Superheroes Sequel 101: Issue 3 Crafting

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Because all Superheroes need a sequel…Superheroes 2 has found its way into our pocket sized Springfields!  This super event hit our devices…and with it arrived a whole new Event to make us scratch our heads, and drive us slightly insane.  😉

And on that insane note, let’s talk about everyone’s favorite topic….CRAFTING!

Love it or hate it, EA has proven over the last year + that crafting is here to stay.  While the prizes themselves are pretty self explanatory, collect this to earn these prizes, crafting is a whole other “animal”.  Crafting requires some self direction.  You decide what you want and collect the items to craft accordingly.  Sometimes this is successful and sometimes it’s not. And, as with all things, for some events crafting is easier than others.  Luckily for us, this event crafting is pretty simple and straight forward.  EA has really fine tuned their message for this event..

Now I know some of you still have questions about what to craft, if you should wait or craft now and what will happen when it all ends…so as we’ve done in the past, we’re here to breakdown all the crafting fun for you guys.  So let’s take a look at the complete guide to Crafting in Issue 3…

For those looking for the how tos of crafting, I’ve broken it all down in the Issue 1 post, which you can find here.

 

So assuming you’ve got the basics down…let’s break down each item available for crafting during Issue 3…

Note: i’m excluding the Band-Aids here because we all know what they do by now, and I’ve advised several times not to spend your resources on them.  Just say no 😉

Item: Atomic Bomb
Cost: 170indicator_superheroes2_tradingcards
Size: 3×3
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration… Just hangs out in Springfield.
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 2 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…otherwise I’d save the trading cards for later.

Item: Bent Over Lamp Post
Cost: 170indicator_superheroes2_tradingcards
Size: 1×2
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration… Just hangs out in Springfield.  However, when tapped sparks (can be hard to see) appear where the top of the lamp meets the post.
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 3 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…but don’t get this right away.  There are far better items to craft this time around, so save those cards up to get a better item first.

Item: Zenith City Mailbox
Cost: 170indicator_superheroes2_tradingcards
Size: 1×1
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration…just hangs out in Springfield.  I will say it is TINY in height though.
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 3 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…but don’t get this right away.  There are far better items to craft this time around, so save those cards up to get a better item first.

Size: 3 separate cans, each 1×1 in size
Conform-O-Meter: Each one is Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration…just hangs out in Springfield.  I will say it is TINY in height though.  (comes up to the knees of Felons)
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 3 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…but don’t get this right away.  There are far better items to craft this time around, so save those cards up to get a better item first.

Item: Hero Clothesline

Size: 1×4
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration…just hangs out in Springfield.  (height is up to the chest of the criminals)
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 3 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…but don’t get this right away.  There are far better items to craft this time around, so save those cards up to get a better item first.

Item: High Voltage Transformer

Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration…animated when tapped.  Sparks fly off the switch when tapped.
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 3 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…but don’t get this right away.  There are far better items to craft this time around, so save those cards up to get a better item first.

Item: Painted Horse

Size: 2×3
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +100
Unique: No, you can craft more than 1
What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration…always slightly animated.  Tail will move, ears and eyes will shift slightly.  I will also say this TOWERS over every other decoration we’ve covered so far.
Should I Craft?: If you have the resources you should get it, but this is low on my priority list for Issue 3 Crafting. I’d determine if you really need it in your Springfield…but don’t get this right away.  There are far better items to craft this time around, so save those cards up to get a better item first.

botanicalgardens_menu

Item: Botanical Garden
Cost: 945indicator_superheroes2_tradingcards
Size: 10×10
Conform-O-Meter: Tree Hugging +100
Unique: Yes, 1 per Springfield.  (So if you have it from last year you can’t get another)
What Does It Do?: Building (4hr build time) that earns $150, 13xp/8hrs
Should I Craft?: If you don’t already have it, yes.  This is one of the best items in Issue 3.  But it’s not THE best, item.  So wait to craft until you get the best item you can for Issue 3.

Item: Zenith City Store Front, Apartments & Lofts

Size: Store Front: 4×8; Apartments: 8×6; Lofts: 5×7
Conform-O-Meter: Each is Indolence +10
Unique: Nope grab as many as you’d like
What Does It Do?: Buildings (4hr build), they’ll earn cash and XP. ( $75, 7xp/3hrs)
Should I Craft?: I’ve never been a big fan of these, honestly.  I say if you missed them last year go ahead and craft them.  Yes these are new but not my thing as I skipped the similar ones last year. Personally….I’d save my cards.  I have several of these already and they just sit in inventory.  (yes they earn cash…so in theory (like i said with the gardens) these are a good craft.  But still…they’re sitting in my inventory..)

Character: Charcoal Briquette (France Flag)
Cost: 4,000 indicator_superheroes2_tradingcards
Size: Flag is 2×2
Bonus: Flag has a .25% bonus on it
Unique: Yes, you can only buy 1
What Does it Do: Charcoal Briquette is a full character for Springfield.  She can battle (Tech 4 hearts), completes the Fossil Fuel 4 Character Set and comes with a questline (oh and she has HILARIOUS tasks)
Should I Craft: Yes.  This is, hands down, the best item of all the issue for Superheroes 2.  Craft this before you get anything else from Issue 3.

    Does anyone think that they will introduce anything else into the collector store? I remember they added charcoal girl after the fact, was wondering if there is anything else in the works or not.

    my favorite item to craft this issue is the garbage can pack! FINALLY some more options besides the lidded steel trash can and the pink wastebasket, though i do appreciate the addition of the recycling bins from the monorail event.

      Mine too!! Ive crafted like 4 sets so far, and my plan is to get a lot more. I also really love the bent lamp posts, because ive really been wanting some different type of lamp post. I don’t care if it’s bent, I’ll take it!

    Really underwhelmed by Act 3 crafting, except for Charcoal Briquette of course. I wish I’d crafted more billboards during Act 2. Oh well, I guess I’ll overrun my town with painted horses…..

      Same here. I wished they kept the prizes from the previous issues so that you have more stuff to craft. I’ve already crafted everything at least once, and still have over 7000 cards to burn off. I’d like to use them on the new Zenith building pack rather than on the returning ones.

    The whole EA server-offline thing really screwed me up. Once back online, I realized I lost all my money (over 100k, now at 15) and several of the items crafted. Le sigh, working back to where I was…

    Just purchased dr colossus and I’m extremely annoyed that once again just like radioactive man has an 8 hour locked task, colossus has both a 60m and 24 hour task locked.

    Will there be a SIB for this character anyway?

    Yes ur not alone with EA n their tech issues. I’m about to scream as the game crashes n I’m literally kicked out of my game. Time is crucial do to the amount l need to get each item. EA plz fix this issues.

    Is anyone else unable to login? I didn’t log out, but when I tried to enter the game just now it told me I had to login. I tried repeatedly, even changed my password, but it continues to say “an error occurred logging in.”

    I’m having the same issues with getting booted when hitting the visit neighbor’s button. Now I can’t log into my game. Hopefully it gets corrected soon.

    I don’t know if it has been mentioned somewhere else today or not, but when I try to go to a friends Springfield the game crashes. Is this happening to anyone else? It just started today for me 🙁

    Well I guessed it was a forunate bug when it happened. I got two Botanical Gardens at once. I waited for this post to see if it was a unique item, because it disappeared from the crafting catalog 😀
