How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of characters in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. From Homer’s college mates to his look-a-likes, from Bart’s crushes to Lisa’s idols, from four-eyed friends to four-legged pets, there is plenty of ‘untapped’ potential (pun intended). But which character do we really want?
We present to you the TSTO Addicts: Most Desired Character Bracket Battle…..

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Voting for this week’s Semi-Final match-ups and the following Final match-up were scheduled to run for thirteen days, with the next two posts a fortnight apart. However, both will now run like the previous 8 posts. Voting will continue to be open for just under 6 days, with the Final match-up announce next Friday (August 12th) and the winner announced the following Friday (August 19th) and been cut in half to the normal one week.
Now without further ado, a recap of the results of our four Quarter-Final match-ups:

QF2 – Nerds (71.96%) def. Pinchy (28.04%)
QF3 – Leon Kompowsky (52.14%) def. Mr. Sparkle (47.86%)
QF4 – Sarah Wiggum (60.70%) def. Allison Taylor (39.30%)

This week, we will narrow down the field from 4 (the Final Four) to the final 2 (the Championship Finalists). Here are our two Semi-Final match-ups:

What are your thoughts on the Final Four? Who did you vote for in the two Semi-Final match-ups? Of the two match-ups above, which was the easiest decision and which was the hardest? If you had to predict how others will vote, do you think the finals will be Bleeding Gums vs. Leon K, Bleeding Gums vs. Sarah Wiggum, the Nerds vs. Leon K, or the Nerds vs. Sarah Wiggum? I think that Leon should be a character built with the Calmwood Mental Hospital, which is already a building in the game that isn’t premium, but isn’t with the main questline.
I chose the non guest voiced characters so Sarah and the Nerds because Ralph needs his mother and Clancy needs his wife. I am not sure what visual tasks she could have but I hope they are good and suit her. The Nerds are needed at various geeky locations like Honest Johns, Java Server, Springfield Knowledgeum or Crypto Barn one of their tasks could be attend bi mon sci fi con at the Convention Center. Personally I would love the nerds to be seperate characters each with their own list of tasks than like duo characters such as the orphans, Gabbo & Arthur and Sherri and Terri. Oh and the nerds have to come with the Springfield U campus and have tasks there. I was rooting for Mr Sparkle and Pinchy but now that they lost I picked Sarah and the Nerds over Leon K and B G Murphy.
Bleeding Gums Murphy was one of the first characters in the simpsons I remember being introduced to. I’m really surprised it’s taken so long for him to show up in the game. But they’ll get him, eventually, I believe. Of course that’s who I voted for.
Then the question lies, when he is reintroduced into our games, will he be human form or apparition like Maude? (or both)
Bleeding Gums Murphy? In the worst episode ever (any episode with Lisa singing is awful mind).
‘Round Spingfield has really grown on me over the years, and I’ve come to appreciate just how good it is.
I love her singing. That made his dying episode better than it was going to be. So, maybe I sorta agree since I don’t think the episode is so great otherwise.
BGM all the way for me. I love sax in pop music….. 🙂

I’m not sure if you’ve already planned to do this but, if it’s not too late, would it be possible to not only vote for 1st and 2nd (the winners of this week) but also for 3rd and 4th place (the losers of this week)?
That way we could see who the top four characters are in order of popularity…?

Haven’t voted yet, but I’m just really happy to see Wendell knocked out (or I would be, if this bracket was being run by EA to really decide what was coming into the game). I was really dreading having to dodge animations of him puking in my neighbours’ towns!
I’m going to struggle most with the choice between BGM and the nerds. I have a soft spot for BGM, and it would make Lisa very happy to have him, but I think the nerds have more in-game potential (a campus event would be great… Springfield needs a college!).
I hate Bleeding Gums Murphy and Leon both, so I’d like to see one of the others win. Realistically, I imagine it will be BGM that will win.

In a blasphemous statement, I confess I do not watch the show.
I do base my vote on the character presented and the potential that I foresee for that character – unique, but not overly odd.

Nothing wrong with it per se, but the instinct to follow the crowd is very strong indeed, so it’s not a bad idea to pause, reflect, and try to make sure that you’re doing the right thing because you think it’s the right thing, and not because you just want to fit in.
Of course, it’s true going in the opposite direction, too.

Nice! Whenever I hear that song I always think of Gob from Arrested Development.
At my last military assignment, we used to play this every Friday afternoon right before the end of duty hours to mark the weekend so I have fond memories with good people associated with it.
Not quite as important as a military assignment 😕
But when I worked in a nursery/daycare we used to play ‘Ballroom Blitz’ for tidy up time which gave all of us a boost to get to the end of the day! So that song always reminds me of some good times and good people.

Everyone’s life is important and thanks for sharing. Blitz makes me think of a cover band my Mom really liked. Unfortunately now it just makes people think of a DC Movie that may or may not be good… I’ll know tomorrow.
