We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Best THOH Segment Bracket Battle.
Below you’ll find all 81 beloved THOH segments that will have aired in the first 600 episodes of The Simpsons up to and including this seasons’ THOH XXVII. The segments have been organized into three conferences based on their sequential appearance in each THOH anthology: first, second, or third segment. The segments will battle each other in four rounds of head-to-head-to-head matchups, that we hope produce the most debate in the comments below. We’ll do our best to convince you of each segments’ merits, but it’s ultimately up to you. Twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays over the next three weeks, we’ll post the matchups and your votes over the next 48 hours will determine which segments advance to the next round, until we’ve crowned “The Best THOH Segment” on Monday October 31st.
Today, we begin Round 3 Voting for TSTO Addicts’ Best THOH Segment Bracket Battle. Details about this Bracket Battle can be found at Addicts Bracket Challenge: Best THOH Segment Round 1, Part 1
Round 2 resulted is some pretty close matchups. The Raven, Homer3, and It’s the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse were all separated by fewer than 100 votes. The Shinning was the only segment with a relatively easy victory, winning by nearly 600 votes over the next segment in its matchup.

“Terror at 5 1/2 Feet” and “Time and Punishment” was my hard choose. In the end I went with “Terror at 5 1/2 Feet”. The other 2 well all good chooses had a definite winner for me.
Definitely tough choices.
Picking between The Raven and Citizen Kang is too hard. Citizen Kang is a true golden classic but The Raven as read by James Earl Jones brilliant!

I find it fascinating that THOH V made it this far in it’s entirety. I’m glad to see all these segments making it so far. Can’t wait to see the final match-up!

my regret is I didn’t think to make a cafepress page and sell them myself lol
In a recent (within the last 18 months) one-shot Kang & Kodos comic book from Bongo Comics, there were actual “Vote Kang” and “Vote Kodos” bumper stickers bound into the centerfold that could be removed and used. I did not remove them, however. I’ll try to find where I stashed that comic, and see if I can either get a picture or a scan of it that I can upload here.
Gosh, and I thought LAST round was tough…..bummed (but not surprised) that “I Know What You Diddly-Iddly-Did” and “Homer3” are out as the former involves a long-running joke in my family and the latter blew my mind when I was little (despite it already being in syndication – I wasn’t born until two years after it aired). My prediction is that it’ll be down to The Shinning, Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace, and Citizen Kang in the finale, with The Shinning coming out on top (though I seriously love NOET). All brackets and no Shinning as the winner makes Mini something something….
