As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. With the Superheroes Sequel Event ending in a couple of days, I thought now would be a good time to take a look at what everyone did with all that stuff. Since it can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put all this stuff…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? I thought we had until the end of the superheroes event so i could wait to collect everything first then arrange it and post. i was such a fool 🙁
there’s still 1 day left, but i got the One Week Wonder films yesterday and spent all night trying to configure my little movie studio lot to a way i like it. i’m still not happy with it but I don’t know how else to improve it. Anyone with suggestions?

I had to do some creative splicing so that I would have enough Walk Of Fame Stars to cover every available part on the street surrounding the studio lot.

Basically I wanted it to look like once you enter One Week studio films you can drive your mini-cart (or however the celebs travel in movie studios lots) and turn left into Krustylu studios. Once you exit the studio lot you can go to the Channel 6 building or Itchy & Scrathcy or the movie sets.

I saw a lot of people complain that Orphan Alley doesn’t fit with the rest of the town but I disagree. Put Patches & Poor Violet’s orphanage in front of it and it looks a lot more realistic than the rest of Springfield IMO. I always wanted my buildings to have a back area when I place them in a row, otherwise it makes no sense.

Decided to put the mental asylum and Bob’s Victorian house together. i kind of wanted to make this look like Norman Bates house in Psycho, with the Victorian manor being where Norman lived with his mother and the asylum representing the motel, but I realized I would waste too much space trying to create steps and make the house loom taller over the motel, so this was the compromise. i quite like it though.

When I read the WDTCF post about Soilant Red/Soylent Green in the Charlton Heston movie (thanks mods!) I couldn’t RESIST putting the human test tubes and diner next to it. It was just perfect.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions on how to improve my design and make it look less basic is greatly appreciated!

Yes me too!! It’s my #1 favourite episode. I was SO sad that ‘Something hot’ ended up being the fireman update, and then SO HAPPY when the chili update hit!! Obviously I would’ve preferred it to be a major event instead of a mini event but ya, loved it. I made a cookoff/festival area and of course bought the Space Coyote 😍
What? The ‘something hot’ WAS the Chilliad! ‘Something Hot’ was the teaser from the end of the Wild West crafting and the fireman update was before Wild West! So glad that we have such a big similarity!!
You do not know the anger inside of me when a friend (nearly became an ex-friend) told me that they didn’t like the episode due to weirdness and randomness! Space Coyote was am instant buy too and became a favourite PC instantly
I placed one of the Zenith mini buildings (the one with body-threw-the-roof) near the exit point of the Stairway-to-nowhere.
Outside of that everything is pretty much squished anywhere I could squish it. I bought more land in this event than any other before. I almost wish we can have a shrinking ray option or something for some of these buildings.
