Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The nerds have invaded Springfield! Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad. And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields!
Act two arrived earlier today, with a whole new questline to work our way through!
As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 2 runs until September 13th, and you’ll need Hawking free to get things started.
Remember, the questline is there to guide you. So when you get stuck on something, or haven’t unlocked something, just follow along with the questline and it’ll take you through everything you need to do to complete the first Act and unlock everything you need in order to play properly.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just what you need to do to close the black hole and restore order to Springfield…

Running the Full Act 2 questline will earn you 863 if you don’t have Frink and 896 if you have Frink.
And that completes the Act 2 questline!

Should be a task in his task list once you’ve reached that part of the questline…
What is a flash? In the daily challenge, it says to use a flash during Scifighter. What’s a flash and hoe do you use it?

If you time it right … on part 10 you can send Homer more than once to Relax in the Brown House (2 hours). As long as the alternative Homers are still busy (8 hours) Homer can get up to 4 times 33 chronos for his part of the quest.
if you dont complete smack to the future part 10 by ignoring the alternate homers’ quests (they can still plunder the future), you can send repeatedly send homer and stephen hawkings to do the quest jobs for more chronons

I was wondering if anyone else was having problems visiting friends. Every time, and I mean every time lol, I visit my friends the game crashes. Doesn’t matter if I’m on wifi or 4g, what day of the week it is or what time of day. I get to visit two friends at most and it crashes. Any advise?
Yep, Friend Visits have been crashy for a long time, but it’s worse than ever now.

Everytime I try to go to any of my friend’s Springfields the game crashes. Guess not gInna finish the part 2 quest line.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling TSTO.
Or if you have an android phone..first try clearing your cache.
Game is broken. Asked me to log in last 2 times and now says Error occurred
I had the same problem last night, but the game appears to be fixed this morning.

There’s a post on the EA forums about it. It’s happened to me too.
My thoughts on Act 2, are as per my other comments, the formula is WAY OFF and it is going to be a grind, rather than a game.
Adding to that, EA Origin server seems to have gone down at 8:59 GMT and therefore, you get an error message when you try to log-in. The STO app has logged you out of your town and you cannot get back in to play the game and the message is: “An error occurred trying to reprocess the log in. Please try again.”
When you try again, you get the same message. Ugh!
You can now log back in BUT visiting neighbours throws you out of the app. They are sticking it to us today. Lucky most of your North American tappers will be sleeping through this.
Update – nearly an hour later, Origin is still down. It let me in once, I started to collect and it booted me out again. It now won’t let me log back in and is throwing up the same error message.
If I had to guess, I assume EA are either working on STO to patch the software (probably to remove the glitch that people are talking about that allows you to gather extra Chronos).
Agreed about the patch, even though my morning brain doesn’t know what STO is. I didn’t get a log-in issue (woke up around 6:15 to tap tap tap) but I saw others who were having trouble. I’ve also been Bart-screened maybe 5 times and kicked completely from the game twice in the past 10 hours…compared to literally having no problems whatsoever before Act 2 rolled out. My guess is a bunch of people signing into the app and refreshing at the same time, plus EA trying to patch things before it gets completely out of hand.
Can you imagine the chaos if it was daytime in North America during this whole situation? I doubt the app would even open 😂

How do you spend future bucks. I am stuck on a daily challenge that requires you spend them
You have to craft all the available demos of a single product, then you use future bucks to buy more.
Also if your challenge pays out future bucks, you might want to switch it out for another.

Unrelated, my daily task is to do something in Krustyland? What is this Krustyland they speak of? Sounds awful.
I saw it in a Simpsons episode once. Is it maybe something people got for an event years ago? You probably should skip it, just in case. It might crash your game.

Love the prizes in act 2, they’re grrrrrrrrrrrreat!!! Two new main(ish) characters, and every building prize generates income. Everything’s free as long as u put in the time and effort to earn event currency. I thought the Frink rebate deal was fantastic, since it’s cheaper AND EA threw in a fembot character. So far so good, I’m so into this event that i even splurged 160 donuts on Hyper Stadium and Rockstar Maggie because she’s so badass. I love adding as many characters as i can in my town cuz it helps me earn $$$ and level up donuts faster.
Slightly (very somewhat) off topic, but is anyone else getting the bonus % from the Heights buildings? My Conform-o-metre bonus is 50%, plus I’ve got 10 modern mansions, 10 classic mansions, 4 valet parking, 9 business centres, and 10 condos which (according to https://tstoaddicts.com/2015/08/10/springfield-heights-101-classic-mansion/) should give me an extra 130% (180% total), but still I only earn the extra 50% (tested with Gulp-N-Blow income).
It should only be bonus percent on XP, not on cash, as far as I’m concerned. Test that out and see if that’s what changes!

It’s called a “hidden” XP multiplier, because you can’t see it in your Conform-o-Meter. And the reason it doesn’t show up there is that it only multiplies your XP, whereas the visible multiplier multiplies both XP *and* cash.

I just noticed this morning that when you go to other neighbours Springfields and tap on robots you no longer get robot parts just Chronons,XP and cash, anyone else know this was coming? Because I had no idea.
You never did get crafting currency from neighbor visits, only the event currency. Act 1 was Dark Matter Act 2 is Chronons.

Thank you for the reply ellieg40395, it’s just that I was getting robot parts as well as dark Matter on neighbour visits during act 1 and now in act 2 I get Chronons only with no robot parts. it just seemed like a glitch.
I was getting robot parts but only when I tapped on the anomaly box.
Yes same here cinthiafer260 only getting robot parts by tapping the anomaly, and that’s an anomaly in itself 🙂
You get robot parts in addition to chronons when you use the glitch being talked about in these comments. I think I only have 3 levels to go in crafting thanks to it.

Act 1 just creeped threw it on time. 1st time ever i was struggling in 3 years to get all awards. Bring on Act 2
Anyway, there’s a glitch if you’re in need of extra chronons. I already have 4000 today. Head over to the forums and you’ll soon see, but it is a huge secret so EA won’t find out and patch it, so keep it quiet!

did i miss the rockstar maggie deal?!! i swear we had a couple more days and i held off until i was sure i would have donuts for Sgt. NAME WITHHELD. super. bummed.
As of yesterday the Gil Deal said there were three or four more days available. Guess they ended it with the end of Act I.
I did the same thing – thought there was a few more days for maggie.
