Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The snow is falling in Springfield, which can only mean Winter has arrived in our pocket-sized towns! And is in full swing on our devices.
In a change of pace, this Event is broken up into just 2 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Second Act you’re tasked with collecting Brooches (
) to unlock each prize!
The fourth Act 2 Prize awarded at 38,350 is Ravencrow Neversmiles, because it’s only fitting that the jazz player would go Goth at some point…
So let’s take a closer look at this fourth prize and just what happens when you unlock him in your Springfield…
Once you’ve collected 38,350 you’ll automatically be awarded Ravencrow Neversmiles and you’ll see this message popup:
A couple of important things with this…you’ll automatically unlock the costume for Lisa once you’ve unlocked the item. However, if you’ve unlocked it while visiting a neighbor or in Krustyland check your inventory when you come back, as Lisawon’t have the skin.
Lisa will become Ravencrow Neversmiles…
And she’s part of the Winter 2016 character collection…

Is there a reason why Ravencrow isn’t a clothing option for Lisa? I haven’t had a side quest after unlocking this nearly a week ago. Is it a glitch?
I’m up to collecting for star suit Maggie but whenever I use the brooch button to indicate where pagans are another option now also appears but doesn’t make any sense. The action says ‘Place sacrifice your sheep to Odin. 0/1’ but there’s no button to click. Anyone else find this?

Just got ⭐️ starsuit Maggie and her first task is….hide in the kwik-e-mart with Marge for 4 hrs??(Buy diapers) Come on EA, we just spent two weeks or more tapping to see the starsuit, and the most common task (4 hrs) is spent non-visible in the kwik-e-mart? ☹️ Bah-Humbug!. Hopefully, the next task in the quest will be visible…not something like: “show off new starsuit to Bart and Lisa at the school” …non-visible…or “show off new starsuit to the barflies at Moe’s”…non-visible. Will hope for a Christmas Miracle like: ” have Maggie do cartwheels all over town in her new starsuit (8 hrs)” … Wheee!
Just got star suit Maggie. Only need to craft Dunk Monk left and then the event is over for me thankfully 🙂

So, because they’re offering a free gift with the purchase of some donuts, it’s a bribe? So, if a grocery store offers a free turkey at Thanksgiving if you purchase $75 worth of groceries, is that a bribe? Does that piss you off, too? Would it be better if EA *wasn’t* offering a free gift with the purchase of some donuts? I truly don’t understand why you’re annoyed by that.
They were offering a free gift because they couldnt extract enough of ojr money just based on donuts alone, so they came up with a pathrtic desperate attempt at a cash grab hoping some would be gullible enough to rall for it and line their pockets. I would have respected them more if they discounted the prices, or even done nothing and kept everything the same. It was a laughable attempt and I feel sorry for anyone who couldnt see theough their greedy intentions.
Also, your analogyndoes not resonqte with me in the least. A grocery stpre that did that would be splving an issue of customer scarcity aa well as lose moneyary value over such a discount. This was more akin to a bank offering a free novelty football phone with no phoneline attached for the “privilege” of depositing your hard earned cash in their slimy hands.

We were never promised Christmas, and people who don’t celebrate Christmas would have been annoyed if it had been a Christmas event.
I’ve been playing but I didn’t realize that I was so far ahead in the prizes. Got Star Snowsuit Maggie this morning. This has been a great event. Just the right amount of challenges to get the prizes. Now I can sit back and take it easy over the weekend since it’s Christmas.

I love Ravencrow Neversmiles!!! I think my favorite skin so far, though the worshiping Ba’al are super nice too. I feel like I have been granted a huge bonus to my favorite, Halloween and Samhain, season! A giant thanks to EA and devs that put the skin together for Lisa.
Now, if they would make similar skins for the new Wiccan ladies, I would be in my own Simpson Paradise. Truly on my way to allowing a Halloween and Goth theme overrun my town, Yippee!

Can someone tell me why the last couple of times I entered my town I was given another cult flying saucer? I now have three in my town and I’m pretty sure I’m only supposed to have one. And that’s not the only duplicate prize I’ve been given. Yesterday I was even told I’d unlocked the Parson again.

Yeah, I just checked my inventory and for some reason I have two extra Parsons in there despite also having him wandering in my town. And I’ve got some duplicate devil snowmen and goat statues.

All in all this event has been ok. Like all the events there is some I like and some I dont. A lot of the dialog I have found amusing so that is a plus and I really like the sawmill and the double decker outhouse

Part of the episode “Smart and Smarter”. I recognised it straight away because it was an episode I had watched recently.
Basically because Maggie becomes Smart Lisa needs to find a new identity and this Ravenclaw Neversmiles is one of the phases she attempts
I wish they’d quit putting 24 hour tasks as part of questline especially when they’re non-visual tasks. I know there’s nothing that requires us to do the quests right away, but I like to complete them as I get them and I hate having to choose between doing that or having a character earn items for the event.
I’m with you. I’m forcing myself to hold off on this questions despite a cluttered screen. I wish these quests related to a prize earned event currency while the event was still in progress.
Yeah, I have several of these queued up now too. I’m going to set them all off Xmas Day morning, since I won’t be online much that day!
I look forward to doing this questline once I don’t need Lisa anymore for earning event currency! 🙂
