Halloween 2016 Prize Guide: Act 1, Prize 7 Space Marshmallow

Note: Yes, your Feral Monsters (Rats) are evolving…and a couple of other premium items hit the store.  I’ll have that all covered a little later. 🙂

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields!  Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle.  Just like October in every other suburban town in America, no?

The Halloween Event is in full swing on our devices and it’s full of creepy decorations, buildings and characters…all designed to get us into the Halloween spirit!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the First Act you’re tasked with collecting Film Strips (ico_cur_thoh2016_filmstrip_lg) to unlock each prize!

The fifth Act 1 Prize is awarded at 44,300 ico_cur_thoh2016_filmstrip_lg is the Space Marshmallow, because he’s magically delicious…

So let’s take a closer look at this seventh prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 44,300ico_cur_thoh2016_filmstrip_lg you’ll automatically be awarded the Space Marshmallow and you’ll see this message popup:

Now unlike characters that have come with past events, the Space Marshmallow does come with his own decoration…the Meteor Egg.  He’s associated with this decoration, so if you store it you’ll also store the Space Marshmallow.

Once place you’ll see his character unlock message appear..

And he’s part of the Treehouse of Horror XXVII Character Collection

And there you have it, the details behind the Space Marshmallow, the seventh Halloween prize!

  1. I didn’t get him because of all the updates that they keep dropping…
    Is he worth 100 donuts?

  2. I’ve got about 15mins left, won’t be able to get the space marshmallow. :/

  3. Got it already and I am having more fun with it than I expected.

  4. so scared i wasn’t going to get the space marshmallow got it with 19 hours to go …. and the space marshmallow can fight the monsters? cool i needed more fighters

  5. Do we really need these stupid introductory quest lines anymore? All this is is a waste of time. We get it. We are not stupid. The character has 5 available quests. Forcing us to run through them one at a time, when the character is needed elsewhere is just plain stupid. Every time I find myself having to work through one of these silly quest lines I feel like I’m being forced to vote for Donald Trump. Please EA end the stupidity.

  6. If you dont have him by tues, will he be gone when act 2 launches?

  7. I love it so far!!!

  8. So the mystery is: what happened to my Meteor Egg…?

I presume I got it as I’ve completed Space Marshie’s questline but I cannot find it – & don’t even remember placing it! It’s at times like this that I wish there was a Search function to find items in your SF…

Guess it will show up somewhere, sometime – probably when I try to place an item somewhere and it won’t place!
    😄😄😄

  9. Will get him today.great stuff.

  10. How do you earn Mag points

  11. Got him a little earlier today, yay! Does anyone (Alyssa?!??!?!) know if any of the items that we can craft have a hidden % attached to them?? Thank you!!

  12. The meteor egg found its place in last year’s Halloween area of my Springfied – somehow does not fit with this year’s buildings ad decorations as good.

  13. i have to he is a LOT cooler than I expected.

Oh, and if anybody else is addicted to mystery boxes to boost their bonus, it looks like the payout has been slightly modified. I don’t have enough data to know if this is an anomaly or a real adjustment, but the old payout of 1% bonus for 8 donuts appears to now be running about 1% for 8.25 for me. Hth

  14. I think this is the first time you’ve had an event prize post up before I unlocked it, as I’m still 6,000 film short of the marshmallow. Well done 🙂

  15. Yay… I was sure it was going to be an npc happily supprised

  16. Good day, fellow addicts! Have you noticed a winged feral monster that can’t be tapped out? Been trying to tap multiple times but no film! Would this be another NPC?

  17. Tap the winged ones on the ground or in the air, it doesn’t matter. Tap twice, each tap gives 6 film. First tap gives 6 film and they don’t disappear, tap a second time and another 6 film pops out and then the little fliers vanish.

  18. Got Space Marshmallow yesterday, working on 2 set of bonuts.

His task will forever be “Emulate Homer”

  19. Which town were you in for screenshots? Didn’t you like the look of Crazy Iguana Lady?? 😁

  20. To get bad dream house to work and light up, send Wise Guy on his 12 hrs task to “check the plumbing”. But make sure he is directly next to the dream house.

    • If you have Lucille Botzcowski, her 24 hour rob a house task can also do it.

    • As Guitar Bob mentioned, Lucille can light up bad dream house, freeing up Wise Guy to animate just about any building with his various tasks. His ‘work a clerk shift’ animates stores, the farmer’s market, etc. He’s great clerking at Sequel Stop – the animated sign looks great.

  21. 4kidsandacatdog

Just got him this morning. Haven’t seen a visual task yet (he’s currently in the Simpsons house) but I can’t wait for the 4 hour task!

  22. For the first time in a long time, I’m ahead of the calender in the first act. Really happy about that! Looks like I will get the final prize this time around, probably tomorrow or late tonight.

  23. I got him 20 mins ago.

  24. It seems the rat mutants are evolving. Some of them have wings now and lift off the ground. I like it.
Marshmallow is kind of cool. I like him emulating Homer.

  25. Just got him! I love him so far, he’s very entertaining.

  26. This is way cooler than I was expecting.

  27. I LOVE this character. For those saying this event sucks, it doesn’t.
There are A LOT of hugely requested characters to come!

    • As I am waiting now for Act 2, the bonuts are streaming again 🍩😁

    • So I agree that when ppl just say it sucks, it’s too vague of a statement. So I’ll break down what sucks for me. First, the obol payout. Next, the cobblestone roads, they should be like the cement and not have sidewalks. And they screwed the bridges with the cobblestone too. Next, while you make a point about characters, which is fine, the new items and buildings don’t make my list. So far the last 4 events, just about everything has gone to storage. Finally, this is just another 4 hour check in event. Boring. The coolest feature from any event was the stone cutters scroll. When you had to use some sort of brainpower to achieve the mystery task. It’s all just nonsensical tapping anymore. Rant over.

      • Agree with all of your points! Hey EA, if you are rEAding this then please work out some cool, mystery way to earn prizes. I have a list of ideas if you want any help
