Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The nerds have invaded Springfield! Ok just one nerd, and he’s not all that bad. And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields! This multiverse event hit our devices and it’s full of alternate universe inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Chronons (
) to unlock each prize!
The fourth Act 2 Prize is awarded at 18,700 is the Newfangled Kwik-E-Mart, because even Apu deserves a remodel in the future…
So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 18,700 you’ll automatically be awarded the Newfangled Kwik-E-Mart and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have an option to place or store it for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go into your inventory later to retrieve it.
The Newfangled Kwik-E-Mart is just another house/building for Springfield. It does not come with a questline, so there’s nothing to help you earn more . Just unlock and build the house and move on.

Build Time: 4hr Build Time
Conform-O-Meter: Consumerism +10
What Does it Do?: This is not your typical Kwik-E-Mart. You cannot purchase Scratch-Rs from here. It’s basically just another building in Springfield.

I’am having a few issues with this new update. Has anyone had the game drop out, taking you back to the home screen? Happens only on my iPads. Can’t seam to finish Homers new home on next to the last challenge. Thanks, keep on tappin…..
Does anyone know how to complete the quest of tap oddities in your neighbors? Every time im trying to do it, only allowme to tap robots but i don’t see any oddities… or it has to be complete in your neighbors krustyland?

The anomalies are those floating cubes that sometimes appear in neighbor towns. If your neighbor has one, the game will scroll itself right to it (although you might not see it right away, if it’s hidden behind a building or something…but it will eventually float out from behind). It can take a while before you find someone who has one…my very unofficial observation is that I tend to get one or two per 30 neighbors’ towns that I visit.
Also, be aware that tapping the anomaly counts as a tap.
You can also send characters to do their jobs inside the new kwik e mart just like you can with the original building
Amazing that in the future there are still pay phones. You don’t see too many in the present.
If I send someone on a Kwik-E-Mart task and they are nearest to the Newfangled Kwik-E-Mart, they will do the task there. Apu just finished an 8 hour shift there in my game.
I think there was some great dialogue when this prize was awarded. Some funny Futurama tie-in

Thanks for all the good info Alissa. I have a request, though, that you break into the prize track rundown and next give us a SIB for the upgradeable Mars Colony that is being offered for 200 donuts. It won’t be in the store for very long, and I think many tappers, me included, really need to know if we have to scramble hard for the pinkies to buy this before it disappears. Thanks.

D’oh! Must be getting old. I totally blinked and missed the colony when it first came out, during the Casino event, which I played. Oh well, the dream was nice while it lasted…

lol no worries! I think we all forget things from time to time 🙂
I can’t bring myself to spend that many donuts for it, but I’ve seen people do some pretty cool design stuff with it, either as part of their NARA setup or as part of a film set setup!
The best dialogue followed after placing this Kwik-E-Mart – Dialogue between Homer and Bender was a jewel.
