Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The nerds have invaded Springfield! Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad. And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields!
One fun new element to this event is the introduction of the SciFighter Mini Game. In it’s simplest form it’s Insanity Mode from Homer’s Chiliad…but WAYYYY easier. (and you get to make Robots blow up…that’s always fun lol)
So let’s break down this SciFighter Mini Game…including how to play, what happens if you lose and how to use those Flashes (Cameras)…
So because somethings are just better when visually explained…I went ahead and did a video explanation for the SciFighter Mini Game for y’all to watch. In it you’ll see what happens when you win the game, what happens when you lose…and when happens when I try to do math. (Spoiler..it’s not pretty) So enjoy!

For those at work, or those who just can’t watch the video, here’s a quick breakdown:
-PolyVac Resets for the mini game every 4hrs
-You’ll unlock Flash bulbs (Cameras) when you start Photo Sensitive Deficiency task. (starts prior to your second battle). You get 5 for free, after that 1/day for free from the power plant
-Object is to clear as many robots in 20 seconds as you can, while defending your PolyVac. Up to 5 Robots can hit your PolyVac before it’s destroyed. (5th on destroys it) Only destroyed for 4hrs, then it resets.
-Better to win the game, than lose. You’ll earn more
-And I suck at math lol

How do I beat mecha hawk I tapped him and robots win and it doesn’t work
You have to tap him 10 times to clear him from that round…tapping him once won’t make him disappear
I have a mission saying to spend future bucks, I have a lot of them but I’m not sure how to use them? Can someone help me on this? Thanks

Math for scifighter- you get a flat 50 matter per attempt, plus 3 per second you survive and 1 per robot tapped. For robot parts and future bucks, you get a flat 20 plus 1 per second survived and 1 per robot tapped

Another question……. What does it mean when it says “tap the anomaly”? I tapped the robots, but not sure what anomaly they are referring to. Thanks. (PS. Daily reward)
I found the “anomaly” to be a floating cube in neighbor towns. Scan the area and you’ll see a dark blue cue, similar to dark matter, floating across streets. When tapped it provided extra robot parts, dark matter, and future money.
Since you mention the chilliad game in your video: did they make changes for that? I used to get consistently about 60 tortoises in the allotted time. After the SciFi event started, I am getting 90. Did they up the spawn rate? Or is the time longer? Did anyone else notice, or is it just me? Have I gotten faster??? So many questions…
Think they increased the spawn rate. I previously scored typically 75-85 but now around 110-120.
As an experiment, one time I just tapped 1 tortoise scoring $510 and winning a prize, so I assume the payout is $(500+10T) and the prizes are random!
Just won $2000 for tapping 152 tortoises so maybe that’s the maximum payout!
I get 20-30 tortoises a time. What am I doing wrong? I get all the robots every time…
How do you get so many? I never even see more than 1 or 2 on each road. Is it better to have the game on a clear green area? RachelS
Hi guys, I’ve just got a daily challenge that says tap the anomaly. When I tap go to it button it’s takes me to my neighbours page? Does anyone know what this anomaly is and where I tap it. Thanks

I’m still puzzled about how to use the future bucks. I have a little over 700+ and it says to craft with them, only….how? PS ty for the flash news.

It’s a cool addition to,the quest a wee bit different from other events and a cool droid feel to the game . I’ve hit 36 max so far…

PSA: Tap ALL your robots in your Springfield BEFORE you do the Sci-Fighter Battle. You seem to get more robots. (after the Sci-fighter Battle, the town is empty) 🙂
Thank you! FINALLY an answer to this question that has bothered me ever since the SciFighter mini battles started. I’ve looked everywhere for an answer and just needed to know if I’m wasting my time spending about 20mins each time before a battle by tapping all the loose robots before launching the mini game. Good to see that time hasn’t been wasted 🙂
Sorry to say, but it has….jnaples is incorrect. When you start the game, it automatically clears all existing robots for you and gives you credit for them. Try it…you’ll see that, just before the countdown, there’s a flash, and then you’ll see the words “x-number robot parts” (where “x-number” is however many robots you have hanging around) float up, along with their cash and XP value.
If it makes you feel any better, I wasted a lot of time in this, too, before I saw various folks here (including Patric) explain that.

I cannot get the camera at all. I’ve collected from the plant, but no cameras, I’ve done the quest lines, no camera, I’ve compared to my husbands game and I’m ahead of him, he has the cameras, not me. What am I doing wrong?
I would love some more info on the cameras too….
I got the camera in the quest line, it was something to do with Mr. Burns and his old camera flash killing the robots. (I never really read the dialogue so I’m not sure, lol) I also bought the “Burns Soul Extraction Institution”. Maybe that has something to do with the cameras.

The best way to explain it is to tell you to watch the video. know that sounds annoying, but the video is going to give you visual aids and far more info than i could detail in the comments.

My daily challenge is to play scifighter. After four attempts I can’t get the task to complete. I really don’t want to skip the task and get another one because it’s paying out donuts. Any ideas on how to complete this challenge?
Does it say to play without getting hit?
No, it just says play sci fighter.
Sometimes you have to play several times before the task completes, but it should say that in the task. If you have to play it once, it says 0/1, if you have to play more often, it says something like 0/5, and the “0” counts your progress. After 4 attempts, it should read 4/5.
My daily task is to do it 3x
Anyone got higher than 52 robots destroyed in the mini game? That is the highest I have gotten so far!
