Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Character and the Winner Is…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers! After 11 weeks of voting it’s time to crown our Bracket Battle Champion!  Remember this is just for fun…no way is this an indication that EA will add the winner to our games.  Really just a fun way to see what you all thought.
Before we get to Safi, let me say a big thank you to all of YOU for participating week after week in the battles!  You all made your voice matter and that’s awesome!  So thank you for participating.  And finally I’d like to big a HUGE (YUUUUUGGGGEEE) thanks to Safi for all his hard work with this!  Safi, you did an awesome job with the challenge..thank you for you dedication and hard work, and for making this fun for everyone!  And now let’s get to the winner…
Once again….here’s Safi:

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of characters in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. From Homer’s college mates to his look-a-likes, from Bart’s crushes to Lisa’s idols, from four-eyed friends to four-legged pets, there is plenty of ‘untapped’ potential (pun intended). But which character do we really want?

We present to you the TSTO Addicts: Most Desired Character Bracket Battle…..

After 10 weeks of voting, we finally have a winner. And the winner is…

OneHit06 SgtSeymourSkinner (Mobile)

Well, he’s not the winner of the title “Most Desired Character”. But after losing in the first Round to Jacques with just 44.67% of the vote, Sgt. Skinner does become the first character from the Bracket Battle introduced into our games as an actual character (sorry, Pinchy fans, his brief appearance doesn’t count).

Now before I get to the announcement, I just want to take a minute to thank A/B/W for running these posts over the summer. Especially to Alissa for all her hard work in transferring and setting up the posts, sending me results each week, answering all my emails, etc.

Now without further ado, a special video announcement with the winner revealed:

Here’s the final completed bracket:

What are your thoughts on the winner? How early on did you predict this? Special shout out to ‘Alwaysbesurfing’ for being the first to comment “Calling Bleeding Gums to win the whole show” on June 10th, just three hours after the Bracket Battle first went live.

Thank you to everyone who voted and commented each week. I’m overwhelmed by the over 225,000 votes cast and countless comments (well technically they are pre-counted, but I’m too lazy to add them up). As mentioned, this was one of four Brackets I had started working on a couple years ago. Let A/B/W know in the comments if you’d like to see me back in the future with another of my Bracket Battles.

What were your overall thoughts of the Bracket Battle? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you.

  1. Great work with putting the bracket challenge together. I voted for Sarah but I sorta knew that B G M would beat her to be the winner. I would also like to see B G M in the game for the sake of Lisa and he would be another character who would love jazz. Oh and put me in the vote for more bracket challenges. 😀 🎶

  2. i knew he would win from the first time i voted in the bracket battle. he has always had my vote. gotta love the jazzman !

  3. Why wasnt troy mclure an entry?

    • The first post explains it. He’ll never be added as a character. All phil Hartman characters are retired

      • That is so bogus. I hate that so much. Put them I just don’t voice them! Ms krabbapple is in the game!!

        • True, but Marcia Wallace died in her 90s of natural causes, she wasn’t senselessly murdered in her prime by someone she loved. The circumstances are what seem to bother people the most.

I would like to add to this that some Hartman characters still appear in the graphic novels, as well as in toy form, and I think McClure and others should absolutely be added to the game in the same sort of way. Also, even though Hartman’s death was horrific and tragic, I think he really enjoyed what he did and was proud of what he did and that should be celebrated. The most disappointing thing about the monorail event was losing Lyle Lanley, who I would have accepted as an NPC if I could have just kept him in my town.

        • Mrs. Krabapple was in the game before Marcia Wallace died and Phil Hartman’s death was a horrific murder-suicide thing. Not the same situation at all.

  4. Interesting results & comments throughout this bracket battle. Missed a couple votes while on the road (including the final one), but enjoyed following along. More bracket battles? Yes, please.

  5. This is rigged!

    I demand a recount!

  6. Wait, are you saying that Portuguese Fausto did not even make onto the bracket? Insanity!

  7. I still think LEAST desirable character bracket should be next…

  8. I like Bleeding Gums Murphy. If there’s one thing I learned from this bracket battle, it’s that there’s plenty more ideas for future events and characters for EA to surprise us with! Thanks for putting them together, I enjoyed it 🙂

  9. Why is bleeding gum in the sky? Has he gone to heavens?

  10. Well played, BG

  11. Meh. Don’t want him.

  12. The outcome was pretty predictable from the very start. Anyway, I disagree with your statement that Pinchy doesn’t count – he’s a permanent addition to my game with the Soilant Red factory.

    • Not to speak on Safi’s behalf, but I think, perhaps, while that giant Clobster was a clone of sorts, an actual sized Pinchy as a NPC/taskable character to interact with Homer is still a possibility for our game and if EA wants us (players) to spend money or donuts on it, they can introduce it into the game later as such.

  13. I actually love to have Jack Deforest in my Springfield if that’s possible.

  14. Glad he won. Was surprised Sarah got as far as she did tbh.

Safi have you passed the results onto EA?

  15. Called it from the start but it was still fun to see how it played out.

  16. Brilliant idea and excellent execution!

    More! More! More!

  17. Meh, my Springfield needs more women.
