It’s Christmas! It’s Christmas! Santa’s here!!! Woo-hoo!!!
You may notice things a little quiet around here today (you can always find the latest on the Winter Update here), as the Addicts celebrate Christmas by tearing open packages, over indulging on Christmas cookies…oh and I guess spending time with our families too! 😉 (personally I was up until way to late last night assembling a play kitchen and car…so I’m hoping for a Christmas nap at some point!)
Short Story Long… We are pre-occupied today and hope YOU are too. I think all of us need a day to step away and just relax, unwind, and enjoy those around us. So you won’t see much going on here. Your comments will likely sit in moderation for a bit. Pretty much it is going to be a quiet day on the Addicts sites while we….BRACE YOURSELVES…take a day off. SHOCKING I KNOW!!!
No worries, we promise all won’t be lost in a day. We always have our eyes and ears open. Even if you do not see or hear from us, does not mean we aren’t watching out for you. We will return after the holiday with any changes and more info about the Winter Event. So for today….ENJOY THE SILENCE!

I was disappointed that there was no acknowledgement of Christmas when I opened up my Spingfield this morning. I thought normally we Tappers received something from EA on Christmas Day. 🙁
There was likely a Pagan bonfire in one of the caves… we just couldn’t see it.
But…I think that Maggie as the Christmas Star on a free Christmas Tree should suffice. I earned her just before Christmas.
Maggie on top of the tree was perfect next to the nativity for Christmas day …she got to be the Star in the East…
I’ve got Maggie’s star suit but I didn’t see her on top of a tree. Is this part of a questline?

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent most of the day woodcarving, working on some incense burners. Kids were with their mother so kept my mind focused, my oldest daughter brought tears to my eyes because her gift to me was so thoughtful. So simple, it honestly was nothing big but the fact that she knows me so well. As much as I can be bothered by their sometimes laziness around the house I wouldn’t change a thing.
Should we take this lackluster winter event and lack of so much as even a merry Christmas in the game yesterday as signs that the end is near for new content for this game?
Ah yes, where every day is Doomsday.
I don’t see the two events related…at all.
As those of us who have completed the “Maggie Star” questline can attest, you get a free Christmas tree, and little Maggie as the star. What is more Christmassy than that?
I don’t see the game ending anytime soon…as long as there is money to be made, and the Simpsons are still creating new shows for broadcast.
Hopefully not, it is one of my few escapes😂
Merry Christmas everyone, just sobered up, red wine gets me evertime, tapped a few times on Christmas day, no presents from ea, nearly finished this event, 1 upgrade to get for the elf and have all the prizes, need a few tickets to reach 2000 and hope to get the station for my monorail, 4 prizes available thought, fingers crossed
I wish I could give away the 4,000 I have. I have no use for them, EA decided they didn’t want the devotees to get anything else 😐

Merry Christmas or happy holiday (whatever you celebrate) to all! I had a wonderful Christmas! I was able to surprise my mom on Christmas Eve, she thought I had to work. Also a great time at the inlaws today! Grandpa has dementiia and decided he didn’t want presents, decided to throw them at everybody else. I’m glad we got him socks, the first gift he was handed, he threw it at my nephew, no one expected that!
Now George Michael.
I need some help from the addicts on this special day! I got 116 donuts burning a hole in my pocket and I don’t know how to spend them! Or should I save up?
Personally I’d save them til near the end of the event, if you don’t have enough tickets to open a box and there’s something you may want, could get it cheaper.

Homer has a very funny and good visual tasks there. He is shown in the chair shivering before he is lowered down and freezes blue 😂.

No EA Tapped Out Gift? I guess it’s better than coal. Anyhoo, I got Star Maggie today, so here comes the bonuts! I decided to drop some donuts on the Egg Nog Bar and the Singing Stones. I was saving for a platinum mystery gift, I accidentally tapped on the silver and received Ebenezer Burns…..D’OH!
Did the exact same thing and got SequelStop which I had no desire to get. They conveniently left out a cancel button for the voucher gifts…
Have you ever seen the Sequel Stop lit up? It’s kind of fun! 🙂
No, I haven’t. But last night I saw my cousin Fred lit up at the Christmas Party.

Does EA really not release something on Christmas Day? It’s the first Christmas I’ve played this. I figured something free was a given.

I got the Christmas tree that came with the star-suit Maggie questline today, but that timing was partially coincidental, I guess. As for last year’s New Year’s ball, there’s still time left to get a New Year’s present! 🙂

I’d just like to be able to spend all of the bonus cash I’ve gotten. I’ll end up with over 6,000 by the time the event is over. Oh well 😕

I always think that when I’m on holiday I will get more tapping done, but I always end up doing less. I guess it’s a combination of spending more time in bed and being with family all day. Probably a good thing.

Yeah the day only seems to be going downhill. My computer crashed as I was backing up my library. I lost thousands and thousands of songs.
Had that happen a few times, R.I.P. Harddrive 🙁 ….and George Michael apparently, will 2016 just let up on the deaths already? 🙁
Oh Ryan, that’s heartbreaking! All the music. At least you’ll be able to get most, if not all, of it back. But the work…ugh. I hope you can find the time soon to sit down with some nice green medication and work on that.
This is exactly why I’m old school and can’t get rid of my hundreds of CDs.
Thanks, yeah I keep them all around. When I lived in South Dakota my living room was bigger than my entire apartment is now. I had around 1500 then and they were displayed on shelves meticulously alphabetized. Now I’ve got over 3000 in boxes,in closets, piled in corners and no CD player.
ITA…I always buy CDs and then copy them onto my iPod or whatever, rather than just buy digital copies…there’s something wonderfully reassuring about having physical media. But I do like that Amazon often throws in the downloadable mp3s for free when you buy a music CD from them

Just enjoy it as a Sunday…go to the movies or something. Or, if you don’t want to go outside and “risk” seeing happy holiday goers, stay home and use the day to binge watch something on Netflix or Amazon or something (so you can avoid holiday stuff on regular tv). Hang in there…It’ll all be over pretty soon! 🙂
