Halloween 2016 Prize Guide: Act 2, Prize 4 The Covered Bridge

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields!  Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle.  Just like October in every other suburban town in America, no?

The Halloween Event is in full swing on our devices and it’s full of creepy decorations, buildings and characters…all designed to get us into the Halloween spirit!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Clapboards (ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg) to unlock each prize!

The Fourth Act 2 Prize is awarded at 30,300 ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg is the Covered Bridge, because every event needs at least 1 disappointing prize…

So let’s take a closer look at this Fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Once you’ve collected 30,300 ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg you’ll automatically be awarded the Covered Bridge and you’ll see this message popup:

And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later.  Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.

The Covered Bridge does not come with a questline (other than the initial one telling you to unlock it).  Nothing to help you earn more ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg…just unlock the prize and move on.

Here are some quick facts about the Covered Bridge:

ico_priz_thoh2016_coveredbridge_lg
Size: 7×3
Build Time: instant
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +200
Earns: Nothing, pure decoration
MAG Points When Placed: 225ico_cur_thoh2016_magpoints_lg
What Does it Do?: Based on most of your comments, and my own observation…this is a pretty disappointing prize.  Instead of telling you what it does do (it’s a decoration) I’d rather tell you what it doesn’t do.  It doesn’t go over water.  So it’s a bridge to nowhere, from nowhere…covering nowhere.  It’ll end up in storage for me…

And there you have it, the details behind the Covered Bridge, the fourth Halloween Act 2 prize!

What’s Next?

monstercouch_menu Monster Couch- Awarded at 41,700ico_cur_thoh2016_clapboard_lg.  This will be the next prize we breakdown in the prize guide post.

So that my friends is the full breakdown of the fourth Act 2 prize!

What do you think of the Covered Bridge? Have you unlocked it yet? Where have you placed it?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I’ve seen on the Flickr album of this site someone having TWO covered bridges, that both oddly seem to be part above water.
How is it possible to have two of them let alone make it cross water?

  2. It’s really hard to get the covered bridge in a good design. For all you others struggling. Here’s something I’m working on.

  3. Please help am locked out my game can’t remember what email I gave when I started my game sent for my information was told my details sent to my email checked all but nothing there I’ve missed a day play don’t want to miss any more

  4. The covered bridge goes nice on a dirt road and with some clever tree placement can at least give the appearance that it crossing a river. I like it now that I’ve played with it a while.

  5. Bridge was a `must have’. Looks great as stable on a farmyard. The couch is nice in the front garden of a home like that of Muntz, haha.

  6. Yeah, I was quite disappointed that it doesn’t go over water. AND, it’s the wrong size, such that it doesn’t line up (either length, or width-wise) with roads (cobble or regular). Otherwise it looks cool. Sad though, unless I can find some way to “fake” it’s alignment with roads/rivers, in to storage it goes. 🙁

  7. My first thought was that it was a little small but other than that I didn’t really have a strong reaction to it. Another prize, another event. Uh oh, am I approaching burn out!?!? It’s like I’m in a loveless marriage going through the motions. Lol 😊

  8. I was excited about this prize when I first saw it. I thought it would be some nice and big and in proportion to the houses. Alas no, it’s undersized, heck the couch is almost bigger than it! I was thinking it to be like a bridge a car would go through not a foot bridge, and it’s even too undersized for that!
I love this game but thungs like this really throu me. We get MASSIVE buildings ie the ‘Ned centre’ which is over perportion and then ones that should be larger are way too small. Everything should be based around the size of the houses. If you put the couch next toma house its half the damn size of the house, noone in the world has a couch in their house half the size of it.
    EA PLEASE GET THIS RIGHT!

  9. Worst. Item. Ever! So I noticed this “bridge” has a “Danger! Do not enter” sign blocking the entrance. It’s not even a useable bridge! Not that characters would be able to walk through it anyway. It’s basically a big dead end. And I tried to match up the bridge’s cobblestone path with the town square. It’s a different kind of cobblestone! Huge fail all around on this one!

  10. Does anyone else noticed that they are not getting all the MAG Points they should be?

    • Similarly, I’ve crafted everything that I can that awards MAG Points (level 11 or 12/when I can craft the Mortician Carriage) so I can’t earn any more points from crafting, despite still needing them to level up. Does this mean I just have to invest Obols into levelling up, or is there something I’m missing?

  11. Just got Death, and he’s voiced too!

And apparently he can fight giant monsters, pretty awesome!

  12. I never expected it to be anything other than a decoration, so I was not disappointed by this prize. I quickly found a way to incorporate it into my design and am quite happy with how it looks.

    • I like the bridge as a decoration and I am not unhappy with it. And I love the yard sale idea for the couch! Thanks!
