Should I Spend Donuts On Superheroes Issue 2/3 Returning Items?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Because all Superheroes need a sequel…Superheroes 2 has found its way into our pocket sized Springfields!  This super event hit our devices…and with it arrived a whole new Event to make us scratch our heads, and drive us slightly insane. So it’s time to break out those donuts for their super hideouts because there’s a whole store full of superhero inspired premium items!

Naturally, as with every event, there’s returning content in our stores that you can spend your donuts on.  Some returning items were once available for donuts and some were once free prizes that have come back as premium items.  Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon (especially if it’s making it’s second return to our stores).  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Bartman, Radioactive Man or the Radstation Air Fortress to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these sequel returns to your town.

So this is more or less going to be a rundown of each item, since they’re returning and we’ve previously written info about each.  I’ll give you my quick opinion on them and then link to their older posts….

Item: Air Fortress
Donut Price: 225 Donuts
Previous Price: 225 Donuts Superheroes 1
Earns: $200, 22xp/8hrs AND Earns a 5% (yes this earns BOTH currency and a bonus %)
Size: Hovers in the air so it’ll only take up a 4×4 square of space on the ground
Conform-O-Meter: Obedience +10
Highlights: Another building for Springfield, looks cool and Fallout Boy has a task there.
Is it Worth the Donuts: I own it, I enjoy it…but it is crazy expensive.  Would I spend the donuts again?  Probably not.  But if you like something cool that has a small footprint in Springfield and earns a sweet bonus pick this one up…it’s still pretty cool 😉
Previous Posts: Should I Buy (includes questline and dialogue)

The Radstation is available for a limited-time, so make your decision before it leaves our games again

Character(s): Bartman and Radioactive man
Buildings/Decorations: Bart Cave & Kane Manor
Donut Price: 230 Donuts*
Previous Price: Radioactive Man was Free (Prize) for Superheroes 1 and Bartman was a premium skin (Bart cave was premium item)
Earns: At a premium rate, so 50% more on cash and XP
Buildings Earn: Cave- $55, 5xp/1hr; Kane Manor- $150, 13xp/8hrs
Highlights:  They both come with a questline and you can use them in battles (both brawn)
Is it Worth the Donuts: This combo is pricey.  I  liked Bartman last yaer and thought he was worth the donuts (since I own him now) and Radioactive Man I won.  But if you don’t have either…this is a pricey combo.  That being said…if I had the donuts I probably pick this combo up.

*If you already have Radioactive Man you can purchase Bartman for 60 donuts and the Cave for 55 donuts.  If you already have Bartman and not Radioactive Man you can purchase Radioactive Man for 60 donuts and Kane Manor for 55 donuts.

Some of you are having issues with Radioactive Man’s 8hr task.  His 8hr task requires Kane Manor.  So if you don’t have Kane Manor in your Springfield it will show as a locked task. So to unlock it, you’ll need Kane Manor in your Springfield.  That may mean just pulling it from inventory…or it means purchasing it with donuts.  Either way it’s needed for the 8hr task.

These Characters are limited-time, so be sure to pick them up before they leave our stores again (if you want them)

  1. Has anyone else been locked out of the game? Origin login not working password fail. Reset password EA sorry there is a technical issue.

  2. Radioactive Man “no quest”update: I added a topic to the the Simpsons forum on EA and chatted with support today. The tech said popularity, so this is a back burner issue unless more folks complain about it. Support tech stated he will bring issue to ‘concerns’ list for game, but that is different department and no ETA for fix.. More complaints = quicker fix but since this only happened to folks who made new RM purchase, not sure if our numbers are large enough to ‘make fix’ on popular list. So my suggestion is if you are having same issue, go to forum and add your complaint.

  3. How do I contact EA to fix Kane Manor not beginning quest line?

  4. The bundle costs the same as all items purchased separately? Isn’t there usually some sort of “deal” involved? And if there isn’t, they should have just offered the items on their own, so people can at least pick and choose what they want…

  5. I purchased this combo, but I never received a questline for Radioactiveman. I have had Bartman’s one, and Dawn of Justness, but no “Epilogue” questline for Radioactiveman. Unfortunately, this means that his 8 hour “Relax” task is still locked. Any ideas for how to trigger it/unlock the task?

(And yes, I have stored Radioactiveman and Kane Manor in my inventory and brought them out multiple times.)

  6. Darn, I would have bought the characters, but the price is a little high for a couple of buildings added on that I do not care much about.

  7. Stephanieitsme

I like that you can place the Air Fortress over water too!

  8. All impatient tappers rejoice. Charcoal Briquette is available as a craftable!

  9. So where did that big head of Radioactive Man come in to the last event? I would have thought that it would be bundled with Radioactive Man. Does it not make sense to release it with this event? I see it a neighbors and I don’t know anything about it…. so I had hoped I’d know “something” about it during this event.

I agree with others that we really need to be able to replay some events. Maybe a simple speed run version. Probably not get to keep any prizes, to be fair…. 🙁

It’s called the Radioactive Man Statue and it cost $1000 to build. You had to fight the statue in the final battle of the first superhero event. There are different skins for it (glowing, smoking, etc).

  10. Alwaysbesurfing

I’ve been waiting so long for the Radstation to come back. Had a technical issue and missed the last Superheros event, this is the one thing I was always sad I didn’t have. I think this is the coolest “building” in the game, bought it immediately, no regrets.

  11. The Radioactive Man 8 hour task is locked for me too. I tried storing and placing Kane Manor again and that didn’t help. It says it requires a quest but no questline starts. I had similar issues with Clownface and the Collider and those were fixed with a patch (except for Collider tasks needing Death Mountain) so hopefully this will be too?

  12. If you buy Bartman, then do you have to choose between him and stretch dude for battle or will both be available. I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere but I could not find it.

    • Only one can battle at a time. So you can’t use both in the same battle…but they’ll both be available for battles overall.

How come marge doest have a superhero persona?

  14. Sorry, I’m sure this must have been asked 1000 times. If a previously free (prize) character/skin becomes premium, is that only for the people who buy it at premium, or is that for everyone? So if someone, say, won Radioactive Man for free in a previous event and earned a “regular” rate, would he now automatically get the premium rate for those people?

I was hoping for a return of the Radstation Air Fortress. I’m freaked out by the price, especially since I need yes, I said need😂😂), Bartman’s Cave!?! I’ve come to the conclusion that if I’m on the fence on something I think looks cool, I NEED to buy it. My reasoning is that once it’s gone & I see how awesome it is in a neighbor’s town, I tend to covet it… which is breaking a commandment!!! So basically I’m saving my eternal soul by buying it 😇😂😇😂 That’s my story and I’m sticking to it 😝😝😝😂😂😂

  16. Can I get only RadioactiveMan? I don’t have Bartman either but just want Radioactive man

  17. Why did they not simply call it The Bart-Cave?

  18. I’ve been waiting for Radioactive Man to return ever since I started playing, so was excited to finally have the chance to get him with this event.
But I don’t like having to buy 3 other things in order to get him. I don’t have enough donuts for the bundle so will buy more donuts this time.

But in protest, I will not buy donuts again for one year.

And they got some money from me several times this year so far which I was happy to spend. Hopefully they put an end to this type of cash grab.

    • Good chance there’s going to be another platinum scratcher. just saying, if you’re thinking of buying. (I’m a mostly freemium player who only buys platinum scratchers)

  19. Really disappointed in the Bartman/Radioactive combo. I really want Radioactive Man, but don’t want to pay 230 donuts just for the one character since the other stuff included doesn’t really appeal to me.

  20. Alissa– Thank you for posting this information. The content is extremely helpful for us “donut-conscious” players somewhere between freemium and premium status. Don’t let the posts that only point out minor errors get you down. A lot of us sincerely appreciate your effort!

  21. I bought the Bartman/Radioactive Man Combo and I have placed Kane Manor in my Springfield, but Radioactive Man’s 8 hr task is still locked. In fact, Radioactive Man’s quest line won’t start at all. Just Bartman’s. Any suggestions?

  22. OMG – I just clicked on the link for the SIB for Bartman and the first comment I saw was the one where Tapebelt first(?) coined the word “bonut”! 😀

Trying to decide whether to get Bartman…I already have a premium skin for Bart and I don’t often spend donuts just for skins, but I know he’s kinda iconic… Also on the fence about getting the Scoutmaster, so I’ll be interested in the SIB for that and the comments people have to say about it. (Is he really “superhero-ish,” or can he fit in as a “real” scoutmaster in my town the rest of the time (i.e., when the event isn’t going on). I generally prefer the more “real” characters (with some notable exceptions, like Spider Pig, of course!).

  23. I bought this combo and even though I received Kane manor as part of the combo, Radioactiveman’s 8 hr. task is still locked out for me. Is this a glitch?

    • Hmmm did you do any of the questline?

      • The only quest line that started up was for Bartman. I thought that maybe because I haven’t completed Bartman’s 24hrs. of Brooding that maybe you need to finish one before the other starts? No questline for Radioactive man. Has anyone else that purchased the Bartman/Radioactive Man bundle have a quest start up for Radioactive Man? Great site that you have here. I started playing this game at the end of the Monorail event and have been playing everyday since. Keep up the good work.

      • I did try to store Kane Manor and re-place it but, it didn’t store Radioactive Man. If he’s not tied to a building, how can I get this to restart? Should I delete and reinstall the game?

  24. We all make mistakes! And brace yourself for the biggest plot-twist since Snape killed Dumbledore (best Harry Potter reference … ever) … Alissa is human too! *gasp* Mistakes just PROVE that you are human creating a rapport with the reader 😀 I guess we will find it in our addicted hearts to forgive you for your tiny mistake! LOL, you know I am joking right Alissa? 😂

  25. Thanks for the update. I had posted about this 4 pack combo purchase on another thread. I purchased this for the 230 donuts (and yes I’m a fremium player, lol, but I wanted these badly enough!). I do have the Kane Manor out of my inventory and placed in my Springfield but the Radioactive Man quest line never triggered, hence no 8 hour “relax’ task. Wookiee had stated maybe I need the Beach House for it? I checked the ‘Beach House’ on here and it only mentioned a 16 hour task with that building. My other thought was that maybe once Bartman finishes his quest line, the Radioactive Man quest line will start after?

  26. Odd… I don’t remember the Rad Station being free. Likewise, your previous post seems to suggest otherwise: https://tstoaddicts.com/2015/02/26/226-in-game-update-radstation-air-fortress/

    • it wasn’t. I think i just forgot to update that line

      • Pffft… third post to mention the error before you had a chance to update — and now I’m only adding to the annoyance factor. I guess that’s what I get for pointing out the obvious. lol

        • lol never an annoyance. Just made me laugh at the number of people that jumped on me for that mistake. How upset they all were lol

        • I’m usually afraid to point out a mistake, for many reasons, but one of them is that after comment moderation I probably won’t event be the first to do so. If I’m not first, might as well not even correct the mistake. Yeah, that’s how I feel. *folds arms*

To Alissa below this, they didn’t seem upset. That’s just how I read it. Maybe excited to help correct the mistake. Dunno. But just text on the internot, who can be sure?

  27. The Air Fortress was NOT free as a prize in Superheroes 1. Maybe you were thinking of the Mansion or the Car, but the Fortress costed Donuts in the old event.

  28. I imagine it was a mistake, but the Radstation wasn’t a prize in Superheroes 1, it was a premium buy. I can’t remember but I think it was the same price last year.

    • It was premium. It was a mistake it’s fixed now. Luckily no one is going to die because I made a mistake in the previous price for it…

      • I regret to inform you that freemium completionist Juan Gama has died after learning he missed out on the freemium Rad Station. If only the post was correct from the get go, this tragedy could have been avoided.

      • Hey Alissa, I think you may have goofed on something…

      • I’m sorry if I offended or annoyed you, I was merely trying to point out a mistake so that it could be rectified early to help you and avoid comments asking how it could be obtained last year or why it was therefore so expensive this year.

  29. So glad I got them last year. If I hadn’t, despite having a new character, this would be a pass for me, as there are many other premium characters I’d rather get like Herb Powell, Frank Grimes, Arnie Pye, etc.

    • If you get Arnie Pye, don’t use his helicopter task. It’s annoying to neighbors, too. *loathes*

      • A few times I accidentally sent him on the chopper. During felon battle, he will definitely fly in to take a closer look and then fly off. Very annoying.

        • Does he get in the way of selecting Fighters, too?

        • Josephine Kick@$$

That’s good to know, thank you! I’m a wannabe premium but only a freemium player, and I scrimped & saved for Arnie because I thought the flying helicopter was so cool. I was quickly disappointed the first time I tried to tap something that he was flying near & it took me to the Channel 6 Studios building.

  30. The rad station was not a prize. 🙂
