EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 10/5/16, DAY 2 OF Act 1
As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Act. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.
Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately 3408 
Film Strips a day.
Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” and feel like you are behind, but as you progress through the Questlines and Event you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. Just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.
ACT ONE PRIZES
Here’s the rundown of the prizes available during Act One that you can win by just playing the game and collecting Film Strips.
Town Square- 3,450 Film Strips
Bell Tower- 8,750 Film Strips
Small Obol Pack- 12,450 Film Strips
Burns Family Crypt- 20,400 Film Strips
Count Burns’ Castle- 29,950 Film Strips
Small Obol Pack- 33,650 Film Strips
Space Marshmallow- 44,300 Film Strips
BONUS ROUND?
There are BONUTS awarded at the end of the prize track. For every 2,800 
you collect you’ll have a chance for 1, 2 or 3 donuts…

I just came back to the game and started this event a little late. I just got the bell tower today. Haha guess I won’t be getting the whole line-up of prizes.
Well…as a player (not a mod) I have to say, you aren’t missing a lot. The best stuff is coming in the next act IMHO.
I’m just hoping to be able to get to Count Burns Castle. I don’t care about the other two prizes all that much. I have no idea what the prizes are in the next act.
I cannot wait for the space marshmallow….. Its too darn cute!!!

Is anyone else having trouble making multiple people fight the giant monsters? I can’t get more than 1 person to fight.
Just make sure to select two fighters before tapping the Fight button. (Also, you have to have the purple and yellow monster that accommodates two fighters…the blue and yellow one only allows for one fighter.)
Had to come back and make sure I am on track with the calendar. I earned the crypt yesterday and am on track to unlock burns castle either this evening or first thing in the morning. So far this event has been pretty good all glitches considered. I do have premium characters and items earning during this event so that has helped. I am not super excited about the space marshmallow though.
Ive had two minor issues since the update, but I believe after reading some other peoples issues, there should be a small form of compensation for the delays.

They’re used for crafting. Tap on the third icon down on the left in the event hub of tap on the Construction Yard itself.
Film seems quite easy to get but Obols are another matter all together. Does anyone else find that they are gathering them VERY slowly?
I was thinking the same thing. They seem very few and far between.
How many crafting consumables come in the small bundle I just unlocked it and am not sure I got it

Ok please help me…. I might be being a tad stupid… lets be honest it’s happened before! 😝 But how do you get more than two monster fights? Can’t seem to get any more but know people who have six at once??
So, I think you need to keep the following characters open at all times: Apu, Cletus, Krusty, and Skinner. If you tap the main building that we were originally given (the one with the werewolf claw icon with a red star shape behind it) it seems to house the fighting sequences. The monsters are usually just waiting in your town to be fought. I usually choose a fighter, then I press “fight.” Then, I go to the top of the same fighting screen, where it usually identifies “monster battle 1 of 3” and so on. I am able to access my additional fighters by pressing the right yellow arrows that state “monster battle…” From there I choose my additional fighters. So far, I only have the four fighters: Krusty, Cletus, Apu, and Skinner. I have Crazy Cat Lady, but I don’t know if I am going to invest in her costume (FYI: I dumped my cash on the new Lard Lad last week). Homer fought in the beginning, but he hasn’t returned to the monster battles. This seems to be a rigorous and labor intensive update, so you have to keep on top of the four hour battles and the kids’ trick or treat tasks. I know this is of little help, but good luck to you.

Great overview. Thanks! You are correct. Having CCL only makes it possible to battle another at the same time if they are available. But, your logic and methods are spot on.
It was indeed a good overview — but I don’t think it directly answered the question. Sue: If you’re tapping diligently every four hours, then it’s quite possible that you’d only ever see two monsters at any given time: They spawn two at a time every four hours, and likewise, a monster battle takes four hours. (The game also caps out at ten monsters in your town at once.)
As an amusing aside: if you click the redecorate button, you can move the monsters around… maybe wait for a couple more to spawn, and then put them all in one area for a good battle royale screenshot, for example. 🙂
That is the way it is supposed to work. And yet, wait times, clearing times, etc. are very confusing.

You’ll be able to catch up..the math is in your favor. I wouldn’t spend the donuts. (but yes, if you spend donuts to get a prize your film count will increase to that total)

No thanks to EA’s snafu yesterday, I am a day late and 1,000 Film Strips behind (you feel my irritation EA? well you should!!) …. but if that’s an NPC as the final Act One Prize? I’m fine reaching the last batch of Small Obol Pack and waiting for Act Two (seriously another NPC? you’d think EA would learn by now!) 🙁

Still wish there were more actions/quests for characters to do to earn event currency. Seems like the newer events have fewer things to do whereas the older Halloween events you could use more characters. Now we have a bunch of characters (at least those long time players) with costume skins and nothing to contribute towards the event unless you’re willing to spend donuts.
They should also break the main storyline quests into shorter quests, but more of them. Seems like a grind instead of a compelling story this year.
Oh, and they made the camera viewscreen that neighbors leave, a little hard to see when a building’s rent hasn’t been collected…then again, it could just be my old eyeballs. 😉
Let’s see, two monster fight rounds a day, if it works right and 4 monsters in a round. That’s 8 x 150. Only 1200 films a day. Looks like another buy it to enjoy it event.
OK they fixed my glitch, but I can only battle 2 monsters, how do they expect us to make those numbers at this rate.
Dont we get them for clearing rats too?
Does it increase from battling two monsters at a time and how do I get more?? only I know people who are battling six at a time??
Only if they delayed for a long period of time. 2 every four hours is the norm

How do you increase the monster battle from two. Some people have six monster battle going on at once but can’t seem to increase from two.
You need to add friend visits, trick or treat children to that. With time it looks like more children will do trick or treats so it should grow
