Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Our games have turned dark, the water is mucky and the trees have changed colors….it must be Halloween in Springfield!
The Halloween Event hit our devices yesterday afternoon and with it arrived, not only various monsters invading our pocket-sized Springfields, but a whole new questline to work our way through!
As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 1 runs until October 18th, and you’ll need Homer and Lisa free for a variety of 6s tasks to get things started.
Remember, the questline is there to guide you. So when you get stuck on something, or haven’t unlocked something, just follow along with the questline and it’ll take you through everything you need to do to complete the first Act and unlock everything you need in order to play properly.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just what you need to do get rid of those Monsters and help Lisa get into a good school (you know if she ever ages beyond 8)….

I know, the progress in the game is slow… Even earning obols (the coins) is very slow. I am also wondering if even the whole event is to be finished in the time they say??? And they doubled the amount for (some) craftable items.

Guys I’m into the fourth lot of prizes for the first act and now the amount of film needed to progress has nearly doubled.. I’m wondering if I am going to be able to unlock the space marshmellow by the end of the week as the process is slow. HELP NEEDED
I noticed that Suzanne the Witch and Montgomery Burns in his Vampire outfit, can generate film. Can anyone else ?
The Space Mutant, & Boobarella does also. I haven’t figured out any other characters besides these 4.
Is there any way to get free donuts?Besides poking homer 10times. You can only do that once from what I noticed.
That is a single “Easter Egg.” There are loads of ways to earn donuts as you progress. But, you are going to have get further into the game. Otherwise, they are pretty random.
Made an irritating discovery that I thought I’d share. If you are placing the fences you buy with Obols and decide you want more, DO NOT buy them straight from the placement screen (it only gives you that option if you have enough for more) because it will NOT count for crafting leveling. D’oh.

You got to your neighbors…and tap on the cameras you see in their town.
okay so i now get a bonus for adding a character to the monster battle. It looks like it costs me 60 film strips and I earn 60 strips back. But no reduction of duration or anything. Am I missing something here, or is it pointless to add character as a bonus?
Can you send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Because I don’t have any of that in my game…

Its okay. I have a monster and it is allowing me to add 2nd fighter. I just misunderstood what was happening, You just earn an extra 60 films, doesn’t cost 60 film. My bad. that’s what happens when you play at work and don’t really pay attention to either work or game.

Loving the Halloween event so far
(much better than a certain rival game’s event…) One quick question: is it worth buying the ability to lay cobblestone roads or can we earn it for nothing later? Don’t want to spend donuts unless I have to but it does look cool.
Right now I don’t see a free way to get it…

I have a question for everyone playing on a an iOS device…. I recently installed the latest software updates and noticed that my TSTO notification sounds are gone. Now when a task is completed in my game rather than hearing Homer yell “hey stop doing stuff and come play with me” (which I LOVED btw) now I just get a boring little ding. Am I the only one experiencing this? Is there something in my notifications settings that I missed?
My MiL had the same exact thing happen to her game on the iPad… she did a full reboot of her device and the sounds came back to normal for her.

How many monster battles are you supposed to have? 2 or 4? After the timer glitch fix I have 4 again but my MiL has 2.. Does another part of quest need t be done to unlock more monster batltles. And is the max battles 4? Thanks for the info!!
why does bart have a 24hr “Hangout at Krusty Burger” task? Is it just me?
Is that ‘regular’ Bart, or one of the Bart costumes? The only 24hr task I have for ‘regular’ Bart is ‘Have a Sleepover’.

The only good thing about Lisa’s 24 hour task is that I’m in central Florida hunkering down for a hurricane which will probably make it very unlikely that I get to play much between now and, oh let’s say, Saturday. So st least there’s one character and task I won’t have to worry about missing to much.

I have been playing since mid 2013 (I think), but during the original monorail event I lost my entire town. I won’t go into why. Just know that I’m dingy. That explains it.
So I had to make a decision mid monorail to make a new town. I started my new town with the monorail but not finishing.
Things I love/am thankful for:
1. The ability to get the rail yard again (I couldn’t get it when I started over)
2. Halloween and Christmas are always my favorite events (I even made myself am awesome campground with tents and spooky sheds from last year)
3. The cobblestone road (it’s so awesome. Even if it cost 40 donuts, I think it’s worth it as it is perm)
4. I’m obsessed with the flying bats
I know I probably won’t love everything in every event, but I’m really excited. I finally got my Springfield heights grind out of the way and am looking forward to making an epic Halloween town in my heights area. I may want to make a division from the beach area to have some fancy beachy space. Not sure yet.
Any who, just thought I’d share my thoughts.
I’m excited for this and the Christmas events.

Fellow bat lover here. I intend to get a huge flock if possible… Should I even bother with the other prizes? Decisions, decisions.
If I clear all the income from my buildings in my Springfield, will my neighbors still have cameras to tap? I am thinking that for this event we need to leave some buildings income alone, but not sure.
Those camera viewer image things left by neighbors visits are really hard to see, and find!

Exactly, I didn’t really notice the neighbor visit zooms (or whatever it’s called), until I read in a post here that visits help not only me, but also the neighbor. So I won’t just go through the first 90 friend actions (as I usually do during events when it doesn’t help the neighbor and the game crashes a lot), but I will go through all of them to help everyone.
I rotate through my neighbours with these types of mission visits, making note of who was last one day, starting from the next one the day after, if your game keeps crashing, save you losing your nut over it, as going to every nb takes even longer, might make it easier for you doing like that. Btw, as long as your a registered player, have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling? I have to do this every 2/3 missions as my kindle gets antsy ‘re memory…. but make sure your registered, or you’ll lose everything, don’t want that :/
