Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Up and Atom! Looks like we’ve got ourselves a Super Sequel on our hands! But remember…the Sequel isn’t always better than the original. Superheroes 2 has found its way into our pocket sized Springfields! This super event hit our devices and it’s full of super inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Issues, with each Issue containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Issue. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Issue you’re tasked with collecting Soliant Red (
) to unlock each prize!
The third Issue 2 prize is awarded at 22,300 is the Attack Helicopter, because the Springfield PD has just about everything else….
So let’s take a closer look at this third prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 22,300 you’ll automatically be awarded the Attack Helicopter and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place or store it in your Springfield immediately. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory later to retrieve it.
The Attack Helicopter is a decoration, so there are no tasks for it and no character interaction. And nothing to earn you more . However, it is an animated decoration (when tapped) and a quest does popup prior to unlocking it, with some fun dialogue and a reminder to tap it. Here’s a look at that dialogue:

Wiggum: You know Quimby, Arnie Pye is a lone bird above Springfield. Flying anywhere he wants, looking down on all of us… should he be allowed such unfettered freedom?
Quimby: You do have a point—hey, wait a minute… you’re just gunning for new equipment for that useless department of yours!
Wiggum: In order to make them useful, “useless” departments need new equipment even more.

Arnie Pye: Whoa, I dunno if I wanna be in the air with that beast around.
Wiggum: Ah you’ve got nothing to worry about Arnie, nobody on the force knows how to fly it.
And that’s it to the Attack Helicopter. Not much to it…but here are some quick facts about it:
Size: 7×8
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
What Does it Do?: Flies up just off the ground (hovers over it) when tapped.

What’s Next
X-Ray Machine – Awarded at 41,000 . This will be the next prize we cover in a rundown post. (Technically the 6-Pack of Science Water is the next prize, but we’ve covered Science Water a bunch so we’re not going to dedicate a post to it)

I think there should be a mini update dedicated to a Springfield airport just like there was for the fire station. Then there could be a pilot homer outfit

Don’t know as we’re not seeing it. I did have a patch today.
I’m going to have move and expand my spaceport/airport. It already doesn’t have room for the Spruce Moose and now the Attack Helicopter is sitting out in the middle of nowhere too. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good place to put a larger airport without major reshuffling.
I put the X-Ray machine behind the school since it’s supposed to be inside the gym.
having an airport in my town already, i knew right away where these two prizes would be going. attack heli is yet another aircraft to go along with the up up and buffet plane, spruce moose, quadcopter, ziff heli, hot air balloon and duff blimp. and the xray machine looks perfectly “lame” as a curbside/outdoor baggage check in front of the airport terminal. 😉

Very cool. I was thinking along the same lines but waiting to the end of the event to move most of my stuff. Now I may have to move them earlier than planned.

What building are you using as the terminals? Whatever it is, it looks great! Since my whole town is a mess, and I have to start somewhere, this looks like a perfect place to start. Thanks for the inspiration.
el chemistri is the terminal building, the springfield skating rink is the hangar, up up and buffet is the airplane, and the egg nog bar is the maintenance building at the end of the runway. the idea of using those buildings weren’t my own (save for the maintenance building), but the design of the airport, down to the long-term parking, is. glad you could find inspiration to build on!
This looks great! I’ve got the start of an airport with the up buffet, and may borrow an idea or two to expand it now that we’ve got more aircraft. RachelS
I placed mine in my airport area. Just wish I had actual airport buildings and more aircraft to go with it.
What I wouldn’t give for the graffiti-covered New York plane from “A Star is Burns.”
Cool prize. Didn’t expect it to fly around town but with Arnie Pie mentioned in the dialog I did get my hopes up for a second.
Haha, a “joyride” job for Arnie would be tops.

I put this right in front of the Penitentiary next to the crashed prison bus. The x ray machine is lame though. Unless you tap it it just looks like a plain grey box. I stuck it in front of Hibberts Family Practice office.
I agree about the x-ray machine being lame.
I wouldn’t know: Mine’s sitting in my inventory, collecting dust.
