Woo-Hoo It’s Our 3 Year Blogiversary!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Today marks the official 3 year anniversary of when TSTO Addicts was officially launched!  We’re completely blown away by the AMAZING community of readers we have here at TSTO Addicts.  We absolutely love what we do and really appreciate all of YOU!

Of course we’re no strangers to celebrating an anniversary around here!  We celebrated our 1 month anniversary way back when, our 6th month anniversary, our 1 year anniversary, and our 2 year anniversary last year.  We’re always celebrating little milestones with each other and we LOVE to share the bigger ones with you guys!   After all YOU guys are the heart and soul of this community….and we wouldn’t have it any other way!  (plus who doesn’t like a good party?!)  So pop the champagne, break out the noise makers and let’s get to celebrating already!

Bunny, Wookiee and I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to our wonderful readers and share our thoughts on Addicts turning 3! 

It’s seriously hard to believe we’re celebrating three years today.  It really seems like just yesterday this “little blog that could” started as a crazy idea between my childhood friend and I.  With no real thoughts that we’d be anything more than a tiny little blog about a silly little game, the past three years have completely blown me away!  I’ve said this many times before but when we set out to create the site we wanted to be different.  We wanted to do things no one else was doing.  We wanted something with more personality.  We wanted to laugh.

Now here we stand 3 years later and I think we’re continuing to achieved our goals daily!

And no…I REALLY didn’t think we’d still be doing this three years later.

So much has changed since the blog first started.  I got married, had an amazing little girl, purchased our dream house and made some amazing life-long friends!

But honestly, no matter what we do this site would not be what it is today  with out you amazing readers!  You guys make this place fun, we just supply the music and margaritas!  We love each and every one of you for being here and being part of this AMAZING Community! 🙂  

We’ve had a blast over the past three years getting to know many of you (our regulars) and seeing new “faces” popup in the comments.  And when we get to see you and hang out at the meet and greets (or at baseball games ;)) it’s always a great time!  You guys seriously make this place what it is…and have kept us going for the last three years. (Yes even with all the redundant questions in the comments 😉 )  

The community is the heart and soul of this place…and we wouldn’t have it any other way!  So thank YOU, yes YOU for being a part of this community!  Even if you’re just a “lurker”, you still take the time to read what we say day in and day out…and for that we are truly grateful from the bottom of our TSTO filled hearts! 🙂

Of course we’re the “baby” of the TSTO Community.  There are several other TSTO blogs out there and we consider them good friends! So we’d like to say a big thank you to: 

Everyone over at TSTOTopix.me (new and old).  In particular to Mike S and Em.  Two of our good friends from way back in the Tapped-Out.co.uk days.

And I’d like to give a shoutout to Feelingblind from TSTO Game.  Even though he’s shutdown TSTO Game, we’re still grateful for his friendship and support! 🙂

And of course everyone over at Tapped-Out.co.uk, where it all started!  Addicts would not exist with out the awesome site that Tim created over at TOuk.

And, a new addition to my thank yous this year, I want to give a special thanks to Pat, aka Cranky Old Guy.  Thanks for working to bury the hatchet over the last year and for the friendship and support.  Looking forward to working together!

Of course I’m just 1/3 of this site…and it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun if I didn’t get to write and work everyday with 2 of my best friends!  Bunny and Wookiee, I love you both like you’re family and I know our friendship will continue way beyond TSTO and into those days when you’re both living in retirement homes.  Don’t worry, I’ll still come visit!  😉

Of course now Bunny and Wookiee want to have their say too!

First up, a word from Wookiee:

Truly, the thing that has kept me going for all this time is the amazing community and a love of the game and the people who play it. It’s crazy that TSTO has been chugging along for four years and shows no signs of stopping. I started playing because I love The Simpsons but if someone had told me I’d still be diligently tapping after all this time AND writing about the game, I’d have laughed in their face. I’m sure EA will keep this awesomeness going as long as it’s profitable. They should be thanking all of us for supporting their families lol.

I started blogging here shortly before getting out of the military and this site helped keep me sane and gave me something to do while I was figuring out life, the universe, and everything. I sincerely hope that this community is just as valuable for all of you. There is a multitude of gathering places all over the interwebs but (although I’m prejudiced) I like to think this is one of the best. It definitely would not be anything without all of you. I guess it’d just be me shouting into a canyon which could be fun but it’s nice when the echoes are other people shouting back.

It’s been a wild ride and I still can’t believe everything that has happened since I naively took this gig. An engagement, another kiddo in my life, one degree down towards the next, and of course, two sisters from different misters that will be my family with ot without Addicts. Special thanks to Alissa the Amazing and Bunny for all the hilarity, friendship, and for putting up with me. Thank YOU for reading our mad antics. Thank YOU for being a part of this strange 12 step program. As long as wonderful people keep coming here, we’ll be supplying the free funny and game info. Here’s to the next year!

WHOA??!! We are 3 now??!! Sheesh how times flies.Let’s see if we were lil kids we would be no longer at that Terrible Two’s stage and slowly getting to the Throw Tantrums Threes, right? WOOHOO!!! Imagine poor Alissa not only having to deal with Baby Riley, but a GIANT fuzzball and a Furry Bunny running around causing chaos. She wouldn’t mind, right? Oh wait… isn’t that what she has to do anyway? Lol.

So that’s it from the Addicts crew on this special day!

Of course we have our problems, no one is perfect. Like I say to my 3 year old nephew, it’s not easy being 3.  But, I made you guys a promise WAYYYYYY back in September of 2013: “My promise to you, our amazing readers, is to ALWAYS provide you with the best content in a fun way.”  And now here we stand just about 3 years later, continuing to keep that promise and renewing support to keep going strong!

So here’s to a great year and many more to come!
