tapping on science water or tapping on the swap fighters button that your taps to either heal or select the fighter you want to swap to are totally unresponsive? It ends up costing me a fighter since I have to fight until they die THEN select a new one from the ones remaining.
It’s not my phone, rest of the game plays fine & all other phone functions & apps are fine.

So last night during a felon battle it became unresponsive again. Couldn’t heal or swap. Then it got weird. Ended up with 2 of my fighters superimposed in middle of the screen. Game unresponsive. Then just 1 felon to the right. My only option was to retreat which I didn’t want to do & probably wouldn’t have worked. Force quit game several times, it kept reopening to the popup asking is I want to retreat or resume. Eventually I just ended up with Plopper in the middle of the screen & nothing else anywhere. It finally finished or quit out by itself. This all took around 10min. Getting very frustrating.

How do I feel about today? Well, I start the day off with a patch. I can’t install this update because of “insufficient space” so I try clearing everything, and it’s everything and it still doesn’t update. So, I had to clear the DLC and download it all over again. Works now….
No more patches on holidays, EA, please!

I’ve been to so many Toronto Blue Jays games over the past 27 years that I have long since memorized the Star Spangled Banner.
When I was in elementary school, my grade sang at a Jays game and we all had to learn the American anthem….until then all I knew was “oh say, can you see” lol
That’s nice. Why were they singing it to begin with? Was it like a game between a Canadian team and an American Team?
Both anthems are always sung when a Canadian and American team play against each other.

Happy 4th to everyone in the US and to those over seas have (or had rather) a stress free Monday.! Normally my whole family, immediate and some extended, would go to a town 45 minutes south of us to a car show/ fair/ demolition derby ending with a 30 minute firework display. It was a tradition of 15 years but sadly the town has canceled the whole thing over a debate over bouncey houses. So this year it is hopefully going to be a quiet, stress free 4th this year.
“If we can’t have our bouncy houses, then forget the whole thing!” Or “If you have bouncy houses there, then we’re not going!”?
Either way, sounds pretty silly, but I know that’s how small-town politics can go. How you enjoyed your quiet day! 🙂
LOL Pretty much but it was the founder saying that “no bouncy houses, everything ends” while the city was saying “no insurance that covers every user individually no bouncy houses”. Lovely politics LOL. Thank you and hope you had a great day too!
If kids don’t grow up getting injured how will they ever survive without medical coverage when they’re grown-ups?
Well, I can kind of see their point in a way. There have been a few stories about a strong wind gust catching those things and they fly hundreds of feet in to the air before crashing back down. But I would think that they would get the same kind of insurance that amusement parks have to cover things like that or have parents sign waivers saying they won’t hold the event or the sponsors liable for any broken arms or legs. Really though I always thought being injured, bumps, bruises and broken bones were all part of growing up.
I never had a broken bone growing up. I had a fracture, I think. So, close. I had bumps and bruises, so yes.
If that bounce house flew in the air….wouldn’t it just act like a giant vehicle air bag? 😉 Probably not, but often they only allow one kid in at a time, so less injuries. Last time I brought my kid to one of those they made me sign a waiver, yeah. Maybe the city didn’t think waiver were good enough and they needed insurance, too.
Dang you are lucky! Especially when I was a teen I was always breaking a bone LOL. But then I helped my dad break horses so that may have had something to do with it. You would think that it would act like a air bag but maybe they didn’t. I think what it was was the money all those activities brought in went to various charities and the city wasn’t getting enough just from the people that would come from out of state for all 2 days of it and would stay in hotels and all that comes with tourists. So they didn’t like it LOL.

Yesterday I checked the hub page for the superheroes event in hope to find a link for the issue 2 calendar, since I’ve not been very active during the last days and I wanted to see if I was behind schedule. Unfortunately I realized that there were no links to any issue 2 related articles at all on the hub page so I had to scroll through the list of articles to find the calendar (I am not behind schedule). When you linked to the hub here I thought that meant you had updated the hub with links but alas, there are still only links to articles related to issue 1. My suggestion is that you either update the hub or remove the link to it from the quick links on the side of the site (and from this article), if it is not kept up to date it is more annoying than useful.
Ps. It is not my intention to sound rude or anything like that, if I do I blame that English is not my first language. Thanks for an otherwise fantastic blog! 🙂

Anybody else notice how their present to us (even those of us with no connection to the US) was a Catherine Wheel that’s available in the shop in exchange for doughnuts? I bet those who bought it last week are fuming about that.
i was fuming cuz i bought 2 of those, but hey, why get mad about a free gift? the xp % increase is pretty good for 40 donuts but I stopped after 2 because I didn’t want to spend over 100 sprinklies, but now i get 1 extra to boost my XP% so I’m pretty happy overall.

Watching my hometown parade on tv right now (I slept too late, and it was too hot out, to attend in person). It’s such a wonderfully sincere parade…I love my adopted hometown!
(My other favorite parade, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the parade of my first-and-always hometown, NYC, is at the other end of the extreme…a wonderfully over-the-top (literally, with those ginormous balloons) extravaganza.)
