Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The snow is falling in Springfield, which can only mean Winter has arrived in our pocket-sized towns! And is in full swing on our devices.
In a change of pace, this Event is broken up into just 2 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Brooches (
) to unlock each prize!
The First Act 2 Prize awarded at 5,200 is the Devil Snowman, because Willie needs something to keep himself out of jail…
So let’s take a closer look at this first prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 5,200 you’ll automatically be awarded the Devil Snowman and you’ll see this message popup:
And you’ll have the option to place it in your Springfield immediately or store it in your inventory for later. Remember if you store it you’ll have to go back into your inventory to retrieve it.
The Snowman does come with some an short questline and an animated task for Satyr Willie…

Willie: The old gods demand a sacrifice! Bring forth the Devil Snowman, so that Willie may feast upon its icy heart! I mean, I gotta assume the old gods don’t want their main goat Willie going to jail, right?

I know this is off topic, but do you guys think it is worth the donuts for the nativity scene? I know that Pat likes it, but what are some other opinions?
It’s a fun decoration where you can place the entire Simpsons family into a single location. The only other equivalent is the stage where the Terwilliger family can be on/near stage at the same time.
In that sense, it’s rather unique and it’s a permanent fixture in my town (placed right next to the House of Evil).
It has an ok XP percent, but I only display it at Christmas. I don’t actually store it, but I do put it away in a storage area of SH the rest of the year. It’s kinda large, so unless you love it, I think there are better choices…the elf home pays XP and income (the “best buy” of the lot, in my opinion)and takes up 1/3 the space…and it would go with the spirit tree and some giant mushrooms, if you have them. Make a fairy ring somewhere?

Mine is showing Maggie nextt on the Tap Pagans broach, but still shows it on the prize track. I haven’t gotten to The Wicker Man yet on the track.
Did wickerman disappear from the prize progression, or are you referring to the task list? The task ” Collect brooches and unlock star suit Maggie” does ignore the wickerman, but in my game, he is still in the prize progression and must still be won before I can unlock Maggie.
Ohh, now I have a task” Place Sacrifice Your Sheep to Odin” with the Broach counter.
I had the same thing happen, must be a glitch. I collected enough for him and did not have him awarded, at least not yet.
Sorry…more off topic…if anyone is undecided where to put the “hall” from crafting, it works really well as an addition wing, snugged up against the lumber mill ( I have mine coming off the right side). The design and decorations compliment the mill and it looks like it belongs there.

I know what your saying…I get great ideas after the fact, but moving around a whole section for one item is usually not a practical option.

I’m liking this part of the event better than the first act. I should probably be getting Lisa’s skin sometime today or tomorrow,
I have a lot of tasks in my task book from prizes I’ve earned and premium stuff that I have bought. Should I do those tasks before the event ends or can they wait until after the event?
Only worry about the tasks that have exclamation marks next to them. Those are event tasks which will leave when the event is over. Everything else can wait.
I do a massive rune dump every morning and I will be snagging wickerman tomorrow morning. Pretty easy going event.
I am going to get the Wickerman by the end of today. This one has been flying by, but I do have everyone who can help with tasks, even Old Man Winter.
‘Where’s Maggie” has no sound again…going on 3 days now. Come on EA, thought that glitch was behind us.
Already done hard close, Krustyland, and delete/reload…still no sound.
My Maggie game has sound most of the time, but I have gotten in a habit of going to the buildings she can be on in a certain order and I just tap every building she can use. I’ve only failed to find her once in the last two months, because I forgot about the wax museum. 🙂
Great idea, but not sure I could get to all my houses etc in the time allotted ( I have a really big town). With sound, I always find her by doing a sweep and then homing in…now that isn’t working. It seems like she is always somewhere that I just passed over…kinda frustrating. Didn’t start until Act 2, was working fine til I noticed no sound on Monday. Going to try reloading again.
Don’t forget if the time is running out hard close your game and you will only have to wait 5 minutes to find Maggie again instead of 16 hours! Merry Christmas!!

I have found that deleting all the running apps on my iPad then restarting TSTO returns sounds.
Thanks, hopefully will be unnecessary…just reloaded, will check Maggie tomorrow. Just upgraded to 4gb ram on my pad and have 20gb free space, just so I could avoid anymore memory problems….aarrgghh….
I’ve already got Lisa’s skin. Loving this half of the event so far!
Is anyone as close as me? I’m currently about 500 away from the Lisa skin. The second act has been easier for me as I’ve been out of school.
Got the chest of runes this morning…working towards the wicker man. Having the tree, the wiccans, witch burns and king winter has helped a lot…hope to be playing with Maggie by Saturday.
