It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Act 2 of the Sci-Fi Event is winding down, ending Tuesday morning. How have you done with the Act 2 prizes? Ready for Act 3? Just ready for it all to be over?
Speaking of the Sci-Fi Event…what are you planning on doing with your event items? Remember we’ve got our Showoff planned for the Sci-Fi Event, so don’t forget to show us your designs!
The very first episode of Addicts Live! premiered yesterday, have you checked it out yet? What did you think?

I’m not getting robot parts anymore when I visit neighbours, only antimatter and cash. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I’m not going to get enough to craft Homers Dream House and New Costingtons.
Also, I am afraid to send alternate Homers on their task to wait to be sent into the black hole because once the black hole is eliminated there will be no more robots. Is this the case or should I progress through the main questline?
Did I miss this? Did the multiplier change for buildings close to level 60?
I’ve finally gone past Lv60 and am now on Lv63.
But those buildings prices around Lv60 (Prison Bus, BigT Theater, etc …) are not going down.
My Big T Theater is still at $300k and my Prison Bus at $1.764M.
After 60 they don’t change
Heads up about the Frank Grimes “timed” character in our shop. Not sure if it will kick in after the event, or because I had Homer on a task, but when I placed the grave, Grimey was already dug up, and started quests that pertain to the event, to earn event currency…..
What happened to the EA TSTO Forum? It only loads the EA page with a message saying
Oooops.. You don’t have sufficient privileges to access this forum

Seeing loads of people reporting this…not sure. It’s EA’s forum so i dunno if they pulled it or if something else is causing the outage

Question when visiting neighbor’s towns’ when does one quit getting event currency & just gets in game cash?
It should be 90 tattoos, but I swear it’s usually 89 for me. But, either way, 30 neighbors.
I’m going to guess you meant “taps” not “tattoos”…but it was kinda funny, so thanks for the typos (read: memories). 🙂
Lol! Yeah – that’s a particularly frequent “mistake” that Swype makes…I try to catch these things, but I sometimes forget to read what I’ve written before submitting my comment.
There are certain words that I must not Swype very well, since Swype frequently gets them wrong. I wish it were a bit more intelligent, though…I mean, what’s the likelihood that I really meant to say “Thor,” rather than “your”? And it really doesn’t like the way I do “some” (a word I use pretty frequently)…it usually goes for “dime” or one of several other words that aren’t “some.” But, on the whole, it’s still faster to Swype than tap letter-by-letter. And when I want to type a longer message (like, say, my week’s update for the open thread), then I pull out my Bluetooth keyboard, which is the fastest and most accurate way for me write a comment.
So just a mini rant about the monorail track pieces:
Monorail: Hey! Looks like you’re out of straight track pieces! Here’s 5 more of anything except straight pieces! 🙂
Me: …
Monorail: 🙂
Me: *trades junk for track pieces*
Monorail: Oh hey! You’re still out of straight track pieces! Here’s 5 more non-straight track pieces and 5 donuts! See you next week!

I got two long straight pieces for the week
About the same for me. They were the first two track pieces I got this week and then nada. Maybe I’m just too picky, but I’d rather use the right parts on the Monorail, rather than using 30 short track pieces in a row or having a constantly twisting track trying to go in a straight line but ultimately looking like it’s drunk.

But how do I get Wise Guy to go there? Wouldn’t I have to wait and wait for him to wander by there? I only do 12-hour tasks overnight.
didn’t dr tyler tell you how to do this recently? 🙂 you gotta store the googolplex building, storing the wise guy along with it. then you place it right next to the building you want him to enter, in this case one of the green zenith city apts, exit out of the menu, and quickly tap on the wise guy to select his 12 hour task before he wanders off closer to another qualified building (for the 12 hour task, it’s any building considered a home). you can move the googolplex building back where it was after that.
Yep, that’ll work. You could also set his plumbing task near a brown house or other generic house, then move and store the house to free him up where you want him.

I just used DrTylers trick to send Wiseguy on a task, move the building close to an apartment, store the building he is in and send him on a check the plumbing task. VOILA your cats will be animated.”
I think Tapebelts method is less time consuming than mine. I had forgotten that Wiseguy was linked to the Googolplex building so I located Wiseguy first using the Town Hall then sent him on his check the plumbing task to the closest building then moved that building near to the green apartment. You know the rest.
