It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle. And to top it all off yesterday we saw a fun episode tie-in introduced in our game in honor of this Sunday’s 600th episode of The Simpsons…conveniently the THOH episode!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Battle Dome to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Hunger Games inspired Dome to your Springfield…

-It’s MASSIVE in size
-While it is animated, the animation is weak and unimpressive (to me).
Final Thought
Premium and Freemium
In my mind this is a pass for both groups. It’s massive and unimpressive. Not to mention WAY to expensive. If I were you, I would avoid it and spend my donuts on something better.
I know there are those of you that will tell me I’m wrong, and you’ve already purchased it. And that’s ok. It may appeal to some of you. But for those of you wondering about it, pass.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m passing on this one. Doesn’t excite (or impress) me enough to spend the donuts. But whatever you decide just remember this will be leaving our games soon, so make your final decision before it leaves our games on October 18th…

I hope to get this in the Halloween 2017 event, just for nostalgia and its only 65 donuts. Most of these characters already have premium jobs for 4 hours. 🙂
I just got it. You’re not missing anything. I was hoping to get the drive in theater. I’m 0 for 2 with the mystery box. *sigh!*
I was about to buy it, but while trying to place it the dimensions seemed off. Yes, it is huge, but at the same time too small, like it has been shrunken down from its original size. Cancelled the buy, and so far I was able to resist. I am sure there will be better things next week. Or even tomorrow. Lately EA’s offers are always staggered, every day sonething new appears or disappears. Missed a few things in other events because I didn’t quite realize that they weren’t available during the whole event. At least it saved me some donuts. Nomnomnomnomnom…
Commenting as a player, and not a moderator here… PASS! There seem to be a ton of weird, and kinda smallish, blobbular offerings this time around. One less to worry about…and I can save my bonuts for something I really want.
I tried to pretend buy and moved it around to see how it would look and I actually have NO room whatsoever.
I guess my decision was made for me. : /

I usually agree with you, Alissa, and I think you made the right call this time. I am kind of a cheapskate freemium player, and I am glad I scooped up the crazy iguana lady and passed on the battle dome. I’m enjoying this event!

Not sure about if I’m gonna pick this up. I DO know that Space Marshmallow is freaking awesome. Great character IMO.
It’s big but not as big as I was expecting. I think it looks cool, love the busted up lard lad inside.
I think the main problem for me is that’s another of these decorations where everything is smaller than everything else in the game. I mean compare the Lard Lad inside the dome to the regular one outside and it just really sticks out. Like there’s a random shrunken area inside a normal-sized town. I had the same problem with the Mars Colony.
If it weren’t for that it’d be a pretty cool decoration. Ridiculously huge if it were at the right size, but cool.
Easy pass, I’m running low on Donuts and too excited for the upcoming winter event! 🙂

I was contemplating but held off until this post was up. I was so torn because I actually LOVE the Hunger Games books but the massive size is a huge turn off since the animations and tasks there are limited. It would have been a definite purchase if you could choose which characters to send to battle.

Haven’t used my old device is months.
I got this message after I loaded game, tapped a bit, then walked off to get a coffee, gone too long as idle device turned off, opened game to reload, only to be pounded with this message over & over.
Closed app, forced closed, turned off device, reboot device etc
Any suggestions?
I had the same thing the other day. Eventually I just tried the “Continue” button, ignored that it told me I might lose some content, and it opened right up with no problems and nothing missing.
Oh lord, by days, I hope you mean weeks. This is a very expensive event so far.
I was tempted since it looked like it might fit in with the Sci-Fi stuff, but ultimately I passed. Not worth it for the price and I already have premium skins for Bart and Millhouse so the task there has no benefit to me except for Martin.
I think I’m going to pass…I was waiting for your summation of what it did (animations) to decide and it doesn’t sound that intriguing to me. Thanks for your input!
Got it and instantly regretted it. Unlike skull island, which at least got you a decent amount of mag points, this one has nothing to offer. Event currency is easy to obtain (currently 3-4 days ahead of the calendar) so that’s not a real plus. I may be able to fit it into my mountain range forest area, but I’ll have to get creative with some 3D to make it come out halfway decent looking…
I bought it but that only because got some decoration in my storage what can put next to my battle dome to look awesome. BTW what time is addict live again
