Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
It’s snowing in Springfield and that can only mean one thing…Winter has arrived!
Act 2 of the 2016 Winter Event hit our devices yesterday and with it arrived, not only new pagans invading our pocket-sized Springfields, but a whole new questline to work our way through!
As was mentioned on the rundown post Act 2 runs until December 30th, and you’ll need Homer and Lisa and a variety of others free for a a bunch of 6s tasks to get things started.
Remember, the questline is there to guide you. So when you get stuck on something, or haven’t unlocked something, just follow along with the questline and it’ll take you through everything you need to do to complete the second Act and unlock everything you need in order to play properly.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just what happens when Springfield goes Pagan…

At this point you’ll be awarded Satyr Willie
If you did NOT finish the Act 1 questline, in particular Yule Love It Pt. 3 you’ll trigger it at the start instead of the above two quests. You’ll see this instead:
Again, these two will trigger INSTEAD of Like a B.O.S and A Happy Meal if you did not finish them during Act 1. You won’t see both.

And that finishes the questline…for now. Until Dec. 21st when it’ll continue, and new items will unlock…

gaaaah. i play as often as i can between 12hr shifts and sleep, i havent even unlocked the pit yet. at this rate i might not even unlock the skin for lisa… uuuuuuggggggghhhhhhh. >:( *pfft
Martin’s task of showing Lisa his ice castle is in my book as an uncompleted task. Shouldn’t it be optional, like most tasks are that require doughnuts? Are they really going to make us buy it so we can clear it out?

Is there any kind of Easter egg attached to the “learn about Christmas” job that most of the springfielders have? I tried getting them all into the library with lisa but blew it at the end by tapping on the library accidentally, trying to decide if it is worth another try….

My game has been glitching like crazy.. not a lot of stuff coming up. Is the gnome box supposed to go back to Level 1 in Act 2? I also somehow ended up with 2 spaceships.
I’ve got a new one week wonder movie set going that I call Fire Island. I hope the wicker man lights up, it will be a great addition.

The antlers icon is gone again. I had the same problem i n act 1. Now î act 2 i had it for one day, then gone. A glitch maybe?
No it triggers at different amounts collected. (of course it won’t be antlers now since act 1 is over..)
The antlers changed to the brooch icon for a day, then the brooch icon was used for a quest and the antlers returned, now the antlers are gone also. Don’t get it….
I have antlers back I use to find pagans in my town. Much easier then without it as of yesterday.
I’ve been stuck on “Build Moe’s Tavern and make Homer binge on chicken fingers” for days. I built Moe’s years ago and Homer has binged multiple times. I have closed the app and have gone to Krustyland, and nothing seems to fix it. Anyone have advice?
I’m having the same problem!
Try storing Moe’s and then exit the game. Hard boot your device then go back to the game and get Moe’s out of storage. If that doesn’t work, make sure you have at least 2 gigs of free space on your device, not SD card, and if you have an Origin ID, uninstall and reinstall. If those don’t work, you’ll have to contact EA.
You have to click on the quest line with to launch homor to binge, not the moes location. I think it is only 6 seconds. Then sayter Willis will appear if the other part is done too. I had the same problem.

Finished Act 1 with about 36 to go (got some bonuts too!) and now about 8000 brooches away from the 3rd prize for Act 2 so think I’m doing okay. Can’t wait for the calendar to provide that extra reassurance! So helpful – thank you all!

I love this Event. As a non-christan, it is nice to see other beliefs get some air time. I am sorry itmhas offended so many, and I know that even for the origins of Candlemas and Pagan beliefs EA has strayed from the truth.
That said I have lost count of how many tv and movies have strayed, stretched, or outright misrepresented Pagan, Wiccian, and other life practices/beliefs/religions. I long ago stopped expecting non-practicioners to accurately portray them.
All that said, I am sad so many have not been able to enjoy this year’s Event, and to restate; I personally love it.
PS: i don’t expect anyone to agree with my reply, but I really wanted to stand with any others that like/love this Event as well.

Back to Act 1; reeeeeeeally happy that I didn’t stockpile payout from Willie’s and Cletus’. I was 100% bonuts. Thanks for the tip, Addicts!
I laughed at the concerns about event being anti-Christian with the first act. The second act–with the misrepresentation of pagan beliefs, collecting pentagram brooches, and the overt references to satanism–feels like they crossed a line from a playful tease about the origins of Christmas traditions and into outright antagonism against Christmas. I can’t defend it anymore. I’ll still play daily (jpritchie57) and get the prizes, but this event really is a terrible misfire.

I am just wondering did my post, that was right about here, did it cross lines you found too inflamatory or something along those lines? It was not meant to be. So, I am asking you so I know in the future how not to get my post deleted or held out or whatever the correct term.

I know what you mean about the prizes, but looking at them they’ll all go into storage, mostly because they are rather dumb and unimaginative. I have no need to play except for Maggie’s star outfit. I certainly hope she has some cute outdoor tasks because if not I’ll kick myself for putting any energy into this event. And do you think that kiosk thing she gets will need to be out to use her? Or will I be able to store it away too?

Thanks for all the information! Do you have any idea why almost all my characters have a 6 sec. task ‘ learn about christmas’? It’s rather irritating when assigning tasks.
It’s part of the quest line for Act II… once you DO it for a handful of townspeople it will go away.
Which part of the questline? I don’t see it listed in the sequence in the main post.

Patric – Please share your secret! It’s driving me nuts! I’ve sent everyone in town (which is not easy when it’s a 6 second task), except for the ones earning fingers & books – which I suspect is where I failed). Do I have to assign certain characters in a specific order? Do I have to spin around 3 times and click my heels while doing so? Help me Obi Wan Kanobi, you’re my only hope!
Not sure how much I can help. There is no order…just ENOUGH of them completing the task, depending on where you started. Read this part again, and figure out where you went wrong…right?

I’m surprised you find it irritating…it didn’t keep the unemployment office from working properly (like yellow tasks do) and you can make a lot of quick money from it…just keep sending 6 or 7 characters on that task over and over again (if you have nothing else to do, like when you’re just sitting there watching television or something).

What is the (going from memory) 6s ‘Learning about Christmas’ task about?
It was from the beginning of the event I think when Lisa makes everybody go to the library to learn about the Pagan origins or some crap. Now it’s permanently stuck in the task list and makes it impossible to send people on jobs quickly. Constantly have to scroll down to tap anything but that stupid 6s task.
Just use the unemployment office…since it’s not a yellow task, it doesn’t interfere with that. And you can use it to make a lot of cash quickly, if you just keep sending six or seven characters on that task over and over again. 🙂
Funny questline, prizes quite ok too, I like the event.
Is there a hidden prize for the 6s “read about christmas” jobs?
It’s OK. I know traditional Christmas has been done before, but what is wrong with tradition?!
