Superhero Removal Update is Live!

Update: Some of you are reporting having issues collecting trash from the Dump.  You’re also reporting that Homer cannot collect trash.  Both the Dump and Homer should work.  Check to make sure Homer is free, and you’ve progressed through any Monorail questlines in your task book.  Also, make sure you’re not full at the dump.  It only holds 2,000…so if you’re over that it won’t work.  If you’re still having issues, contact EA.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Time to remove the super from Springfield and return things back to normal…well as normal as things can be in our pocket sized Springfields.  The removal update is live in our App Stores now…all devices

Remember, if you’re not quite ready to remove the update from your game you don’t have to.  You’ll get some extra time before you’re forced to update…just remember, you’re playing on BORROWED time.  Once the force update hits you’ll be locked out of your game, no matter where you are in the prize track (or bonut collection) but you update.

Here’s what will popup when you start up the updated TSTO…

You can now purchase the felons in the store…for donuts (is anyone surprised? lol)

In my main game I was awarded Felon Pack 1 for free…but that’s the only game I completed the entire event (and social prizes) in.

You’ll also get a Soilant Red Factory that’s restored…so no more destroyed factory. (and yes there are different skins for the factory…and yes several of them include Pinchy)

Now…onto something about the Monorail….

If you ALREADY played the Monorail Event and have the Rail Yard you’ll see this….

Sebastian Cobb: Eureka!  I have figured a way to extend the Monorail into the mountain range.
Homer: It’s about time!
Lisa: How did you manage to do it?  I can’t wait to find out what marvelous technology you’ve devised!
Sebastian Cobb: Yes…about that…
Lisa: You’re just going to pile up garbage to make a ramp aren’t you?

You’ll see a new list of tasks setup at the Rail Yard for you to complete…

You’ll notice a new look to your Daily Challenges….

Just complete the Rail Yard as you have been doing..and instead of Donuts you’ll get the Tunnel for SH:

Once awarded the Tunnel will allow you to connect your Monorail from Springfield to Springfield Heights…FINALLY.

Also a couple of Monorail items are back in the store for purchase…like Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant and the Monorail Cafe.  Oh and Uriah’s Heap Recycling Center.

If you haven’t played the event & don’t have the Rail Yard you’ll see this.. (must be Level 20 or higher…)

A Rail of One City Pt. 1

Homer: This town is filthy!  We built all these dumpsters and garbage cans but no way to empty them.
Apu: I used to lure in customers with the smell of hot dogs. But the stench of week-old decaying meat…it just can’t compete with the smell of all this trash.
Cletus: I used to be able to find my house on account of all the trash piled up in front of it.  But now that’s every house.  I got no idea which one is mine.  I’ve been wandering around on the streets for weeks.
Homer: We all have, Cletus.
Lisa: We need to build the town dump.
Homer: Good idea, sweetie.  Is there room right next to Flander’s house?

And basically the Monorail event questline will play itself out for you allowing you get get the Rail Yard and create the Monorail in your Springfield!

Gather Junk Around Springfield- x150. Using the Dump send Characters on 30s tasks to Gather Junk.  Can send: Lisa, Milhouse, Ned, Quimby, Cletus, Willie, Uter, Brandine, Dewey Largo (Premiums earn 75/30s, Freemiums 50/30s)
Make Homer Not Have to Pick Up Trash- 30s, Earns $3, 1xp

Here’s where it changes slightly from last year….

Lisa starts

Place the Dilapidated Rail Yard- FREE
Gather Junk Around Springfield- x500
Trade in Blueprints Until you Unlock the Metal Depot- x20

So here’s the deal…you’ll need to Gather Trash and use that Trash to hand in projects at the Rail Yard.  From the Rail Yard you’ll get Blue Prints.  Those Blueprints will equate to you unlocking the Metal Depot. 

I’m going to break more of this down in another post…since there are many of you this will all be new to, but for a lot of us this is old hat.  Give me a bit and I’ll have a full explanation post up.

And that my friends is the quick rundown of what reappears with the Superheroes Takedown Event!  Take your time with this…it’s not limited-time, so there’s no rush.
