Halloween 2016 Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 1 Large Mausoleum

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields!  Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle.  Just like October in every other suburban town in America, no?

The Halloween Event is in full swing on our devices and it’s full of creepy decorations, buildings and characters…all designed to get us into the Halloween spirit!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Clapboards (ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg) to unlock each prize!

The First Act 2 Prize is awarded at 6,050 ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg is the Large Mausoleum, because sometimes Small Mausoleums just won’t do…

So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 6,050 ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg you’ll automatically be awarded the Large Mausoleum and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.

The Large Mausoleum does not come with a questline (other than the initial one telling you to unlock it).  Nothing to help you earn more ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg…just unlock the prize and move on.  It does have a little dialogue from Marge that’ll popup when built….

Marge: Are there modern mausoleums?  I really miss “Ask Jeeves!” right now.

Here are some quick facts about the Large Mausoleum:

  1. Monster couch price is different that the one on the Scene 2 Calendar.

  2. P.S. EA, give us more kinds of bridges. And make the cobblestone tiles convert to bridges over water so we can continue our theme throughout an area.

  3. I agree with others on here… a covered bridge that doesn’t go over river tile. WTF?!? Fix that EA.

I’m really liking all the craftables and prizes; they’re all consistent along the theme, which I love.
I’m creating a Victorian kinda old SF in my game.
The townhouses from the future event actually fit well around a town square area.
And, if you got it, the cathedral fits perfectly.

  4. I was really looking forward to the covered bridge. What a let down , how hard would it be to make it actually go over water. I’m very disappointed. fix it EA.

  5. The Covered Bridge? Brilliant, EA…have a covered bridge that you can put across water…making it NOT a bridge, but a covered building 😉 LOL

  6. Well the #4 The Covered Bridge is a bit of a bust! What good is a covered bridge that doesn’t allow you to put it over water?! 🎃

  7. Is the CBG task visible?

  8. Anyone notice an issue with boardwalk tiles where you can’t drag them once they are placed? I can put one in storage and pull it out and can drag it then but once I place it, it’s stuck there.

    • Boardwalk tiles have always been like that to me. You place them like roads or pavements. If you want to move them you need to first delete them (put them in storage) and then place them where you want them to be.

  9. Are you going to have a post on the Gil deal?

  10. I feel like my neighbors have more buildings that are capable to be “recorded” and for me its the same 7ish building. Im freemium and i have all freemium buildings on display. For example i can record my neighbors moes tavern, but no ever records mine. Anyone else with a similar issue

    • People may avoid your Moe’s Tavern, Springfield Elementary, City Hall and Precinct out of habit as they do not want to potentially vandalize your town. You may not have a lot of foot traffic for who know why. I made sure to put a bunch of buildings close by so people could record them (purple houses, Zenith buildings from SuperHeroes 2 event, and others). Usually when I come back most of these are recorded. Remember, if people have a lot of friends to move through, they want to find those buildings quick and move on.

      • Ill keep that in mind. Does anyone exactly what buildings can be recorded so i can just group em close for event? I understand the proximity part but im at level 101, all possible buildings on display and some of my neighbors who are wayyy passed me level-wise, wayyyy more buildings has like everything tapped out. Maybe i dont have the most neighborly neighborinos 😔

    • Keep in mind that your friends are dropped into your town right by the MAG Office; the buildings closest to that are where most people are going to tap. Is your Moe’s Tavern a bit away from there, by chance?

  11. I’m close to getting the third prize now! I have the first two, I’m quite a fan of it lol.

  12. I was wondering where that job for CBG came from. Thanks!
