It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle. Just like October in every other suburban town in America, no?
The Halloween Event is in full swing on our devices and it’s full of creepy decorations, buildings and characters…all designed to get us into the Halloween spirit!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Clapboards (
) to unlock each prize!
The Fifth Act 2 Prize is awarded at 41,700 is the Monster Couch, because even Monsters need somewhere to sit…
So let’s take a closer look at this fifth prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 41,700 you’ll automatically be awarded the Monster Couch and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.
The Monster Couch does not come with a questline (other than the initial one telling you to unlock it). Nothing to help you earn more …just unlock the prize and move on.

I wish it stayed like the crab, or you could use it like a skin. I like the monster, but the couch… yawn. They could have made it like a bench so characters could sit/lay on it 😊😊
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! At first I was pissed EA wanted more doughnuts with act 3 only 4 days away, a for a grill!!!! So I grudgingly slapped it down in my town. Then more disappointment (aside from the MAG Points which I’m already maxed out on) no event earning currency. So I set everyone to their event tasks, then my weekly railyard and then tried the the grill. How freaking awesome! Best 100 doughnuts ever spent. It turns TONS of yr Springfield into zombies. I mean lots of characters. Don’t wait for the should I buy. Buy it! You’ll totally regret it unless yr really not into zombies.

I’m totally not into zombies. I saw this in effect in a neighbor’s town and, while I could see how cool it was objectively, it’s definitely not something I’d want going on in my town. But, I agree…for zombie lovers, it’s a must buy!

I just unlocked Death. It’s awesome. I’ve been waiting for it too.
Best thing of the event so far.
Put it in my outdoor theater area near some hover chairs. Premium characters can afford to pay for this premium seat to watch Itchy & Scratchy.
I really want to like this thing, I really do. If it had a character task or if it was an NPC I probably would like it. As it is now it is just looks like a couch that is sitting outside for some old reason. Maybe I will try to put in in my dump\recycling area.
What a let down. There’s no really good place for it but if it at least stayed animated when touched I could put it somewhere I guess. It just looks like a couch sitting outside and who puts couchs outside. SIGH.
I put mine in front of my Shinning Hotel works out just nicely for those who what to take a rest before heading in or over to the maze.
Lot of prizes this act are ending up in storage.

Have to say the prizes so far have been a letdown. I am hoping Death makes it all worth it !
Will find a place for it, not sure where. I do have a question re crafting and MAG. I’m at level 13 for crafting. The haunted stables and shipwreck will give me a total of 560 MAGs. Now at MAG 17 where I have 5095/5270. Will the additional 560 MAG points get me to the medieval gate upgrade? Or will I have to spend donuts on something that gives MAG points?

I put it in front of my Tetanus Terminal since I figure putting inside furniture outside fits the hillbilly motif.
