The nerds have invaded Springfield! Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad. And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields! So time to crack open those hologram wallets, because there’s a store full of multiverse theme premium items to spend our donuts on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Giant Robot to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this giant terror to your Springfield…
Building/Decoration: Giant Robot
Donut Price: 75 Donuts
Bonus%: Earns 3% bonus on all cash and XP
Size: 4×9, TALL! (about the same height as the Skyberdine Systems building)
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Leaves stores August 23rd
Pros:
-Earns an ok bonus % for donuts spent…not great but ok
-Animated when tapped it barks and knees bend and has some movement.
Cons:
-Just a decoration, no questline (dialogue but no actual task)
-Bonus % is ok…BUT you’re far better off getting 2 Jet Engine Bikes if you’re looking for a good bonus %
-Absolutely no benefit for the event. Doesn’t help generate more robots, or clear other robots. Just an animated decoration (when tapped)…
Final Thought:
Premium/Freemium:
This one is underwhelming in my opinion, and should be a complete pass. (unless of course you’re Ryan or Wookiee…lol) So, unless you really like how it looks, or have a giant robot obsession…pass on this one. Save your donuts for better stuff later in this event.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you I’ll be passing on this one (just not worth it to me). Of course whatever you decide just remember this is limited time and will be leaving our games very soon. So if you’re thinking about grabbing it, do it very soon before it’s gone for good!

Dude, I love my robot! It is a main feature of my town for now early in the game
Now that the item is permanent, I might just pick it up when I feel I really really need it. Not too interesting in my eyes, but I mean, it has some potential.
I brought this up on another post and never got a response; the timer in the store for the giant robot is gone. I thought that it originally had a timer counting down when it was set to leave the store, but now there is nothing that mentions that is available for a limited time, no clock count down. Is it just an error and it is set to leave the store at some point? Is it now a permanent item?

This is the first time I’ve wanted to buy ALL the event items even Gil’s Deal. I’ve had some from previous years (super collider, efcot center, Alien portal), but looks like I have a ton of grinding ahead. BUT, I just finished Corn with Witch Marge with the XP Collider running. Bonuts galore!!
Being a robot collector it was a nobrainer for me. BUY!
Maybe it’s a guy thing but I really like the giant robot dog. I put it in front of the Skyberdine Systems building and it looks like it’s guarding it.
I have also seen the Bart inside the giant robot (kinda like Alien), in a neighbor’s town. I know they are total hacker haters, so that’s not the situation with them. I’m so excited, I can’t wait!!!! WANT WANT WANT!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi. . . .i was waiting for a overview of what the “Forgotten Grave” ‘s in event game currency is to see if it is worth getting. Did I miss it somewhere? Does anyone know what you get in the event as currency ?

Love it. It’s a cross between Anubis from Stargate and Robocop lol. Have a bad (good) feeling that I’ll end up with everything from this event just like the Casino update 😁
So they are saying it is an Anubis head, I was thinking it was Mr. Burns’ Doberman robot. Giant robots aren’t my thing nor is over sized stuff for my Springfield, but I do like the canine aspect. Now to mull if I want to splurge on whimsy.
Is anyone else having problems spending future bucks I have a thing that keeps telling me to buy something with future bucks and I have nothing I can buy with them what gives
Have you finished the “demos” on any of the items yet? You can’t spend the FB until you do.
Actually yes I’m a level 5 and have made everything all the way to the hover bench saving for the next building that’s right after it but nothing that I’ve built so far is allowing me to spend future bucks it doesn’t even give me the option for ones that have already been made

Speaking of giant robots, just done a neighbour visit and saw Bart inside a big robot with a gun (similar to a Titan from tianfall ). Never seen this before, where is that skin / item from?
Also in my game the giant robot doesn’t show as limited time, does it definitely leave at the end of the event (I was going to leave it as I thought it was permanent).
That neighbor is a hacker. It’s not currently available, nor was it ever. However, it is part of a future item for this event.
The giant robot does NOT leave at the end of the event. It leaves tomorrow.

I disagree. They may or may not be a hacker. I saw it in my feeder town and I have never been or never will be a hacker. I think it’s just like with any other character when visiting neighbors and you see their characters in random skins. And in this case is some sort of bug that we are seeing prior to being released.
My cousins town has it when I visit and he hasn’t played in over a year, has nothing from any other event, and has definitely never hacked. I think it’s like the nightmare pile, where you see kids in neighbors towns in costumes even though they don’t have it

I just popped into his town and got a screen cap of the giant robot with Bart in it, and then I screen capped that it had been over a year since he had last played. I don’t know how to post screen caps here, also they have his real name because of Facebook. Is there somewhere I can email, if you are interested? I just don’t want people to be labeled hackers if they aren’t, that is definitely not the case here

Personally don’t think it’s worth the donuts. I got it for free at Christmas and I’ve been struggling to really fit it in my town right as is.

I bought the Super Collider but it didn’t come with a black hole. Is this a glitch? Or did I just mistakenly think it was a combo? If it’s my mistake I guess I’ll have to shell out another 10 donuts for the black hole. Thanks for any clarification 🙂
In this one the black hole unlocks with the Super Collider questline..
Ah! I didn’t realize there was a questline since one didn’t auto start after I placed the building. Sure enough after Bart was free and I sent him on his task I unlocked the black hole. Thanks for coming to the rescue as always, Alissa! 🙂

I never received the black hole either, & when I saw it in a neighbor’s town thought it was a glitch lol. It doesn’t impress me & I could do without it unless it serves some purpose.

Efcot centre just went premium didn’t it? I already had it and my % increased.
Not really worth the price, but I bought it anyway because … giant robot.
Is there any building or decoration that does earn robot parts? Maybe I have mine in storage. I ask because I noticed Lisa’s recycling plant (the yellow one with her face on it that is placed on the sand) started earning blueprints. Never would have known, if I didn’t take it out of storage.

Are you sure it ends on 23/08? As that’s tomorrow… I noticed earlier today that mine didn’t have an expiry date which I thought was strange. I’ll check again to be sure!
I just double-checked and mine definitely doesn’t have an end date…. it only says “new”. While the other items say “limited time” with a countdown.

Whomever took that image is a hacker. It’s not available in the game at this time.
(Or if you took the image then your neighbor is the hacker)
Hi Alissa, I took the screenshot of a neighbour. Sorry, I didn’t realise they were a hacker (I do know of a couple, but this one isn’t usually) and it wasn’t in the game yet… I just thought I’d missed a cool event! D’oh!
lol not your fault. I just get frustrated with this hackers that have stuff that’s not in the game yet. It’s one thing to use donuts etc, it’s another thing to ruin what’s coming for other people…
I believe it’s part of the wave associated with week 1…it doesn’t show it in-game (for some reason no timer). But the files indicate it. I could be wrong, but I’d rather err on the side of caution with the removal date than not.
They’ve given us far worse deals as far as giant decorations go. Truckasauras was 225. If it’d been 75, I probably would have gotten it.
I’ll be skipping it, but if you want a giant, dog-headed robot looming over your Springfield, it’s at least not a complete rip off.
I like this as I like giant robots. I have bought it.
