It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky, there are monsters everywhere to battle and (as with all events) there are LOADS of items from Halloweens past to spend those sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Hellementary School to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this hell raising school to your Springfield…

Donut Price: 90 Dounts
Earns: 200 
, 40xp/20hrs
MAG Points When Placed: 175 
Size: 5×13
Conform-O-Meter: Obedience +20
Pros
-Always animated, flames flicker. When in use it’s got an additional animation (front doors open and flames shoot out)
-Earns a decent amount of event currency every 20hrs
-Bart has a 8hr task there, to get Straight A’s in Evil (earns $420, 105xp)
Cons
-No questline associated with it
-A bit on the pricey side for just a building
Final Thought
Premium
An ok buy for a premium player. Fun looking building with a character task (that pays at a premium rate) . I say if you have the donuts and a location for it, pick it up. But DO NOT buy it for the event currency. You’ll earn plenty of event currency from the event itself. In other words you don’t need this to be successful in this event. So get it because you like it, not because you think you need it.
Freemium
Personally I think this is a freemium pass. Yes it has a character task, but I do think there are nicer items to grab for your donuts (or nicer items to come). So freemium players I’d pass on this, and save those donuts for something better.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m passing on this one. Doesn’t excite me enough to spend the donuts and i really have no place for it. But whatever you decide just remember this will be leaving our games soon, so make your final decision before it leaves our games on October 18th…

What is the fixation that EA has with setting schools on fire? There are two ways (i think) to set Springfield Elementary on fire and now here’s another school on fire! Something tells me that the developers didn’t enjoy school much when they were kids, lol!
I was lucky enough to get it in the mystery box for Halloween 2017. The animation is pretty cool. As the reviewer said, not much in the interaction with other characters. Oh, well. 🙂

I grabbed this one simply because I liked the way it looks. Fits in well with my little pocket of this years Halloween fun in my Springfield.
Thank you so much once more for these “should I buy” reviews, they are so helpful. I was on the side of probably not buying the hellementary and will definitely not now as I thought they same thing that it was waaay too expensive for just the building, even though it looks very cool.

I picked this up pretty much right away. I’m a freemium player and had 79 donuts when it came out. It’s a neat looking building and I don’t really concern myself with getting characters too much, so I don’t care it doesn’t come with one. I know I’m not going to the the last prize this act, but I just want to at least burns castle and maybe the currency too.
Two elementary schools that can be set on fire…. Sounds like some folks had some bad experiences as children, lol! 😉

Don’t have this yet, but thinking of picking it up to put behind the Fortress of Choclitude to make it look a bit bigger, not sure if it would work the way I want though…

Yeah but you have to consider Homer is rebuilding the town, he just sees it as chocolate fondue 😀
I bought it right away, I love the animation, & the look of the building itself. It will end up being with my other Halloween stuff (when I get my SF rebuilt 😂)
I got it. I love teaching so i got it. Im low in donuts though.
I don’t really want this as a permanent fixture in my town. I wish it was just a skin for the school instead of being a separate building, so I could have it up for Halloween and then go back to normal. Oh well, pass for me.
I suppose you could swap them out for each other, but then you would lose some of the tasks there and whichever character(s) it gave you.
That is a non-option, unfortunately, since Skinner fights monsters.
True… But in future years, it might be, since EA likes to make sure things that helped one year never do again.

Agreed completely, but part of me wishes it was just a façade for the actual school.

mini quest was cool it gifts you with “Despair Heights ” sign. I also bought Dr Hibbets Island for the mag points to unlock more trick or treaters . Ive got 6 collecting making things a little easier. Just placed count burns castle.
Hi everyone, I’m having a little trouble and can’t find a solution. There’s no option for me to send Milhouse trick or treating! I haven’t unlocked Bart yet (newbie, lvl. 9) so obviously I can’t send him, either.
Does anyone know why this is or how I can fix it?

Just had an episode related mini quest pop up for Bart, Martin and Milhouse. A couple of rounds of 6 second tasks. Earned a few film strips and offer to buy Battle Dome for 150 donuts which generates 200 film strips every 20 hours.
It also earned a free small decoration, a stone sign for ‘dilapidated heights’ (or something like that). It’s cute. 🙂
But man, was I irritated at first when I thought the ‘tie-in prize’ I was supposed to win was JUST the ability to buy some building for a lot of donuts! 😂
This one was a “OMG Halloween is here! Buy all the things!!!!!!1!!!!” purchase. Not as regretful as I am of this one as I am with Dr. Hibbert’s island…but I sorta wish I waited on getting it. I was hoping Lisa and Bart would have a task here…or at least Bart.
According to the post Bart does have an 8 hour premium task there.
