It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields! Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky and there are monsters everywhere to battle. And of course there are loads of new premium items in the store tempting us to spend sprinkles on.
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Gravedigger Billy to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Grave Digger to your Springfield…

Premium
Out of the premium character offerings I like Grave Digger Billy the best. He’s the lowest priced one, and offers the same benefits as the others. And if EA ends up adding a bonus % or income earned to the Cemetery Plot it’ll become one of those “Yes buy it! 100 donut combos”. In my mind he’s a good premium buy.
Freemium
If you’re looking for a premium character from this event, Grave Digger Billy is your best bet. Reasonably priced and offers the same Monster Fighting benefits the other new premium characters offered. So in my mind, this is a good buy if you’re in the market for a new premium character. Especially if they go back and add a bonus % or income earned to the Cemetery Plot.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m picking Gravedigger Billy up. But whatever you decide just remember this will be leaving our games soon, so make your final decision before it leaves our games on November 15th..

Usually its all about the price, but crazy cat lady was in a que of premium chars i had to buy so was willy ( in case ea puts him in a game and they did), for me he was an instant buy. Now im saving my sprinkles for possible black friday sale. Boobarella will have to wait for some future thto.
For some strange reason, Billy refuses to do his 8 hour task. Instead, he simply walks around my town with his shovel. I tried storing and putting back, and moving him to an open block of land, but he still refuses to do it. Any fixes?
Let it play out, he does eventually stop and digs a hole. I’m a bit disappointed in that job as he seems to do more walking then digging.
I would love to have the grave do something😊 I’ve noticed recently that items that used to pay a bonus % no longer do😐
Which ones have you noticed in particular? I haven’t seen any, but I also don’t pay wicked close attention to those sort of things. 😕
I still can’t decide if I want to pick up GDB or not! I only have about 125 donuts currently, but I’m not opposed to buying some if they offer something I really like & I don’t have enough freemium/purchased leftover donuts.
I *did* get CCL/CIL, as I’ve always liked her on the show and it was a fabulous deal. On one hand, I don’t think I’m going to feel tremendous regret in, say, 2 weeks if I don’t see him wandering about my Springfield…but on the other hand, Gravedigger Billy is just plain cool. Argh! Decisions, decisions…
When I nuked my town, (do not recommend doing it… ugh), I started rebuilding by taking everything out of inventory that paid income or had a bonus. If I didn’t care for an item but it paid a bonus, I just hid it behind something. As I went through my inventory, when I was checking items, I found items I had hidden & would have just left in inventory, but they did not have a bonus. Just skimming through, I found Olmec Head, a few character snowmen (I know they didn’t all bonus originally), Rabbit Hedge… I’m also missing a Sumatran Century Flower provides a bonus), that I know there’s no way I accidentally sold.
If the cemetery plot had a multiplier, this would be an instant grab. So I’m holding off until EA adds one, until then Gravedigger Billy is overpriced at 100 donuts. I’ll save the precious sprinkles for Black Friday and get Jimbo 😉

His outdoor task is hilarious. Even if the best one is only for an hour.
Just curious as to how long his (Gravedigger Billy) quest line is since he can fight monsters I am holding off on his quest line until the event is over

Cat lady… house earns cash.
The Cat Lady is one of my favorite characters, but she is always available, and this is limited time. I snapped up the Iguana Lady skin right away, so I thought that wasn’t still available. I love that outfit for her!
I like that is a premium character, i hope is not a skin character because its lame however, it doesn’t excited me that its willi so I’ll pass too. I purchased kang and i love it but i want something similar or better

I couldn’t help but notice that the image above doesn’t show the lantern on the ground, which is actually my favourite thing about this item.
And the bell by the headstone! To signal if someone had accidentally been buried alive, which I guess was a thing in the 19th century.
I’ve decided I’m a bit of a ‘character’ guy (no wise cracks please). So I’ve been buying nearly every character that comes into the game. I got Billy and Booberella without a second thought.
Are we putting our bets on a mini-event after this event? because I am out of the Halloween mood
Since before this event, we’ve had non stop event after event after event, with an episode tie-in “event” mixed in between, I’d say it’s a safe bet… The way EA does events lately though, once this one is over, they’ll probably put us right into Christmas, and make it an 8 week long event lol.
My guess is…this event ends the 15. Right around the 17th you’ll see a two- two and a half week long Thanksgiving Mini Event. (including Black Friday deals from the 25-27. And A cyber Monday deal on the 28th). This will be followed by Christmas starting right around December 6th and running until January 10th. Or they’d start the Thanksgiving event on the 16th, still 2 weeks long. And then start Christmas on the 1st….same approx end date.

What could they do for thanksgiving? Not much tbh
They’ve done a Thanksgiving Event every year since TSTO started. You’ll see re-trends of Thanksgiving Balloons, Turkey Decorations, Puritan Flanders/Sacagawea Lisa/King Sized Homer, likely Mrs. Bouvier will come back to the store. And then you’ll see a few new decorations/buildings..all related to food/plastic surgery/fall and probably 1 new character OR 1-2 new skins. You’ve just got to look, you’ll find loads of stuff they can add. Pretty much anything related to food, eating too much and/or being over weight. Really a lot they can cover…here’s some examples:

Boobarella has a big rack. Billy does not. I would say the choice is easy 😛
Boobarella – is essentially a B star from the 80’s who is still around named Elvira. Look her up she has a cult following. She has a few animations and sticks out while walking around Springfield.
Gravedigger Billy – is a spin off of Groundskeeper Willy I think so essentially he could be considered a clone for Halloween purposes. There is a huge precedence to add bonus percentage to premium bought items like his plot in the past. It takes them a couple months but they do it after a long time.
I like both just cause of the Halloween thing.
I can think of at least a couple of reasons to get Booberella. But seriously Booberella at least can generate additional event currency with her 4 hour task. Billy can fight monsters, but plenty of other characters can do that so unless you let giant monsters build up, he doesn’t help much. Other than that, just get the one you like the most.
I went Billy, cause I think he is funny. His tasks and his personality.

I think the fact that his 24 hour job requires Willie makes it a pass. I have Bare Chested Willie and Use Washboard Abs is one of my favorite animations.
These are my feelings exactly. I like to keep Willie in his Stonecutter great so he’s earning at premium rates whenever possible. Sorry Billy, no sale.
Alissa, I believe the last time you posted about a decoration that did not have a bonus percentage was the gil deal with blinky and the scary dock. After your post came out, EA almost immediately released a patch that added 4.5%. That pretty much proved to me that EA pays attention to this blog. We’ll see if it happens again. Thanks!!!
I was worried jus a skin for Willie but glad to see is new character.. I’m still not sure though. Scared of missing out if something better comes 100donuts is quite a lot!! It seems a better deal than count burns but will have to think about it. lol

Booberella has a 24 hour task that doesn’t require another character. IMHO she’s the better doughnut buy.
Both are good, I just recently picked up both myself. Billy comes with a decoration and Booberella is just a stand alone character, so to me he is only a slightly better buy. *IF* EA adds a % or something to the grave then Billy would for sure then be the better buy. I think it just comes down to which character has the jobs you like better and would use more.
You could buy both and have a pair. Or you could buy Booberella only and still have a pair. Get it? 😉

I believe the “Pacify the Not-Quite-Dead” task happens at the Cemetery Plot. However I may be mistaken since I think Alissa is pretty awesome and almost always right. 🙂

I liked the look of him but wanted to make sure he wasn’t a skin for Willy before I bought him. If they add a bonus to the grave, that would be great, but it won’t stop me from buying it.
He is voiced as well (albeit he sounds just like Willie) so that’s good. I personally think that he is a good purchase and the grave is a welcome addition to the cemetery area along with the other free prizes such as the catacombs and coffins etc.

Ha ha, it has the bell on the grave, I like that. I think I’m gonna have to buy this guy! I’ll be designing a cemetery section to my town after the event so this will be a nice addition. To bad EA didn’t bring back Homer’s grave.
Does the bell ring if you tap the grave? Yeah, that would be awesome!
For those that don’t know, in Victorian times (I think that’s the era) people were buried with a rope out of the grave attached to a bell on the marker or a post….just in case they were buried alive, woke up, and found themselves trapped. Yikes!
I thought the same so I tried tapping the grave as soon as I placed it, nope, no bell ring. :'(
