It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Safi’s released week 6 of the Addicts Bracket Challenge this week, to find the most desired character for TSTO. What are your thoughts on the challenge? Have you voted yet? Which week 6 match up is your favorite?
How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting? Personally I’ve spent the last 4 days moving (really the last couple of weeks if you count packing)..and let me tell you it stinks!

I did it! I have everything! Dr. Crab and studios. Not sure what to purchase with my crafting materials. Should I continue to hoard? I have everything I really need.
You can wait until the last day if you want…or craft now. I don’t see anything else hitting before Tuesday…of course you never know what EA may do.
I am buying Band-Aids with mine. I only use two-heart players to battle in order to lose as many times as possible. That way I get more donuts in the end.

i guess you can get it more than once huh? and more than one nuke from the space shuttle? i’ve won both already now, and was thinking they were one-off prizes for whatever reason. i guess i should get back to doing both games on a regular again…
Apparently. I’ve seen others report getting multiples. I’ve only gotten one nuke but several topiaries. What I really want are more cane fields. I got two in the first couple days of playing it but none since.
yes you can get more than one. I’ve gotten two nukes and two elder gods so far. Guess I’ve been pretty lucky

Heads up, Gil Deal of Radioactive Man movie set with Rainier Wolfcastle portraying Radioactive Man just hit for 150 donuts.
Oh, and Milhouse’s Trailer, as reported by others, is in the store too for 40 donuts.
As I re-design, I’ve come to realize I need all the land available. Just sold over 99% of my Krustyland tickets for millions of in-game cash. Now down to just the newest last row of land to purchase, of which I only have one ocean piece so far. So the rest will set me back a cool 13.1 million in-game cash (0.9m, 0.6m, 0.4m, 0.3m, 0.2m, 0.2m, 0.2m, 0.3m, 0.4m, 0.5m, 0.6m, 0.7m, 0.8m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, and 2.5m).I usually don’t buy the latest piece and wait for the next new row so that the prices are lowered. But since I’m re-designing, want to do it right. Hopefully I can accumulate and purchase all the pieces before the next event begins.
I’m not sure of the cause, but when I type the keyboard tends to pop down causeing me sometimes accedently clicking other things on the page, and sometimes it is “Post Comment” even before I finish (or worse just as I’m about to start)
The dropping has happened about three times just writing this. Ok, 4, 5, 6 times.
Anyone know what could be causing this?
Not sure since I answer from my computer or phone via the moderating menu. Anyone else?

My rocket launch task awarded me a Nuclear Warhead.
Granted, I have a dozen Topiary, but this is the first warhead.
Now, I just need to research to remind me of the exact multiplier.
I’m still waiting and I launch the damned thing at least once, and usually twice, a day, faithfully!

At least they allow (how kind), us to sell them. If they didn’t, I’d have at leave 400 altogether with the ones I already had in storage 😳

That’s what I got on my last mystery box. I wish they would change the prizes because waiting five days and getting Chalmers car is pretty disappointing. Should get donuts or at least something with a bonus %

Well, I have over 12,000 cards and have crafted all that I want to craft so what to do with the 12,000? I am buying and buying Band-Aids. I only use my two-heart fighters to lose in battle. My last fight with three sets of Felons yielded 27 losses and 3 victories. Cost over forty Band-Aids, but I got over 3,000 cans.
“Pinchy” was a surprise this morning.
New questline just hit.
As expected, EA has stepped in and provided a solution for those of you who are struggling to keep pace with the calendar and who are worried about unlocking Dr. Crab. They haven’t lowered the amount of Crab Juice required to unlock Dr. Crab. However, they have really made an effort to give everyone a great opportunity to unlock all Prize Track rewards. The new epic conclusion questline that was just released ten minutes ago has taken the reward from 100 Crab Juice in the earlier part of the event to 4,000 Crab Juice for part 1 of this new questline. It appears as though we will continue to be awarded a higher payout than the 100 we’re so accustomed to, and will continue at 4,000 for 6 parts. So that’s 24,000 Crab Juice right there.
Another quick tip, the first part is asking to attack Pinchy with 7 villains. If you send just 6 villains for the first four hours, you can then send all your villains the next four hours. Essentially, since each villain is getting Crab Juice for attacking Pinchy, by doing it this way, you’re getting 6 villains worth of extra Crab Juice (though it will double the questline time for a relatively small amount of Crab Juice payout).
So anyone that was struggling to keep up pace with the calendar should rejoice. And those who had already unlocked Dr. Crab and are on bonuts like myself should rejoice cause we’re gonna get a lot more bonuts now!!!
Issue 3 – It’s going to be a bit tight…if at!
How close is everyone to the calendar? I am really struggling on issue 3 and seem to be well off the pace. The other issues I was well ahead by this point, but I am feeling I am slipping behind. Based on the 3 fellon spawns being the only real way to gain points in a day and the fact that I can probably squeeze in 3 or 4 more of them that looks like it’s going to leave me at 52k at the end of today, which is off pace isn’t it? (PS where is the calendar part 3?).
So apart from clearing friends towns, and I can only do 3 fellon battles per day with them can’t I? Plus clearing the bad guys, which is hardly worth it, I can’t see how I can catch up.

Are you using the “lose-to-win” strategy in three battles in your own town? That makes a big difference in event currency income.
(If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just scan through the comments…Safi and I (and others) have posted details about it numerous times. If you really can’t find it, I’ll post the info again for you.)
Is anyone else having occasional glitches during fights? I’ve had this happen three times now. After I defeat all three villains, my fight won’t end. Allowing the computer to calculate the outcome just freezes it, and if I close the app, opening the game takes me right back to the frozen alley scene. My only option to get out of the alley is to retreat, which is frustrating when I literally just won the battle! Anyone else dealing with this? Any tips for overcoming the problem?

anybody have tips where to put my french flag from charcoal briquette? are there even any french characters in our games besides her?
If you put it next to Virgil’s cabin it could be French Canadian. The French Waiter is certainly from France. Maybe put it next to the Rat Trap Delivery truck. I have all my flags lining an obstacle course I made. Maybe put it in front of town hall?
Yeah, I’m not quite sure where toput it either, but have placed it between my Canada flag and Virgil’s Cabin with it’s Canada flag. Figured it would symbolize my French Immersion schooling growing up in Canada.
I had it out, with flowers around it, next to a van, as a tribute to the atrocity in Nice. But, yesterday, I needed the space, so I dismantled my tribute and hid the flag behind a building (because it offers a bonus multiplier, right?).
I have a french flag behind the gilded truffle, an irish flag in front of o’flanagan’s, a japanese flag next to the happy sumo, etc. But because I already had a french flag there, i put the one we crafted near the notre dame of springfield.
Could also go near your tapball stadium (if you were part of that event) to represent a competing country.
I put it next to the wax museum. Most obvious place surely.
If/when they bring the flags back I’ll be sure to pick up a few. Can place them in so many spots around town.
I put the French flag next to the slaughter house along with the painted horse.

The conclusion to the questline starts tomorrow. But do you know what time? Same time as issues 2 and 3 went live? I’m just wondering if I’m awake (I probably will be), should I keep the key characters free…
My guess is same time. That’s be 12am my time but can’t confirm for a little.
I guess we’ll be finding out together in half an hour or so. 🙂
