Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Sci-Fi Event released a bunch of new items into our Springfields. Everything from a hover cards to new fangled Kwik-E-Marts to mushroom towers to evil labs! So let’s take a look at how these new and items impact our Conform-O-Meter…
The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.
While the Sci-Fi event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring a bunch of buildings and decorations. So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating:

What were your thoughts on the Sci-Fi Event? Which buildings/items did you win/earn? How’s your conform-o-meter doing? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
I’m confused about the 5% bonus for a 5 star conform o meter. How do we know if we get it? I’ve bounced on and off a 5 star rating several times over the past few months while redecorating/leveling up, and anytime I check my conform o meter bonus %, it never changes. Is it just automatically included when you hit 5 star the first time and I just missed it, or am I looking in the wrong place for it? I’m looking at the payout % bonus right above the conform o meter star ratings.
There are other factors in that as well…any premium decorations (or once freemium now premium decorations) that offer a bonus are included in there as well. But it is automatic.
You can always check your bonus % by going to a Glup and Blow (which pays out $100 regularly) and seeing how much cash you actually get from clearing it.
I’m glad the event it over and I’m disappointed in the outcome. Homer’s Dream House is a dud, as is Mecha Hawk. Now depending on a tie in update, I will start to send all my characters on 24 hour missions to build more cash and XP. I’ve earned everything, crafted everything and have 7 of each building in storage; possibly going to build a SciFi section?
I never recommend doing 24-hour tasks near an update. I’d keep them at no more than 8 hours…until we know what is coming.
I agree with Patric, plus, unless you’re only able to tap once a day, 24-hour tasks are not a good way to build cash and XP…the shorter the tasks, the better return they give. So, if you check in twice a day, better to use two 12-hour tasks than one 24-hour task. (If you check in even more frequently, go even shorter. I generally do two 4-hour tasks and one or two 1-hour tasks during the day, and then a 12-hour task overnight.)
Thanks for the tips! It sort of became a routine to tap just once a day when I was working. I have more free time now.
I liked the event, sadly I never seemed to have enough robots …… consequently I didnt finish the 1st or 2nd part of the acts. I dont know how others have half a dozen or more of things that have to be crafted and I am struggling to get one of them. Must be the fact I am old crazy cat lady.😕😕🐈🐱🐈
I prefer to call us “Experienced Casual Tappers”…
Do you have notifications turned on? I know they can be super annoying, but they do help remind you to check your town. Still, I had issues finishing the acts in the Super hero event.
most of the future stuff will probably end up in storage. That’s how I feel about it. The only thing from it I’ll keep out forever is the Future Simpsons house.
Hi, i’ve been out of the country for 2 weeks. What happened to the ea forum? Did they get rid of it?
That is still an unanswered question. Nobody is really sure…and EA isn’t talking.
Not much in the way of glutton. I guess they don’t eat much in the future. 😀
So much detritus, so little “value “?
Thanks for your diligence in updating us.
