Should I Spend Donuts On Booberella, The Senile Zombie or the Crazy Zombie?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Halloween in our pocket-size Springfields!  Yes that magical time of the year when our towns turn dark, our water becomes mucky, there are monsters everywhere to battle and (as with all events) there are LOADS of items from Halloweens past to spend those sprinkles on!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Booberella, the Senile or Crazy Zombie to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your Springfield…

Leaves Stores November 15th

Character/Skin: Booberella
Cost: 100 donuts
Previous Should I Buy Post: Booberella
My Opinion On It Now: 100 donuts is a hefty price for a stand alone character.  And honestly, I often forget I have her in Springfield. BUT she does help earn event currency and she does have some fun animated tasks.  So if you’ve been waiting for her to make her return, grab her.  Otherwise save your donuts for something better.

Senile_Zombie_Tapped_Out

Leaves Stores November 10th

Character: Senile Zombie
Donut Cost: 12 Donuts.
What Do It Do: NPC, so basically roams around Springfield.  Animated when Tapped.
Should I Buy Posts: Senile Zombie
My Opinion On them Now:  Meh.  While 12 donuts isn’t a bad price, at the end of the day it’s still an NPC and will add no value to your Springfield.  So unless you have a love affair with Zombies…pass.

Crazy_Zombie_Tapped_Out

Leaves Stores November 8th

Character: Crazy Zombie
Donut Cost: 12 Donuts.
What Do It Do: NPC, so basically roams around Springfield.  Animated when Tapped.
Should I Buy Posts: Crazy Zombie
My Opinion On them Now:  Just like the Senile Zombie…Meh.  While 12 donuts isn’t a bad price, at the end of the day it’s still an NPC and will add no value to your Springfield.  So unless you have a love affair with Zombies…pass.

And there you have it my friends, the breakdown on the three latest returning premium items to hit our stores.

  1. I’ve been wanting Booberella for years, so i snatched her up right away when I saw her. Haven’t had a chance to get her to do many of her tasks that weren’t for her quest, as I have her getting event currency, but she’ll be fun once the Halloween event ends!

  2. I’m so excited to get her finally. I’m surprised that you’d say save your donuts when 3 years ago you guys said it’s a must buy. What’s changed? She’s still 100 donuts. Just curious.

  3. Her 12 hour burn at the stake task still makes me laugh.

  4. Has the formless terror NPC come and gone yet? I caught the disco zombie today but does anyone know about the formless terror?

  5. Maybe I’m tapping with my eyes shut, but I didn’t even notice Boobarella was available

    😮 😕 💀 👻 👽 👾 😈 👿 👹 🎃 🎆 🎆

    🇬🇧 🚬 😃 🎆

  6. Really surprised that Booberella just got a meh (“save your donuts for something better”). Many people have been waiting impatiently for her to return to the game so that we could grab her. Er, not GRAB her, purchase her character.

  7. I would buy booberella only to see her boobs joke in spanish but i don’t think they will be that funny… So i’m probably saving my donuts for christmas/beach hideouts or next year…
    When is the black market?

  8. Booberella is must grab 😈

  9. So I’ve currently got 52 donuts – using only daily tasks and neighbour visits, how likely is it that I’ll manage to get 100 before Booberella leaves the store?

(Even if I don’t get her, at least I’ll have some donuts for Christmas 🙂 )

  10. 4kidsandacatdog

You all do what you want….I’ve wanted BOOOOOOOBS for a long time…I bought her in a snap!

  11. The Zombies are among very few NPCs I actually still enjoy to this day. Every time I come across one of them I tap them, and still laugh at the animation when they explode and scrape themselves together again.

That being said, one of them might be enough, and since there is one for in game money there is probably no need to spend donuts on these, especially for freemium players.

  12. got the zombies. 24 donuts aint much for npcs so why not

  13. My mock Should I Buy of BOOBerella:

    Pros:
-Eye Candy, u get a pair of supple twins in your town.

    Cons:
-Hefty price to pay for cartoon porn

    Verdict:
An auto-buy for pervs who have been waiting for her return from past Hallowe’en events. I’m obviously a gentleman(right…), so i stayed away from this one. No, i stayed away cuz i get better BOOBS on the internet and it doesn’t cost me 100 donuts. Lol.

Not stealing ur job, Alissa, I just wanted to see what it feels like to make a Should I Buy post. Thank you for posting your breakdowns for tsto. 🙂

  14. I snatched Booberella in a heartbeat. I loved Elvira when I was a kid! She actually recently did an interview on the Nerdist podcast. Turns out she’s had a very interesting life and was in the Groundlings with Phil Hartman and Paul Rubens. I was wondering if the Phil Hartman connection was how she worked her parody into the Simpsons.

  15. I got all 3. I had been coveting Booberella in neighbors’ towns since I started playing the game. I normally don’t pay donuts for NPCs but the zombies were so cheap, I couldn’t resist and I do enjoy squashing them when I see them.

  16. Got all three! Wanted Boobarella for soooo long! And happy to finally have a full set of zombies! Yaaas!

  17. Normally, I am not a fan of NPCs that you have to pay for. With that being said, I would say the Zombies are an exception. They are rather inexpensive compared to most other NPCs and their animations are some of the best for NPCs. I get a little chuckle everytime I tap one and it explodes into a burst of blood and bones only to dig itself back out of the ground. I’ve had few of them for years now. I just picked up the senile zombie and the snarling zombie to complete the set.

  18. 100 donuts is an expensive cost for a stand alone character, but the man in me couldn’t not get Booberella (for two obvious reasons). She’s been been towards the top of my must get list for a while. I am glad this Halloween event has allowed me to cross a few things off my list of wanted/missed it items and characters.

  19. Thanks Alissa. I searched and searched but never found that post. Now I’ll stop getting frustrated

  20. Can’t believe their charging donuts for the zombies and 100 donuts for booberella, no way is she worth 100 donuts!

  21. not sure if first comment went through. I am only getting megaphones from a portion of my neighboreenos. Is there a limit to the amount of megaphones from neighbors towns. Or do I maybe have a glitch. I get megaphones from a few of my firt neighbors then it switches to only cash and XP, happened two days now. Pretty sure clapboards i got them from all my neighbors. anyone else run into this.

    • There is a limit of 90 friend actions (30 friends times 3 actions/friend) that pay megaphones. Well, actually in my game for whatever reason the limit appears to be 89 actions – the last neighbour pays only 10 megaphones, 5 each for the first two actions… So, it is normal (unless the limit you notice is much lower).

  22. is there a limit to megaphones from neighboreenos .
i get them at the beginning of my neighbors towns but a bit through i am only getting cash and xp?
anyone else not getting megaphones from neighbors

  23. Upon looking at Booberella here, her look reminds me of Roger from American Dad -lol (but still, pass for now) 👽

  24. When a character or item you buy says “generates event currency” like Boobarella, does it only apply to THOH or other events also?

  25. I had to snatched up all three. 12 donuts for an npc is on the cheap side and with donuts easier to come buy. I didn’t want to pass up on the chance to get these classics I missed originally because I didn’t have the donuts.

  26. I still haven’t bought Booberella – I don’t think she is an important character for the series, and don’t think I’d want her wondering around all year long.

IF they released her at the beginning of the event I probably would have gave in and got her But being released at so late of the event seems cruel and not worth it. (Maybe next year EA, maybe a discount)

  27. alex - aabcampos2

Crazy Zombie is really crazy! He has 5 toes…..

  28. There was a zombie dog that was for purchase with Cash for like 50,000 money. Does the same thing as the zombies do and explodes.

  29. The zombies should have cost money not donuts.

    • Pretty sure they came with the premium cemeteries you had to buy with donuts, so a lot of people would be ticked if they gave them away for cash (mind you, I think that was also the case with the dog, but I could be wrong).
