It’s finally Turkey Day here in the US! And you know what that means…Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Apple and Pumpkin pie, football, stretchy pants and insane sales at the mall!
You may notice things a little quiet around here today (you can always check out the details of the Thanksgiving (Most Dangerous Game) Event here) as we take the day to celebrate the holiday with our families.
However, we couldn’t let a day dedicated to being thankful go by without a special THANK YOU to YOU…our AMAZING readers! Previous Posts: So, when these were first released they were free as part of the Thanksgiving questlines. Sacagawea Lisa in 2013 and Puritan Flanders in 2014. So previous posts would just refer to their questlines as they pertained to the event and how you unlock them.
My Opinion on them Now: 65 donuts for two premium skins for regular characters isn’t a bad price, IF you don’t already have premium skins for them. Otherwise I’d pass on these two. I almost always forget I have them
King Size Homer Bundle: King-Sized Homer & Work from Home Station
Donut Price: 110 Donuts Combined, or 60 Donuts Each
What Do They Do?: King-Size Homer is now a Premium Skin for Homer, with some hilarious animated tasks. The Work From Home Station is a decoration that King-Sized Homer will use, however it does not offer a bonus % or earn a payout.

My Opinion On Them Now: King Size Homer was free last year, he was a Thanksgiving Prize, so it’s frustrating that he’s now premium. I do enjoy this skin and the Work from Home Station, but I think they’re a bit over priced in this combo for what it is/does. So unless you’ve really been wanting King Size Homer, I’d pass on this combo.
Thanksgiving Balloon Bundle: Bart Balloon, Snowball II Balloon, Stampy Ballon & the Grumple Balloon
Donut Price: 80 Donuts
What Do They Do?: Fun Decorations for Springfield. Each earns a bonus %, Snowball II- .50% bonus on all cash and XP; The Grumple- 2% bonus on all cash and XP; Stampy- 2% bonus on all cash and XP; Bart- 2% bonus on all cash and XP. So in the end, 6.5% bonus for 80 Donuts. GREAT donut to bonus % ratio.

My Opinion On Them Now: I’ve always liked the balloons, they make great decorations at various places in Springfield..and they just remind me of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This is a GREAT price for a 6.5% bonus return…I’d pick them up. And you can purchase multiples.

My Opinion On Them Now: I’ve always liked this combo and my opinion remains unchanged. And with the rebate it’s one of those combos that becomes 100 donuts or less. That are a too good to pass up But with the recent Casino Event AND the Casino that you can get with Johnny Tightlips it does bump it down. So if you already have a bunch of casinos..pass.
Piggly’s Super Smorg w/ Mrs. Bouvier
Donut Price: 140 Donuts, 45 Donuts Back, Net 95 Donuts
What Does it Do: Typical Building/Character Combo

My Opinion On It Now: I couldn’t imagine Springfield without Mrs. Bouvier. So I like this combo…and her tasks are pretty amusing. And that price, with the rebate, it becomes less than 100 donuts for a premium character/building combo. Grab it!
Heimlich Machine
Donut Price: 60 Donuts
What Does It Do: Animated decoration, that Puritan Flanders (from image above) has a task at. Also earns a 2.5% bonus on all cash and XP.

My Opinion On It Now: HILARIOUS if you have Puritan Flanders, and didn’t spend donuts for him. Otherwise, I’d pass.

My Opinion On It Now: Meh. Good buy at 20 donuts for 2% bonus, but it’s still just a sign. So you may want to pass…

Alissa, thanks as always for the detailed prize breakdown and your opinions, which mostly matters in my decision to buy or not buy. Was on the fence for Mrs. Bouvier. When I saw your SIB post, and above, I decided if I am going to get one premium item this whole month (including Black Friday sale), I will get her. With 4 hours to spare, I bought her. Hilarious tasks.
I also love how the Piggly Building looked like when I visited neighbours, so happy that I now can proclaim I have one too!
P.S. Still holding on to spare donuts for the day when Duffman is available at a discount!
P.S.S. There’s a hot spring decoration. I liked how it looked but do you know which character uses it, other than the recently released Grant Connor? Had wanted to buy then Mrs. Bouvier came along so changed my mind!

Was going to get Pow wow casino but I’m only 1 donut short of Springfield gorge which seems cool just for Homer task and half price. Then with with 5 more bonuts I’ll be able to buy Rancho Relaxo
Keep in mind, the final price is from rebate, not discount. In other words, you need to have enough donuts to pay the gross price, not just enough for the net cost.
You might have already been factoring that in, but I thought I’d mention it, just in case you haven’t noticed that bit of info in Alissa’s post.
