Ah Autumn…leaves are falling, that crispness in the air has arrived and there’s a brand new season of TV on! Ok so it’s fall, and it still feels completely like summer (at least here in New Jersey) BUT…the last part is true. There’s a whole new season of TV shows…and the Simpsons Season 28 starts this Sunday! To celebrate the Season Premiere EA has launched a fun Episode Tie-In Mini Event in our games..something to gear us up for Sunday. So bust open those wallets, because there’s a store full of premiums just waiting for you!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Broken Promises Billboard to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding Lyin’ Joe’s billboard to your Springfield…

What Does It Do?: It’s a decoration…but it counts up each minute since you purchase it. So the timer runs up..in minutes.
Final Thought:
So this is one of those, if you like it get it decorations. Decorations are personal choices, because each of our Springfields are different and based on our own styles and design ideas. So it boils down to…if you like it, get it. If you don’t pass. It looks cool…but at the end of the day it’s a billboard. (another one..) And the bonus % isn’t that great for donuts spent….
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you I’ll likely be passing on this one. Although the counting up feature is neat, it’s just not something I need in my Springfield. Of course whatever you decide just remember this is limited time and will be leaving our games very soon (October 4th). So if you’re thinking about grabbing it, do it very soon before it’s gone for good!

Quimby: In keeping with the ‘er court mandate, my accountability will now be tracked on this new billboard. Looks like I’m doing great!
Lisa: Are you sure those numbers aren’t just painted on?

Lisa: Didn’t you promise to stop lying to the public?

It would be interesting if the timer only counted while you play, then you could know exactly how much of yr life you’ve wasted on this game. Just kidding, not really a waste.

I didn’t know that there is a timer on it. But 20 donuts is ok for what it does. By the way the big Ben digital clock only tells my own local time. I was looking at Sandra Shill’s clock and it still tells my own local time. Would be nice to know the time of players elsewhere.
I agree. And, if that were the case, then I would actually prefer the 24-hour clock!
I am military trained, so I am very used to seeing 24 hr clock. 😃

During my service, I need to draw my arms in such hours daily.
That would be a great feature. It would be nice to know what time it is in friends Springfields.
Yes buy it 20 dohnuts is what we get free in a week of tapping or so…… buy it you won’t be disappointed I promise….OK reset the clock
When I first saw this I was thinking about getting it to add to my billboard collection, but then I changed my mind, because there were several other things I wanted to save/use my donuts for. But now that I know that this is another “thing that does something” (count up the minutes), I think I may just get it after all, so thanks for that info! 🙂
It looks like that in 694 days the counter will reach 999999! What happens then? Are EA not planning to keep the game for another two years?! Who knows!?

So, just bought the billboard. Was wondering what your timer says after 2+yrs did it roll over to zero or Ian it stuck at all 9’s?

I bought it because I could, I’d bought everything else from this mini update and had a good space for it. The bonus for the donuts isn’t great but the beach houses more than made up for that!
Speaking of clocks, the Big Ben from the Sci Fi event now displays the current time.
I just wish it wasn’t 24-hour time… I’d prefer a 12-hour clock. (I’m usually pretty clear on whether it’s currently a.m. or p.m., lol!)
It’s the future version of the big ben tower so it has to be a 24 hour clock as that is the standard in the UK.
I’m still deciding whether I should buy the Quick+Fresh, Robot, or Drone.
Quick and Fresh at least earns income…the other 2 are NPCs
Happy Friday yall! Payday for me so was able to get my order in time for the addicts t-shirt 😆 very happy about that. Probably a pass on me for the billboard. Just sooo many billboards already in my town. I’d rather spend the extra 20 donuts for beachhut deco. and get the additional 20% bonus! Thanks for the S.I.B posts on all the new items.

Huh…that counter thing is actually pretty neat. I thought maybe it was display a random number when you click on it.
For 20 donuts, I think I’m going to get it.
I’ll like it a lot more if I know you can send Quimby to embezzle money or to the Sleep-Eaze hotel etc. and it resets to zero. If anyone wants to investigate for me, I’d appreciate it but I’ll probably get it. I wasn’t able to get any billboards for awhile after I first started, I coveted the Mr Sparkle billboard for a long time before it was finally re-offered, still don’t have the DIE (T) billboard. Maybe this year.
I sen everyone off on 4-hour tasks about two hours ago. When he’s ready, I’ll send Quimby off to one of those and see what happens.
