It’s almost Sunday and the Simpsons are back this week with an all new episode!
So here’s your official TSTO Addicts reminder…all new episode of The Simpsons, this Sunday, October 16th, on FOX….“Treehouse of Horror XXVII“
And it’s the 600th!!!!!! Episode! Woohoo!
So what do The Simpsons have in store for us this week? Well it’s the 27th edition of Treehouse of Horror..
Here’s the episode information released from FOX about each Segment:
“1. Dry Hard: In the midst of a major drought, Mr. Burns introduces a Hunger Games-style contest in which Springfield’s children fight each other for a day in Burns’ personal reservoir.
2. BFF: Meanwhile, Lisa’s imaginary best friend, Rachel, is jealous of Lisa’s real best friends and starts killing them.
3. Moefinger: Moe tells Bart that the barflies are actually covert agents and that he wants Bart join their team in Homer’s place.”

Another “meh” THOH.
The “Bond” parody was pretty lame.
Although the Bond song was good but I will never get the images of Patty and Selma in bikinis out of my head.
Lisa’s imaginary friend:
If that was a parody, I have no idea what it was.
The best part was Lisa driving the SUV with the dead deer on the front.
The “Hunger Games” parody, not a bad start but the senseless and completely superfluous Mad Max part did not work. The funniest bit was the two guys named Pita/Peta.
Also, raise your hand if you got the “Flash Dance” reference.
I thought the episode fell flat. Not to mention the microwave gag where Homer is seen eating the remains of his childhood imaginary friend Sgt. Sausage. They just did a recent episode where Homer put a bunch of food in microwave and it blew up. Next you see Homer eating the contents out of Microwave on couch. Like real fans wouldn’t notice that gag was used twice in same season. I think last week’s SNL, insert most boring drawn out skit name here, was funnier than this entire episode. Maggie should have talked at length and killed everyone with her irritating voice…now that would have been a neat twist…600 episodes of pent up baby aggression and then word vomit galore!!

Similar reaction to the other two segments with a 😒🙁 result from me. Decent game possibilities but just meh.
I don’t know if the THOH plus 600 episode got my expectations to high but it was a let down either way.

Not sure if you guys knew this, but this episode ties them for the most episodes of a scripted television show ever. Previous record has been standing since Gunsmoke ended over 40 years ago!! That means, next week’s 601st episode will give them the crown!!
There are 635 episodes of Gunsmoke which still means The Simpsons should pass it by next season.
Guess I should have used fact checkers instead of believing the news guys! lol

The Simpsons are doing the coach gag (not sure if whole episode) in vr. And they gave away 25000 google cardboard for free. I don’t know if specialty google cardboard for the Simpsons or just normal google cardboard. Also it on android not sure about ios

The teaser for the Dry Hard segment looks a whole lot more like Mad Max than Hunger Games…even though I know the dome that was offered as the episode tie-in is straight out of HG.
