Just a reminder that Act 1 of the Halloween Event Ends TOMORROW October 18th at 0800 GMT (4am ET).
Once Act 1 is over you will no longer be able to earn Act 1 Prizes for free. So get everything you can before it’s all gone!
Crafting will STILL be available in Act 2. As will the Obols you’ve accumulated and the MAG points.

Never, ever, never, nope, no way. There could be 100 obols in Krustyland and I still wouldn’t go there. Never ever again (unless it’s necessary for a quest line)

Super bummed out! I won’t be getting the last three prizes of act 1! 🙁 i started the event pretty good for about three days but then The game wouldn’t load past the splash screen!! I had EA call me and they had to roll back my Springfield to the beginning the the event! Even though I got free donuts for pain and suffering, I still lost three full days of progress. I feel like such a failure when I don’t grab all the prizes. I’m not worthy being a TSTO addict. :'(
I had a similar situation, and got no response from EA. I finally did a routine password reset from the login screen and I’m back up and running. Maybe give that a try.
I can’t get into my game and now EA claims my account doesn’t exist. I’ve been trying to get help for over an hour and “customer service” clearly has no idea what they’re doing 🙁
Go to the ea site with a pc or laptop. Change your wachtwoord after this maybe you can login again
This happened to me at the beginning of the month. I contacted EA through the live chat feature and they reset my password fairly quickly. It was quite painless actually which surprised me after all the horror stories I’ve heard. Same thing happened to me again today. I had a little more difficulty getting the live chat feature to work but in the end I was able to reset my password without their help this afternoon. I am hoping this won’t be an ongoing issue. Hopefully you can get through to someone soon!
I’m in all done with act 1. I got all the main prizes plus 4 rounds of bonut.i just had to avoid a minor emergency today.i woke up to a dead cellphone. Had to go and get a new one. So glad I had everything done with this act. Bring on act 2. Im ready now. Good luck to all those still tapping away.
A patch just came through and now I can kill all of the rat things!

Same deal as Bigcrompy – I played every day, but still 5,000 short. Plus I had Space Mutant and Boobarella already. Frustrating.
No premium characters and I’m still 4k away, “worst event ever”.
How often do you play per day? I usually play every 4 hours for about 4-5 times per day. I cleared big prize this phase about 2 days ago and have had 2 bonut tries. I do have Squeaky Voiced Teen, so I do get an extra 40 films per play (160-200 per day over freemium only) I play, then usually immediately set an alarm for 4 hours (I sometimes forget), but sometimes it is inconvenient to play exactly when it goes off and I play at the next time I am free from distractions, then repeat.
3-4 times a day, I was 900+ for the “first” day then ran ok for a few days then dropped rapidly, my feral’s got stuck in the woods which cost me a lot. Still it’s just a grinding event again.
Same here. I appreciate there are obsessives, those who set timers and harvest on schedules to meet the event, but TSTO is a destress thing for me. It should allow you some breathing room for life to intrude, not a schedule-dominating tap-festival.
If this is what the post-level game turns out to be–a limited time tap marathon–I may end up quitting the game. I preferred the casual pace of the Levels. To play as much as I have in the last few weeks and have this kind of chasm to finishing the Act just makes me want to stop playing entirely.
I totally agree with you. I’ve been playing TSTO for over 4 years, and find that it’s much more realistic for me to log in 3 times a day. It’s extremely difficult for me to get to the games 4x per day, which appears to be the minimum TSTO requires us to log in in order to get all the prizes. While I DO love it, it’s also a stressful exercise for me sometimes. I applaud all tappers who can get to their games 4x to 5x per day, but that’s just not in the cards for this long time tapper. Ugh.
Not sure why some people struggle only during this event. I think its even easier than some before. I manage to play 4 times a day and am done. Have collected the MAG Bonus a few times on top. Didn’t buy any premiums from this event to help. I do have Booberella, Space Mutant and SVT, though.
Count Burns also earns films!

For some reason this morning when I try to tap the flying monsters nothing happens. Happening to anyone else?
Yup! That’s been happening to me too for the last few days. Not sure how to fix this / how to get them all. Are you on android by any chance? My friend who plays is on iPhone and she hasn’t had any problems with that!
Just started this morning for me. I am playing on android. I have tried soft close, hard close, but am reluctant to do delete and reload, so hope this is just a minor hiccup going into next phase.
No I play on an iPhone, quite irritating! The one game I play everyday!
I finished this act with over 4 days to go and don’t know how I did. I logged on 3-4 times a day and visit neighbours, just seemed to go quicker than others.
The only thing I can’t find is Vampire Mr.Burns?
Vampire Burns is a skin for the “normal” Mr. Burns.
Soo…what is happenig if I start Trick or Treats or Monsterfights and collect them once the sevond chapter is live? Do they give the new currency?

Is there a list anywhere of who can do ‘Set Up Training Exercises’ (4 hr / ? It would be surprising if they can’t in the next act as well. For the record so far I have:
– Space Mutant
– Suzanne the Witch
– Vampire Mr. Burns

FYI you can have up to 10 monsters at a time in your town. I recommend stocking up on as many purple ones as you can for tomorrow if you’re already done the prize track!
Good point, and something I plan to do, too. Likewise, I’m skipping my Friend visit tonight, so I can do it first thing tomorrow, I’ll send my trick-or-treaters and MAG-taskers on a final round of tasks, but not collect it until after the change-over, and finally, I’ll be letting friend-taps on my buildings, and hounds build-up, too.
Should I buy the Drive in Theatre?!? Also, I don’t think I’m going to earn the last prize/green guy. I didn’t feel well yesterday so I didn’t play, no way I can get enough film today. 🙁 Wish they were more giving with that and the obols!
You should. If there’s one premium you want to get, its the Drive In Theatre! I asked this question few months ago when it was made available. Bought it at 150 donuts, and never regretted it.
MELISSA- If you buy the drive-in then you can use the Space Mutant to earn tickets (50 every 4hrs) and Act 2 & 3 currency. Obol prizes aren’t going anywhere. The last prize can fight & earn currency too. Not sure how far off you are….💜X

Yes – if you can afford the donuts, I’d recommend picking up the Drive-In Theater/Space Mutant combo. Besides being helpful for the event (which I never use as a criteria for buying a premium item), it’s a lot of fun!
As for the Space Marshmallow (the final prize on the Act 1 prize track), keep plugging away on the film strips and, just before you’re done for the day, see how much it would cost to rush the rest of the track and get him. If you’re reasonably close to earning him, it can often be cheaper to get the final prize that way than to wait until they re-release it as a premium item.

Does anyone else has monsters who don’t go away, not even if you tap them twenty time or more? I’ve got two of those bastards and I call them ‘the untappables’. Hardclosing my game, going to krustyland or friends while playing, rebooting my phone, nothing helps… Don’t want to reinstal the game, 800 mb takes a century, in which I can’t get bonuts…

I have about 20 of them (not easy to count when they move around). Really annoying.
This is unrelated to this post but I was wondering if anybody else out there has had the problem where you can’t login in to your ea account even though you have the right password and email. What should you do about it?
Reset your password. It has been reported widely.
Yeah, reset your passport. It happened with one of my B-towns, resetting the pw fixes it.
I believe the large monsters will not only be available, but we will get a new one in Act Two that allows three people to attack. Hopefully we will also get more people able to attack, because I believe in Act Three will be yet another new monster that allows four to attack at once.
As for different rewards, they don’t give film, they give whatever the currency for the current act is. So right now it is film, tomorrow it will be clapboards, and after that will be megaphones.
Stocking monsters for next round. Just finished a bonuts round and decided to get a head start on Act 2.
EA, if you’re reading, please fix the obol payout!
Gotta say, this act has been pretty donut-rich for me. Got to the Space Marshmellow with 5 days to spare, think I’m on my 7th bonut round. After getting the next one, I’m going to hold onto monsters and building tapping.
About the same here as well except I don’t plan to hold monsters over.
Will I save monster battles or continue battles, will film strips be needed in act 2
They always change the currency, but they usually keep the method of obtaining it.
‘Tis interesting that Prize #19, out if 20 total, is 250(?) Film Strips.
I am guessing that 17+ hours it will ‘magically’ become 250 Megaphones or whatever the new currency (Director Chairs?) becomes. Guessing that since some folks rush through using LOTS of donuts, it currently is Film, but will change to meet the next two units of exchange.
Game just glitched to give me the event-bonuts window twice, so I decided to make another bonuts round instead of saving up large monsters or the bonus from a daily task for the next act. If the second act earns as easily as the first one, I doubt I’ll need a head start and prefer hopefully six more bonuts (if the glitch glitches again).
same for me. somehow on my 5th bonut round it gave me the bonus twice for 6 additional donuts.
I’m usually a very diligent player, logging in often, fighting monsters etc..I acquired crazy cat lady…and yet I am looking like ending up 5000 or so film short, unless I swing it some how.
I didn’t bother with tapping in friend’s towns until late in the piece, but that doesn’t seem to account for all that many film…so I really don’t know how I’m really that short. I don’t think I have a good supply of howling wolves to be honest. Or – maybe disappearing down that K-hole for 4 straight days last weekend wasn’t the best idea….??!
Not that you can fix it now, but make sure you are using x-ray vision to clear out all monsters. The get stuck between buildings or where you can’t see them. If you tap 4x a day and do all the jobs and kill all the monsters you should have no problem. I’m getting 7-8k a day but I have 2 premium characters.
Ummm, yeah – missing 4 days can definitely make a BIG difference… Also, tapping in friends’ towns is not inconsequential and it also helps to have a lot of really good neighbors (like I do! 🙂 ) who visit your town and tap in your town during an event like this. Between the taps I’ve gotten by going to friendvilles and the taps I’ve gotten clearing my town of friend taps, I think that’s added up to a meaningful number of film strips I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
I recommend to everyone to try and find 100 really good neighbors…it really does help in this game, and it also makes it more fun when you can see all the different designs that people have come up with using many of the same items as each other, as well as giving you a way to check out a premium item before you buy it, to see how it really looks. I love my neighbors! <3
If you save the daily task that rewards film it usually does not change to the next currency. Instead it might glitch or change to money.
Will the large monsters still be available in Act 2 with different rewards and so should I hold them for start of act 2?
I presume it matters not when you START the battle, but rather when you END the battle (and collect).
Yes, the monsters should carry over into the next act. I’m not sending all of my fighters in to fight monsters anymore until bedtime, when I’ll send them in so I can collect them in the morning, after the act has changed over. I’ll also have more monsters than I can fight at that point, so should start the new act with extra monsters to help keep my fighters busy in the new act.
But, one factor that went into my consideration about this was that I also know that I won’t make it to another round of bonuts before bedtime…if you’re really close and bonuts are important to you, then it might be worth fighting monsters today to earn Act 1 currency. Otherwise, I’d save some monsters for Act 2. (Just keep in mind that 2 more will spawn every 4 hours and that the game will only let you accumulate up to 10 monsters.)
