It looks like it’s gotten a bit futuristic and a bit sciencey in our silly lil games. Time to pull out the MST3K? Time to get out the Frinkahedron? Time to…

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 8/16/16, DAY 2 OF Act 1
As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Act. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.
Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately 1847
Dark Matter a day.
Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” and feel like you are behind, but as you progress through the Questlines and Event you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. Just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.

At this point, I’m just trying to get Sgt. Skinner to cost less than 50 donuts. I didn’t get the Holo Theatre until this morning.
Same boat as you. App Store update didn’t hit for me until a day late and at first I was a bit lazy. I was playing more often than all other events and I’ve always gotten bonuts once or twice.
This event however seems broken. You can basically only do stuff every 4 hours and you have to log on 4/5 times a day. That wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t for that damn 4 hours because that makes it next to impossible if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi and your device all day.
I’m very disappointed with the event so far as Sgt. Skinner is the only price I cared about.
miles behind only on 17.7k at end of the 27th when I should be on 20k. 3 days to get 6 k. let’s hope a couple of daily challenges come my way with matter as a reward
I’ve gone from behind significantly on Sunday to being back ahead, and I’m an hour behind my normal schedule so I’m going to miss a log in, not staying up late tonight.
I’m actually about 0.5 Days Ahead so far. With this event I’ve noticed you seem to really need to start on Day 1 to get the full potential and over the time I’ve noticed the longer I’ve been playing the event the easier its getting and the more I’ getting.
I’m in th UK, for some reason my game didn’t update so I missed the first couple of days. I’m really behind. I bought Grimes yesterday but still don’t think I’m going to make it. I play regularly and usually reach the bonut round. I remember EA made an adjustment on the limits for the last update as regular players were finding it tough going… any chance this time?

I’m a little bit ahead of schedule, which is strange, because I’m usually struggling to catch up.
Difficult event so far.
I’m 2, 2.5 days behind and can’t seem to catch up.
Try to enter my game every 4h, which gives me 4 playtimes a day but it isn’t enough.
Normally tsto events are very doable and I finish every act with room to spare. But it looks like this one is a bit harder.
How many robots are you tapping in the mini game? At least 30 each time?
44 Most of the time. 52 If I use a flash in the last second.
I have found this event to be totally brutal. I play around 5-6 times per day and just can’t seem to keep up. I’m at 13.4k at around 4 in the afternoon, with the calendar saying I’m supposed to be at 16.6 by the end of the day. And I’m done with all the questlines already.
Feels like they really put the screws to us with this event.
I’m the same way. I’ve been about 1 day behind the whole time and haven’t been able to catch up. I’ve never had this problem with an event before.
I’m 2.5 days behind. have been behind for the whole event and the gap just keeps getting bigger. wasn’t helped today by wifi going down
I can only hope Sgt. Skinner can be crafted for a few future bucks.
Event didn’t hit until thursday for me too. I’m not almost at 14.5K and up till now I was able to play 4 times a day. 🙁

OMG, thanks to Yvonne for the detailed explanation of the camera flash operation. I never noticed the camera icon in the upper right corner and could not figure out what the deal was, and why nothing was happening after I tapped the camera button on the left.
What a difference!
If a neighbor visits your town, how do you know? I used to get a notice that said so, but this time, nothing! Unless none of my neighbors are reciprocating and visiting me.
Also, if you play consistently and tap robots, will there be any for your neighbor to tap?
With this one you don’t.
And yes..there will be robots for your neighbor to tap…even if you clear out your whole town.
I’ve reached every reward from every event for the past 12 months, but this event is proving very tricky. I haven’t reached the hover car yet. The dark matter is coming so slowly, I don’t think I’m going to hit all the rewards from Act 1.
I don’t know if I’m missing something but by sending the alternate Homers on their tasks and doing the PolyVac minigame every 4 hours it is still impossible to gather the 1847 Matter/day and catching up seem impossible.
How many Robots do you get in the SciFighter game every 4hrs? You should try to get at least 30.
I get at least 35+ but it’s hard to fit in more than 2-3 games every day. With previous events it was fine if you could logged in twice in 2 hours then left it for a few. This event seems to penalise me if I can’t log in every 4 hours.
I’m about to cry now, I’m almost a day behind and I’ve done everything possible to get dark matter, I do not have premium buildings though, seems I’m not the only one struggling about it, what are we missing? I’ve been asking this in many posts hopping to find a revolutionary answer haha
Ok so the only way I’m starting to catch up is to go in the game every 4 hours, even through the night. So I hit everything six times.
I get 70 robots in my town so x 6 times a day- 420
I get around 40 robots in the scifighter which consistantly gives me 149 dark matter so x 6- 894
Homers are 33 for each so 165 total x 6-
990
Daily friend actions are 2 for every 84 –
168
So, 420+894+990+168=2472 dark matter. But, again, I’m now waking up in the middle of the night to hit that. Plus I need the extra over Bunny’s 1847 because I got behind and need it to catch up. Hope this helps.
It does help a lot, thank you, I barely sleep 3 hours yesterday and was able to keep on track but I have a minimum error gap, I might get Sgt Skinner right at the edge of act 1

Thanks to a daily mission and last night’s insomnia, I’m caught up! I feel like this event has been harder than previous events to stay on target. Most of my daily events have been for robot parts, so when I saw one for 1100 dark matter I was pumped!
how many neighbors is ideal for this event to collect the max parts & dark matter per day? i know we get 2 each for the first 84(?) actions, but do we also get 1 each for any thereafter? i’m only at 9,500 right now and don’t want to purchase the “license”. thanks.
Nope. 30 neighbors is the right spot.
do you have a breakdown on how you came up with 1847 a day? i think im missing some actions to increase my daily dark matter. thank you, alissa and karlz for the tips. i hadn’t thought of farming for cubes .. :))
I am also struggling like crazy on this one, 19 hours work over 2 days, using kindle, no WiFi at work, I’m not very hopeful, but to maximise my chances of getting a cube, I go to everyone of my friends towns, click on 1 robot, if no cube is there, then move on. Those whose towns make it kinda hard, or if I just can’t find a robot, I skip off to the next town. I get 4/5 cubes normally, granted, not a mega amount extra, but could just be what makes the difference. Oh and if I get through all friends, and still have countable clicks left, I go in reverse, don’t ask why, it’s how my mind works….. Course if I got round to checking the players not doing the mission to see if they are actually still active, I’d have nearly 2dozen spares after going through everyone :p
In one of my neighbors towns I saw Bart in a robot holding a machine gun. How do you get that

Term, I am not a hacker, well unless I’ve a real bad cough, but a friend of mine asked about this, she saw it in my town, she also saw in someone else’s. I didn’t have a Scooby what she meant, so please don’t automatically think it is a dodgy player, sometimes it’s a higher being than a Springfields own sky finger.

Click on the PolyVac and hit the start button. After it starts, look up in the right hand corner. This is the camera you need to use for this task.
I’m so glad this post was made! I’ve been checking out my friends towns and they are so ahead of me but after looking at the schedule I am on check as I go the “Future Duff Sign” today. Normally I go on every 4 hours start up some quests and use that PolyVac game and its working so far. But I am very glad that one of my “Daily Challenges” was tap 5 robots for 1100 Dark Matter. That has really assisted me.
I guess I’m behind, too.
At this rate I will only get five bonut rounds.
Really not happy with this event for the first time I’m behind by two days, rewards are slow on paying out tasks seem to be slow on starting, I’m in the uk playing on a kindle loved the last few events but this seems to be a up hill struggle to get all the prizes in time and not gone be happy to use doughnuts to get everything. ANY ONE else feeling like this ????
How can you be behind by 2 days already? I’ve only been doing it a day and a half – those being days I’ve been at work – and I’m ahead. OK, I’ve got Grimes to help me, but I’ve barely played. Are you playing the zapping robots game?

Im a day behind on this event. I started yesterday at 3. Hopefully i can catch up!
If you’re lucky you can have a daily challenge that awards 1100 matter which would mean you would have to work for the other 700 to stay on track.
Not sure if you mentioned it somewhere else – but when I start the fight with the robots, the first thing the generator does is wipe out all the robots in the Springfield (giving me 80 parts + 80 dark matter + future bucks – that is when I don’t crush robots with tapping, if I do, I get less, from the remaining robots on the map).
Can someone give me a breakdown, or point me to where it’s listed, of what/who can earn the event currency? I have had a few characters be able to do something, but I don’t know if that was task specific. I want to make sure I am maximising my income.
It appears at the moment it’s the quest line, friends and tapping robots, anything else?
