Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s time to gear up for the summer games in Springfield! Gather up those participation ribbons and be prepared for the fix to be in from Fat Tony, as we journey through the wonderful world of “sports” with the residents of our pocket-sized Springfields!
This event, like others before it, is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For parts 1 through 6 of the Springfield Games questline you’ll have to earn 
via various characters tasks in order to unlock the prize for each part. Some prizes are game related decorations, while others are animations or tasks for a building.
So let’s take a look at this first few rounds of prizes..and just what happens when you unlock them in your Springfield…
You may notice the Go-Kart track and the 5th and final prize (
) is not included in this post. I’ll be doing a FULL breakdown of the track and betting in another post. 🙂
So we’ve broken down just HOW to unlock the first 4 prizes in our Turbo Tappin’ Walkthrough post, but for those who don’t remember (or don’t really want to go back and read ;)) here are the quick details:
Springfield Games Pt. 1
Make Homer Intimidate Springfielders- 3hrs, Earns 1 , 35xp
Collect Participation Ribbons- x8. 3hrs, Earns 1 Freemium and 2 Premium.

So now that you know the how of each prize…as in how you get it…let’s break down what each is and what it’ll do once placed in your Springfield. Here’s a look at the quick facts for each:
Item: Springfield Games Cauldron…unlit version
Size: 6×6
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Vanity +100
Earns: Nada. Just a big rubber like decoration for your Springfield…at least it something useful for all those tires in town!
What Does it Do: In it’s original form…as the first prize of the event…not a thing. It’ll sit there and look pretty…in a rubber sort of way 😉
Item: Springfield Games Podium
Size: 5×7
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Vanity +100
Earns: Nada. Just a decoration for your Springfield…
What Does it Do: Nada…it’ll just sit there and look pretty. I do like the design of it though. More tires…and who doesn’t love a good Wild West Barrel? (Of course they’re gonna need a MUCH bigger one if everyone’s getting participation ribbons;) ) ALTHOUGH (thanks for the reminder Guitar Bob) Homer and Fatov have a joint task here to dance. So you’ll need it out to do that task.
Item: Pin Stand
Size: 3×3
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Vanity +100
Earns: Nada as itself. But with it (and it’s questline) comes Pin Collector Lisa and Fatov (more on them here)..which in turn earn currency for tasks. (Lias freemium and Fatov Premium rates)
What Does it Do: It’s the gateway…or maybe pin-way? (that sounds like we’re bowling…)…to unlocking Pin Collector Lisa and Fatov. (Again more on them here). As it sits, it’s just a decoration. But storing it will result in losing Pin Collector Lisa and Fatov in Springfield. Oh and Pin Collector Lisa has tasks there…
Prize: Fire animation for Cauldron
Size: 6×6, cause it’s still the Cauldron (first prize)
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Vanity +100 (cause it’s still the Cauldron…)
Earns: Nada. Just a pretty decoration for Springfield…ooo pretty fire….
What Does it Do: It’s fire at the Cauldron. Once you have Homer light it, via the questline above, and unlock it it’ll stay lit in Springfield…UNLESS you tap it. Tap it once to put the fire out and return the Cauldron to it’s original state. Tap it again to light it back up and set Springfield a glow with tire smoke….
What what do you do with all of this stuff? Well, for some of you it’ll end up in storage (hopefully with the exception of the Pin Stand…since that controls Fatov who’s a FREE Premium character..)..but for those looking for something to do with it, may I suggest doing an Olympic Village in Springfield? Some of you have already been doing this and it looks AWESOME. Here are some shots from y’all (hopefully this will spark some design ideas for others..):

What happened, I finished all the ribbon tasks (56 for the last one ) and no last prize? Last thing I got was the track, then when I finished the next set for the final mystery prize, it said I was done and it had to reload….which it did…..I received nothing??? Please help!
No mystery prize… just the ability to bet on the Go-Kart races. The reload was normal.
But it did initially say …building??.
Same thing here. It does say building I checked my daughters game just to make sure. Disappointed but waiting anxiously for the next event!
Same.. there was supposed to be a building… but all it did for me was reset.
I know, right?

I stored my pin stand a couple days ago when I finished the Sprinfield Games and my Fatov and Pin Collecter Lisa where not stored.
The Flags are a GREAT DEAL! I suggest everyone take advantage of it. Side note: Does anyone know what the Update was on TSTO today? 🙂 Thank, guys!
Patch. The locker characters now earn premium (which means if you have Tennis Marge, Ballet Ralph or Kung Fu CBG you’ll now get premium rates for them..)
That’s great because a) I love using Kung Fu CBC and b) now Ralph won’t have to eat yellow snow, anymore! 🙂
Poor Ralph. No wonder he eats glue…too much yellow snow messes with the brain 😉
I just wanted to confirm the % on the Country Flag Bundle because it doesn’t list any % earned for the bundle when you go to buy it.

Light distraction, not much else. Until more land is released, no way to design it.
Don’t forget that August 16th is the upgrade deadline. One would think that this new capability would allow for more land and a higher decoration limit.
Fingers crossed. I was wondering if that’s why so many outdoor tasks were becoming stationary which really bugs me. Especially Bouncing Battle Baby’s task to bounce around town and then bounces in one spot for 24 hours.
Those designs are great! Is it terrible of me that I just left all of the Olympics podium and cauldron next to the tire yard? I couldn’t get over the fact that those two items had tires and looked a little more….uh… run down I guess. lol I left them next to all the items that are continuously burning and smoking :).
I have to say this little break is really nice. I’ve already finished the Springfield Rail Yard and Olympics Event. I even re-designed my Monorail tracks and prepped for the next tunnel thats coming up. Although as nice as this lull is I can’t wait for the next event! 🙂

Worst. Olympics. Event. Ever. This game better survive another 4 years so they can redeem themselves.
1) you realise this is a mini event, right? Never anything extravagant about them
2) they’ve never done one before, so it’s also the best one, at the same time
I gave them about 6 months notice that they should plan and time events accordingly. TSTO is global. Olympics are global. Simpson’s has a solid Olympics history also. Massive wasted opportunity. Huge letdown. Much disappointment. #4MoreYears
Or two if they do something for the Winter Games.
Hope they don’t go the Red Sox route, and go 85 years before redeeming themselves.
Almost forgot about that. Sox have been doing so much winning ever since I’m sure you can understand how that can happen.

86 years. And it was a hell of a redemption — I have very fond memories of the ALCS against the Yankees.
85 seasons. My dad actually died the night of the game 3 ALCS rainout. Buried him the day of game 7. Crazy time in my life.
