Showoff Reminder: Superheroes 2

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time…calling all Superhero inspired designs!  We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Superheroes 2 Event designs!  So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

Now that Issue 3 has hit, it’s time to showoff your towns.  So send us your Superheroe Event deigns and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Saturday July 23rd…so you’ve got a full week to prep your towns.

Death of Radioactive Man & New Radioactive Man #1 Simpsons

So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm EDT Friday (7/22). Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com.  We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots.  We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images.  Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too).  We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two.  If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week.  You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page.  We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme.  Remember, this isn’t a contest.  There’s nothing to win.  It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts.  🙂

Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff?  Post your images  in the Comments below or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)

Got a notification saying something about a trailer for Milhouse available in the store but I didnt find anything like that in my store? Anyone else?

Wouldn’t it be good to have a fight scene with all the characters in the same place, a task maybe outside the HQ, also the crab factory was able to change direction. Great event

    • The radioactive man statue has one with fruit batman, bartman, pie man, plooper, clownface and the collector

  4. Thanks started my mini “hero town” yesterday & used the botanical garden to complete the design for my Opera House. However I do not know how to do the screen shots any hints?

  5. uh-oh, way to early… During events I tend to plonk everything down wherever I find space. And plan on doing something way better with it later. ok, ok, to be honest, mostly it stays where I first put, I just decorate the heck out of it 🙂

  6. Small screenshot this time. I thought the Orphan Alley was too open to really feel like a back alley and I wanted to show you how I solved that. I think it turned out really good.

  7. I just wanted to say that I checked this site out a couple of days ago and I wanted to say how much I loved it. Their is such a warm and welcoming atmosphere to your website. Thanks for making tapped out even more enjoyable 🙂

  8. a full week to get my object count back down and design, yay! 😉

  9. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s creative ideas. I’m a little behind on my designing, so not sure if I’ll have a submission. I am ready for the Casino showoff and Wild Wild West showoff now though, LOL. My Superhero showoff will probably be ready when the next event (?Olympic event?) showoff is announced.

    • I freed up a space for you the other day, not sure if you noticed or not but thought I’d let you know 😊

      • I did, thank you so much. I love your town; especially the Wild Wild West, Casino, Tap Ball, Space Station, and best of all the Farm area.

        • Thank you Safi!! Sorry for the late reply, sometimes notifications get lost in the mix. The Wild West is just something I threw together, I REALLY hated that event lol. The space area started out pretty simple but it keeps evolving with new little add ons here and there, it’s become one of my favourite areas. Tap ball was probably the first ‘big’ area I made, and I love my casino, farm and don’t forget to check out my zoo! Juuuust left of my Metropolis 🙂

I really like shat you’ve done so far with your Casino and Wild West too! However I don’t envy you having to design your whole town after a nuke lol I could never nuke. Too much time has gone into my town, I couldn’t imagine starting from scratch!

    • Ooooh an Olympic event would be awesome! That’s a great shout right there! I hope EA are thinking the same thing.

  10. What is the best way to stitch up a town? Haven’t actually got my design yet but when it is done I would quite like a stitch-up. Please could someone help?
I read Bunny’s great post but I barely have access to PC – therefore can’t use publisher.
    Thanks in advance

    • I do it in Paint.

      • Me too. I keep hearing people on Android use an App. That must be so convenient. But I’m so used to doing it in paint.

    • Maybe Bimostitch?

I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s been recommended. You forgot to mention if you’re on Android or “other”.

      • I use android so thanks very much! Will try it out and get back to you 😀

        • A few tips if you use bimostitch (which is what I primarily used before I got my iPhone). 1. Turn off all the options in the settings. This helps the image not to warp and blur. 2. The fewer images you stitch together the better it will turn out. I normally would stitch 4 panels together at a time and then would stitch those together. Tedious, but it looked nicer. 3. Avoid stitching images with animation or characters moving around. The auto stitch will try to match all of those thing together and it will end up looking like a large blurry mess. Hope this helps. 😊

    • Stitching 101…
      (Unfortunately) MS Paint.
Load a new paint save, go to properties, and change the dimensions in pixels to 10-20k, depending on your screen to amount wanted size. Doing it in pixels means you can judge how many screenshots across and down, roughly, depending on your device.
I then load another MS Paint window with the first Screenshot, roughly one of the middle ones, Select All, Ctrl C (copy), Alt Tab (alternate windows), then Ctrl V (paste) into around the middle of the new 10-20k x 10-20k blank MS Paint page, and repeat the process to slowly start building your image from there.
Look for corners, road intersects and the like to align your Screenshots, and slowly but surely you’ll manage a complete selection of your chosen area.
But how to efficiently delete unwanted stuff? Using a background / foreground selection of colour choice, selecting the thickest line, and using the trapezoid with fill (white) option I can erase to white any extraneous area unwanted.
      Hope this helps 😉
