It’s Turkey Hunting season in Springfield! Gather the masses to track down the elusive Bigclaw!
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Homer’s Chiliad and the Fire Department before it), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the fun Camping/Hunting/Thanksgiving inspired prizes and be the best darn Bigclaw Hunter you can be…
Before we get into the walkthrough there are a couple of things I want to point out…
1) You have to be at Level 5 to see this event. So it’s basically open to ALL Tappers.
2) Pelts (
) do NOT carry over to the next part. So if you over collect for part 1, it will not carry over to part 2. You’ll start part to back at 0 Pelts. (at least this is how it worked for me today…) However, you can stagger, so you’ll get a head start on the next part if you won’t need quite as many Pelts as you can get.

Part of the Mutants Character Collection..
And you can tap him 3 times/day for Cash, XP or Pharmaceuticals (similar to how the Leprechauns work..only they don’t drop pills, and there’s no restriction on how often you can tap the Leprechauns)
And that’s it! All there is to the main prize track for the 2016 Thanksgiving, Most Dangerous Game Event!

Today I finished the quest line of the event
Anyone having trouble with Bigclaw? I tapped him twice then lost him. Found him hours later and tapped a hundred times and no result. ???
You can only tap him 3 times/day to get XP/Cash/Pharmaceuticals.
He never disappeared or delivered anything after the first two taps (didn’t notice any items at that time either). Tried storing and I could keep tapping but to no avail.
In my store the mutant plant has a donut cost of 45 but give a refund of 45 donuts so a net cost of zero donuts? Is this right ? I mean with the bonus it seems free? Is this right?

Is it the Pear looking guy? If so, I am pretty mad. I spent the 45 donuts on him when he first came out.
It seems like a tomato head with a body that seems a tree with leaf at the place of hands it was craftable during the terwillinger event.

Howdy Tappers.
Err…did I miss a post about Bigclaw? Once I began the Flush out Bigclaw stage I got a pop up that he will appear after “rescuing” animals. I tapped 3-4 and Lo! He appeared. Then another pop up to tap him 3 times. Like Mongo from a the Wild West, tapping Bigclaw turns him red, flashing and off he runs! Only to POOF after the third tap. The ensuing pelts scrolled too quickly for me to catch how many were awarded, but it was more than one. And I have gotten him twice so far.
I am guessing this will be Bigclaw’s post event mini game, except substitute pills for pelts. Haven’t seen anyone else post about this, and have reread the event posts. But if indeed this has been covered feel free to delete or omit this comment Alissa.
When I got the BBQ pig…..It allowed me to buy Pet Mutant Plant for 45 donuts (with 45 rebate)

Glad it’s available for everyone, and free too. I think it was part on the Monsanto event, since that involved mutant GMOs invading Springfield. Nice to see EA giving away the NPCs for a change.

Daily Task was to complete 15 character tasks.
Tried to send Homer on his 3 hour Assemble Bear Suit task and instead sent him on a 4 hour Smash Mutant task.
And Homer is one of the few characters that one can not Stire and Rettrieve to correct such an “Oops”.
Okay, does anyone else find it odd that when you tap on animals to rescue, the snake will coil up and vanish, the bunny will sit up and vanish BUT, the turkey EXPLODES in a puff of smoke and you have feathers floating down?
It’s definitely amusing that “rescuing” the turkeys seems to explode them, and it’s the result of EA repurposing animations from previous events, likely to save time/effort and keep the app size down by not adding new animations.
The turkey is from Thanksgiving 2015, when the event was all about eating turkey and tapping them collected drumsticks so it made much more sense then that they “popped.”
You might notice some snakes get a telltale ring of stars around their heads when you tap them because they come from Whacking Day, and the bunnies are from Easter.
Not bad for me cause I jumped the event of Easter and whacking day so it’s nice to see the animation
Once you reach the tapping wild animals stage, you can click on the Pelt on the task sidebar and then click on “Do it” to have the game take you to an animal. If you don’t have any more in your town, a pop up will say so. I was having trouble finding them (especially the snakes), so this really helps!
so, no getting more pelts for Bonuts, after getting all prizes?

Some food for thought if you are writing Sib for wildlife sanctuary. Can you include your thoughts if we shld also get Springfield Falls? I wanted to get it due to donuts rebate then I saw a similar and colorful version as a prize.
The Sanctuary is a prize..so no SIB will be done on it. Since it’s awarded for free as long as you participate in the event.

My bad. I was thinking of an updated Sib for Springfield Falls. Wanted your thoughts on whether we should buy the falls as the sanctuary and falls look similar. That’s all right no need to reply. Asthetic deco items which we can decide we like it or not. Believe that’s what you’d advise. Thanks!
I always wanted the Springfield falls so I bought them with the rebate and I placed them near the sanctuary and it fits nice because it is similar to the iguazu falls so they fits both nice in my nature area

An SIB is always written for premium building/character combos; you can always count on Alissa to post them. The more time sensitive things like the event introduction and run through, Turbo Tapping, crafting (when it’s involved in an event,) etc are always posted first because they are of greatest need for the majority of players.

Will extra pelts carry over from one prize leven to the next? In the past, with some events if you collected enough currency to obtain the next prize the counter would reset to zero. For example, if you need only 20 pelts and you collect more than that from several characters at once, the extra currency would be lost. I’d rather plan a little bit ahead than tie up some characters for three hours if their payout gets wasted…

Pelts do NOT carry over.
Once animals start roaming, after you have the RV, you can click on them for pelts.
Animals seem to generate every ten to twelve minutes, making this series of quests a silly obtainable. 6:45 local time, I have 75 of 190 required for the Animal Sanctuary. I should achieve it within twelve hours.
So, plan accordingly. Stagger sending characters, or push through and get it done.
Must admit my town was a mess, until the Halloween event, I organised my town to make room for it and now have some space for a forest and the Thanksgiving event prizes, still work to do but already have a place for the Christmas event and 250 donuts for black Friday smiles all round.

So this is a first for me, although ive been reading about this being fairly common…every time i attempt to enter your town as well as my other neighbors, it knocks me out of the game. Worked perfectly for halloween so i guess if it was going to do this to me, now is the time when neighbor visits dont count towards the prizes. Hoping this is fixed by Christmas, if not, i will be tapping in your Krustyland.

Most of this Thanksgiving Event looks fun, it just feels odd not to see the return of The Simpson’s pet turkey, Sacagawea Lisa, Puritan Flanders (I don’t care for NPC’s, but perhaps EA has thought of a reason why to keep one in the game this time) 😉

It’s nice they offer a way to get currency for Springfield Heights, my neglected area, as I just can’t stand logging in every five minutes to tap things.
More nice if they unlock the land on the Springfield heights area, I’m completely out of land at the moment and I am forced to place my buildings everywhere with no design or project that is stupid because there is tons and tons of squares of potential land locked in that area
I saw the Black Friday deals on a spoiler site. I will NOT reveal the details (as per this blog’s rules), but if what is currently posted there is REALLY ALL that will be there on Black Friday , I can honestly say that this year has the worst, most disappointing Black Friday TSTO deals EVER!!!! The last 2 years were MUCH BETTER!!!!

I, for one, like NPCs, but really do hope it’s a character. C.H.U.M could have a task to skip around with Martin, an Unanimated one to attend Show-and-tell at school, and maybe a task to dance with Martin at Prom?

Do you still have Wide Guy in your census? If you do, it is town somewhere. Is it in the store to purchase again? Make sure to check the whole inventory which on the screen when you first open the box, not just the categories.

I’m not a big Thanksgiving fan and I didn’t play much of Thanksgiving 2015. I’m kinda a Lisa person when it comes to animals. But that Wildlife Sanctuary with its rainbow will fit in perfectly with my nature area. I have to muster up my intolerance of guns and I guess move forward. Don’t get me wrong, if it’s for survival I’m all in, but shooting willy-nilly gives me the willies. Just sayin’.

Looks like a new one at the end of the list IMO, but I could be wrong, I don’t have most of the robots yet.

Thank you for the walk through! I hate NPC’s with a passion, but I’ll still do the whole quest. It’s Thanksgiving! My most favorite holiday (you don’t have the candy gimmies from Halloween, and there’s no present gimmies from Christmas. It’s all love and family)
