And only in Springfield can Professor Frink, with the help of Homer, open up a black hole that transports doppelgangers, robots and Stephen Hawking (!) to our pocket sized Springfields! So time to crack open those hologram wallets, because there’s a store full of multiverse theme premium items to spend our donuts on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Home of Tomorrow (or the Lampwick Rebate Bundle) to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these futuristic home to your Springfield…
This rundown is going to be about the Home of Tomorrow mainly, BUT if you have the option to get the Lampwick/Rocket Car bundle with the Home of Tomorrow….get it. It’s 160 donuts upfront but you’ll be rebated back 60 donuts. In addition you’ll be rebated back 6 donuts from Chester’s questline. So it’s a net of 94 donuts. Anytime you can get a building/character combo for 100 donuts (or less) you know I’m all over telling y’all to get it. Not only that this one includes a decoration (the Rocket Car) that offers a 2% bonus on all cash and XP. For more info check out the should i buy on Chester.

Donut Price: 40 Donuts (awards 40xp when built)
Earns: $135, 15xp/4hrs
Size: 6×9
Conform-O-Meter: Indolence +20

Pros:
-Small questline for Lampwick (and Bart) that earns additional 
-Animated when in use, lights up and antenna at the top spins
-Not unique, so you can add several throughout your future area
Cons:
-No tasks there outside of initial questline
-Fairly large footprint for what it is
Final Thought:
Premium/Freemium:
This is one of those toss ups. If you like it and have a use for it, get it. Otherwise, despite the low price tag pass. (unless of course it’s part of the Lampwick Bundle…again that you should get…) Personally I don’t feel like it’s really worth getting for Springfield, for freemium or premium players.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you I already own Lampwick, otherwise I’d take his deal. But I’ll likely be passing on the Home of Tomorrow, just doesn’t do enough to catch my interest…and donuts. Of course whatever you decide just remember this is limited time and will be leaving our games when the event ends next week. So if you’re thinking about grabbing it, do it very soon before it’s gone for good!

Surprised that no one has noticed this house is a clone of a Disneyland attraction from the 1960’s, Monsanto’s House of The Future in Tomorrowland. It was made completely of plastic and had all the modern gadgets, including the then-novel microwave oven…

So much value to this combo: Premium character, XP+Cash bonus booster, and a building that generates income. Also get 6 donuts back from finishing the main quest.
So happy this was posted! I couldn’t remember the % bonus for the original combo and I really wanted your take. I plan on grabbing this as my last spend. I caved, I admit, and purchased donuts despite being a freemium player, but I had to get some of the stuff from this event. Does that make me a mostly-freemium player?

Got the Lampwick combo as an offer, but even with that, the character and rocket just seem kinda meh to me….
I’m in the typically unfortunate position of having more than the net donut cost but not enough for the initial buy. And I refuse to use real $$$ for extra 1’s & 0’s.

Yeah, me too – I had 145 doughnuts, so I spent 10 on the XP Collider (3 day boost) and bought 5.5 million on bloodmobiles, kept selling and re-buying them until I had 100,000 cash left. I got 34 doughnuts out of it, so now I’m down to 69 doughnuts after the rebate.
While I do like the house and would like to have Chester at some point (as well as all premium characters as a Freemium player), I think I’ll have to pass. My donut supply is running low and don’t want to get into a situation where I can’t get something I really want again (still a bit sad on barely missing Hostess Miss Springfield)
When was miss Springfield on sale?
During the Casino Event. I was short by a few donuts when the offer expired 🙁

Yes, they were offered for 115 donuts. Good price for two characters, but I was unfortunately too low on donuts to get them 🙂

Lampwick & the rocket car is usually 120 donuts.

This event came with so many free buildings that I’ve pretty much decided not to buy any. I mean, I don’t want to end up with a Future Springfield that’s bigger than my “normal” Springfield! 😉
While this event has been so so for me, I have enjoyed the premium offerings. In addition to this bundle, I also got the Frink bundle and the RoboBurns deal. That’s 5 premium characters, 3 premium buildings and a decoration with a bonus % for a total of 325 donuts. Not a bad deal for this fremium player

Same here. Well, I don’t have Chester yet, but I will before the event is over. I’m not really that interested in him, but I have a lot of premiums now, and I’m at the point where I’m only buying on a good sale, like an event rebate offer, Black Friday, etc. I got burned, waiting over two years and buying Barney literally hours before he went on sale for the space event (he had never once been on sale in all those years, so I pulled the triggering thinking he never would be). Now they’re smart enough to pull the character from the store for a while beforehand so that doesn’t happen to people (Side note – It took a lot of effort and negotiation, but I did get some love from EA when I complained about my Barney purchase.)
How do you trigger the event quest with Lampwick? I got the normal quest to pop up but no event quest.
