It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky, there are monsters everywhere to battle and (as with all events) there are LOADS of items to spend those sprinkles on!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Honestly, this (in my opinion) is the BEST premium item of the entire event so far. While 100 donuts is a bit steep in price…seriously, it’s awesome. And unless you have a zombie phobia, you’ll regret it if you don’t grab this. The sheer fact it can send 34 characters AT ONCE on a 1hr premium task is awesome….
Freemium players, get this. BUT I will advise you to wait until Act 3 hits if you’re low on donuts…just in case one of the other new premium items to be released catches your eye. Fortunately it’ll hang around until the event is over, so you have some time to make sure you’ll have enough donuts to support the purchase…
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I own it. I love it. But whatever you decide just remember this will be leaving our games soon, so make your final decision before it leaves our games on November 15th…

This is, without doubt, the coolest thing in TSTO. I just love moving that dumpster around and watching the zombie hoard follow. My favorite is putting it next to my makeshift airport runway and watch zombies wander around on the tarmac. Oh man, you just gotta buy this. Trust me. You won’t be sorry.
Alissa, Thanks for the details and the great zombified shots of each character. Credits to EA for such a creative item. I am a fan of zombies movies do this is a natural but for me. I almost want to buy an earlier item with the zombie as NPC but has funny animation of blown apart when tapped. Glad I didn’t. 100 donuts seem to be quite expensive but grateful that EA has been doing a good job in making sure there are plentiful ways to earns donuts. Only grouse is that the jobs are not longer at 2 or 4 hours! Otherwise all good!
The coolest is dragging the dumpster from one end of the town to the other & having 30+ zombies shuffle along after it , them dump it on a populated area like my park area for instance where 20 or so sprinfielders are doing various chores or when sideshow bob is slashing in revenge mode near the zombies , robert offering terwilliger treatments around them ….etc Hysterical offering , well worth the donuts IMHO

I don’t think this is expensive at all, for what it does, especially if you don’t already have a lot of premium skins! Seems like a “must buy” if you like zombies!
Alas, I do NOT like zombies, so it’s a pass for me, although, objectively, I can see how really cool it is. I wish they’d do something like this again, but with a different kind of theme…like maybe bring back the adult Halloween costumes, but using this kind of a model for activating them and making them premium, or, better yet, something not Halloween-related at all.
SANDRA- Great idea. Perhaps make it seasonal so we’d get something similar for our winter event, then maybe Valentines. We could then use them all year round. Btw, I can’t watch Waking Dead or anything zombie related as it creeps me out but I did get the ZS and love it. What I’m having serious problems with are the latest giant flying creepies. Seriously, I can’t bring myself to tap them & only reluctantly do so because of the payout. I’m dreading Act 3’s incarnation😩😩😩…..💜X

Reminds me of the first THOH for TSTO back in 2012 when the zombies from the cemetery bit other Springfielders lol. I’m probably going to get this.
Holy Moly! Was thinking about this purchase for the MAG points alone, hoping a Halloween character would interact with it like Cletus & Space Mutant (❤️️ those jobs❣️). Then I saw zombies in a neighbor’s SF around the trash can. My thought was “no way does the zombie trash can turn SFer’s into zombies, a premium building has to be responsible”. As soon as I was done with visiting neighbors I can here to get the skinny. The info in this post makes me so happy. If my event non-participants weren’t on 24hrs jobs I would have rushed back to my SF to buy it. But I stopped to express my glee about the info & advice in this post. Thanks tstoaddicts! Now back to my SF to burn through 💯 donuts 🍩🍩 faster than the weekend ones I had with my weekend coffee ☕️ this morning 😄.
I had to buy a few bloodmobiles to get enough donuts for this. A few things to note that I haven’t seen mentioned.
– There is no storyline.
– When you turn a character, they instantly turn into a zombie and head toward the sandwich. No one is seen actually eating the sandwich.
– Several of the Springfield zombies are based on scenes from the show and the Zombie Sandwich is obviously Homer’s “spoiled sub sandwich”.
– You have to go through and select each person (like the selected tasks now do) but that’s easy enough.
– Your sandwich will be covered in zombies when you first start but they eventually wander off to nearby places.
I already have 31 out of the 34 characters who can be zombies! I guess Frink, Hank, and Duffman are next! It just had to be the three most expensive characters…

Currently it’s in my factory district next to pharmer-johns pharmaceutical like a drug test gone wrong. So Kearney keeps walking past the Ajax steel mill, either questioning his sexuality or thinking Roscoe will make a delicious meal…
I brought it and love it! Is there a backstory to this zombie sandwich? I was a little disappointed that no questline popped up. I would have missed this cool item if i didnt read about it here.
I think that it would be better if characters walked to the bin and THEN turned to zombies. IT would be better
I do wish the zombie jobs were at least 4 hours long. As it stands I don’t think I’ll be using them that often, but I got it anyway.
By the way, I managed to play a bit early this morning and then got locked out for good – no amount of uninstalling and reinstalling will get me past the Bart screen. Please tell me it’s not just me!

I’ve been considering getting the zombie sandwich, it seems right up my alley. But before I do I’m having a bit of a conundrum, hopefully the addicts can help me out. I’m almost 100% sure I bought the pet cemetery last year but I can’t seem to find it. Not in my town or in my inventory. Where could it be? So here’s my question – is the pet cemetery available for purchase right now? If I already have it, would it be in the store? I’m not seeing it for sprinkles & it’s got me worried it might have disappeared on me. So before I go & try my hand with EA I’d appreciate any advice from all you experts😃 My Halloween area just isn’t complete without it!
Update! I contacted EA & explained my situation. They were kind enough to refund me the 70 donuts! Awesome! Now if the pet semetary ever shows up in store I’m good to go. I’m going to wait to see what else pops up before pulling the trigger on the zombie sandwich.
I’m missing the Town Square that was the first prize in Act 1. EA says their tool sees it placed in my town, but it’s invisible to me… Not in my inventory either. But in your case, if they refunded the donuts the item must have really vanished.

Yes, yes and more yes. I do wish they were 4 hour jobs. Sorry not checking in once an hour. My game keeps freezing up on me which would explain my lack of neighbor visits. Lost income or not I want my town full of zombies when I do check in. Many people will regret passing this up.
I’m a 40% premium player so I’m on the fence about it! It’s certain to work year round? My issue is that most of those characters already earn a premium rate or have a skin that does and I can set them all up at the DMV to be quick about it. Plus, I’m not a zombie person. Now, if it turned them into adorable bunnies or something I’d be all over it so I get why people who like this kind of stuff would be super excited! I’m on the fence! Taking your advice and waiting to see what act three brings for sure! Christmas is my fave time and I really NEED the nativity so I might hold out for that! Great post though!!!!!!!

Instant buy. And for everyone worried about the skins not reverting to premium, just scroll quickly through and choose only non premium characters. I just bought it and thats what I did. It’s a premium skin device for non premium characters there way I look at it.
REALLY gutted that I brought the cemetery, raven, and that house (I forgot the name) bundle yesterday! I REALLY WANT THIS…But I’m stuck at 46 donuts 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I was wondering why this was so much. In the store all it says is “improves vanity.” I was like “why would I spend 100 donuts for some tiny dumpster that only gives me vanity and some mag points which I’m already full on?” Good thing I came here to read about this. They should mention something about this in the store or else people are going to pass on it.
This event is already jampacked with awesome prizes and is been the best Halloween event I’ve ever played . They brought back trick-or-treating in the premium items are awesome ! Zombie sandwich is a “no-brainer ” lol
You’re a grade a moron if you pass this up ..its SO COOL. If there is a way to transfer donuts to friends, I would pass I donuts so everyone to get this .
Really wish the characters would have paid in event currency and switched to cash after the event was over.
I’m the type of person that (if bought) would have to use it, year round, and I don’t want Zombies year round. So I think I’ll pass unless one of two things happens 1. If it goes on sale or in a good bundle deal or 2. Zombie Willie had an axe in his back (via all 3 segments of THOH V) – I doubt they’ll make that change (so that’s my excuse to not getting a decent Xp character earning deal).
Besides 18 of those characters I already have premium skins for (for all #hr tasks) – true 16 remain but… I still don’t want zombies year round.
Tot! You’ll regret it , I’m telling you. Come to the dark side. Lol . I got zombies running around my cemetery/spooky area looking crazy. I just leave my screen on my phone until my battery dies looking at the hoard of zombies. 😉😉
The math is still good but I still am making up excuses why not. Newest excuses: seen it and Zombied characters in neighbors towns and just think -meh. The zombie characters should walk slower, and more importantly when tapped shouldn’t use normal catchphrases (instead wish each character said “Brains!” In their unique character voice 🙂
I do agree with that. I was a little startled when I tapped on the zombie characters and they sounded like their normal-selves. E.A. should have made a couple different groaning zombie sounds or somerhing. Brrrraaains. Lol😉
I see all of the great comments about this item, but I don’t get it. 100 doughnuts seems like a lot of doughnuts for what it does. I suppose if i buy it, I will be pleasantly surprised, but I don’t know if I want to spend the doughnuts then be disappointed. It’s a conundrum.

I got it. I love it. It would be even better if it paid out event currency.
Once I learned I could zombify multiple people at once, this was a must buy. I only wish the Nightmare Pile could let me send multiple kids Trick or Treating. Likewise, I wish the Zwich’s zombie task was 4hrs long (premium or otherwise), as I tend to visit my game about every 4hrs (esp when there is an event on).
Another poster made a good point that it would have been nice if after being zombies, the toons reverted to the same (premium, for instance) skin that they were in, instead of back to default. Yeah, that would have been nice. Shrug.
Still, I’m happy I got this.
