It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky, there are monsters everywhere to battle and (as with all events) there are LOADS of items from Halloweens past to spend those sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Halloween Flashback Bundle 3, Wailing Wall, Helter Skelter or Shauna to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your Springfield…
Leaves Stores November 4th
Items: Flashback Bundle 3
Contains: Bad Dream House, Cemetery & the Raven (you can buy each separately if you already have 1 or 2 of the items. Pricing varies)
Donut Cost: 85 Donuts.
Bonus %: None
Earns: Bad Dream House- $500, 45xp/24hrs; $260, 26xp/12hrs (the Raven is an NPC)
What Do They Do: Bad Dream House and Cemetary earn income, while the Raven is an NPC (so it’ll just hop around your Springfield). Bad Dream House is the best of the bunch IMO, it’s animation is fantastic. You can see this animation if you send the Babysitter Bandit on a task there, or send Raphael to check the plumbing (however he’ll only go there if the Bad Dream House is the closest building to him. So to get that animation to appear…store the Googolplex and replace it right next to the Bad Dream House. Then you can move it back once Raphael goes on his task there)
Should I Buy Posts: Bad Dream House, Cemetery, The Raven
My Opinion On them Now: The Bad Dream House alone makes this bundle worth the 85 donuts..pick it up if you can.

What Is It?: Non-Playable Character…so just roams Springfield
My Opinion On It Now: This returns from last Halloween…and my opinion on him is the same as it is with all NPCs…if you like it, get it. Otherwise pass. It’s completely useless for game purposes. So this is one you’ll have to get because you like it, and that’s about it.

Character: Shauna
Cost: 90 donuts
Previous Should I Buy Post: Shauna
My Opinion On It Now: 90 donuts for a character isn’t the greatest price, but it’s not bad. Shauna will help with the event (Trick or Treating) and she’s a highly requested character since she’s limited-time. She’s appeared several times in the past, but everyone always requests for her to come back. I like her, I like the buy. I’d grab her again if I didn’t already have her.

It doesn’t appear that wailing walls from previous Halloweens come with the bonus, is that just for wailing walls bought this year?
No they all come with a bonus…back in 2013 we were just starting and I wasn’t as in depth with SIB posts as I am now.
50 donuts for the Wailing Wall???? jeez, last THoH event they gave plenty of those for free just by crafting them

OMG. Actually spent money buying enough donuts to get the combo. What a deal! The Bad Dream House, cemetery, AND the Raven for 85?! HELL YES! I LOVE the day the cemetery and the house look in my town.
I picked up Helter Skelter. I always tapped on it when on other people’s streets.
I jumped on the bundle immediately. Great deal! And then I sent Raphael to the Bad Dream House straight away. It looks very cool all lit up. Poor Raphael is going to be in that house for a while. Now I just have to figure out where to put the cemetery.
My first Halloween event was last year and even though I was freemium at the time I purchased the raven for 30 donuts. That segment, for whatever nostalgic purposes, is my favorite from THOH. However, I had yet to find this site (or I wasn’t a regular, now I check every day) and had no idea that it was a NPC. I didn’t regret it, because I love the segment, that was my first “wtf did I just buy” moment with the game.
I still don’t regret my purchase, but to those of you who have the option for the bundle…. Get it! What a freaking great deal!
I think I’m going to snag this bundle Fri. I like the look of the creepy homes… is the link to the scary house on the hill broken? Because I was trying to see if it’s worth a purchase as it would also be a great addition to my city.
Has anyone else notice that the feral evolved again into feral chimeras? Fat little things at that too…
Had the raven so I didn’t get the bundle. I wanted the BDH and cemetery but couldn’t afford both so I picked up the cemetery! Been wanting it for a longtime. Looks great! Thanks EA!!
I don’t have the option to buy Flashback Bundle 3 either, and tbh, it’s really honking me off that they aren’t prorating the remaining items. I’ve really wanted the cemetary, but I paid 85 or 90 JUST for the dream house, now I have to pay 20 donuts more than the bundle to get the 2 items I need separately. So since I was a good premium person and forked out asap for the house, now I get to pay over double the cost of the bundle for the same items. FML. That really stinks.
Shining bundle or Shauna?
I would pick Shauna. She’s a badass girl, who makes Bart go loopy when he sees here.

I think unless you just have to have the Shining/Shinning bundle I would go with Shauna. I would nearly always buy a character over a buildings/decor, that is unless I had some inner connection to the building. I like the Shinning bundle but I’m not wowed by it. Shauna is a LT character that is often helpful with events.
