It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky, there are monsters everywhere to battle and (as with all events) there are LOADS of items from Halloweens past to spend those sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

My Opinion On Him Now: This price is unchanged from the last time he was released, and my opinion on him is unchanged. It’s an awesome combo. The Drive-In alone has one of the best animations in the game. If you don’t already own this one, take a look at the original SIB and think about picking him up.
Also, for the current THOH Event (2016) he has the added benefit of helping you earn more Event currency every 4hrs at the MAG Building.

I just got this out of the yearbook mystery box for 30 donuts and completed the tasks. The prize at the end was especially nice considering the low price for the mutant and the drive-in. (I won’t spoil it.). From the mystery box, if you don’t already have this, it is definitely a must buy! Fun task line, too.
I agree! Now that I’ve gotten it all working it’s one my favorite things in the game! as others have said it’s too bad you can’t line up other vehicles with it.
I have had the Drive In for around two years. I did the quest when I bought it. I never got the Space Mutant nor did my Drive In play movies unless there is an animation glitch in that area, I contacted EA yesterday and they gave me the Space Mutant. But the Drive In still does not play movies and two jobs are locked (Hide In Simpson Basement) and (Sign Autographs) does anyone know how I can get my drive in to work and have jobs and unlock the space Mutant jobs? Idk EA knows what to do. They pointed me hear lol. Any help would be great.
No quest activated when they gave me Space Mutant.

I took your advice and bought the Drive-In Theater and Space Mutant package. I LOVE them! My question at this time is, will the Space Mutant’s quest line continue after the THOH event is over? I would rather take advantage of the Space Mutant’s ability to collect game currency if it does. Thanks again for all the great work you all do on this site.
You will be able to start AND finish the quests after the THOH has ended.
So any opinions on whether I should buy the space mutant (150 donuts) or space marshmallow (100 donuts)?

I would go for the space mutant. It goes with the Open Air Cinema.

You need to complete the whole quest/tasks first, then he becomes available at the end of the quest.
it’s a bit of a long quest/task but it is worth it. 🙂
(Also, if it’s not a spoiler, you also get given something else as well as the space mutant monster at the end of the task) 🙂
I just purchased him but i cant find him in my town?! I only see the movie theatre?! Help!!
Bought it and the only downside I can see is the orientation of the drive-in; the other cars in the game face the wrong way if you try to orientate them toward the screen.
Not a big deal but a shame that you can only have two cars watching the films, unless you want the other people watching it through the back window 😄
Seriously. I was planning a big drive in with a bunch of cars from the game then man was I disapointed to find that out. Stil like it but that is poor planning on someone’s part.
I agree, it would be nice if the cars faced in that direction, an idea could be to place the cars in a line to kind of give the effect that they’re driving up to the drive in, and you could place it next to the Gogoplex (sorry if Gogoplex is spelt wrong?) or the noise arcade,Aztec theatre etc to kind Of make a fun little arcade type area with the cars ‘driving’ up to it. 🚗🚕🚙 not exactly the same, but it’s a good plan B. 😀. 🌸🌟🐱
