Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

This is one of those if you like it, get it items. You’re not missing much if you pass. Personally I’ll be passing on these. They’re too big and the bonus % is too low to make it worth it for me.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you as a premium player, I’m passing. Doesn’t really do anything for me. Just remember these are limited-time, so if you’re thinking about grabbing them make sure you do before it leaves our game on December 30th.

I bought both, mainly because they were cheap. I’m a bit meh on the bear, but the otter animation is amazing!!! we’re huge otter fans in this family (long story) and for a fairly small investment, this is now one of my favourite things in the whole game.
Otters are totally worth it! I added a pier with the otters and polar bear as the polar exhibit for my zoo.

I’m really confused about the prizes thing that they just recently added. Are we meant to be able to get more than 1 mystery present after we get the green bucks (not the money we earn from regular playing, the new light green bucks theyou added to the event)
I got The Yes Guy from the mystery present box which was worth 2000 light green bucks. Then the box disappeared and it’s no longer at the store. Does it come back? I was hoping to get Krusty’s daughter too. There are still still of the things you can buy from the winter event that will give you light green bucks, but if I use donuts to get them, what if the mystery present box doesn’t come back and it’s wasted?
I’m not sure how this is meant to work?

Like many others, I was sold after seeing the cute animations. Thanks to one user EliseG. who uploaded a video recording. Would have passed otherwise as I thought the decorations were still.

I won him but he’s not appearing in my game. I’m assuming it’s meant to be an outfit for Homer but it’s not there.

It is acostume for Homer. It should be in you inventory, if you can’t choose it.
Purchased both. The otters are so adorable. Now if they could give us another row of ocean or two. It is so cramped and I love all my water decorations
I have flooded my ocean with icebergs of seals and polar bears! ! Along with the smaller icebergs! Not only do I think that they are cool looking. But it’s my quiet protest to say that climate change isn’t happening : see lots of Icebergs! ! Lol .

I bought both of these and 3 of the small iceburgs for cash. They we’re designed very nicely so you can arrange them next to each other to make them all look like one big unique iceburg .
I am usually motivated by high % bonus return on my stingy dohnut spending but this looks sooooo cool (no pun intended) when they are all assembled together that I love it in my harbor.
What size is the small (purchase for cash) ice berg?

Well…I bought the one with the polar bear for another reason. As this is the warmest arctic weather on record (temperatures in the region continue to climb at double the rate of the planet as a whole), arctic warming can no longer be dismissed by those who consider it “a fluke,” I placed mine next to a couple of tropical islands. It seems reasonable…and at just 15 donuts, it’s the perfect homage to climate change.
Oh. And the bear is really cute.

Bought both items for my “B” town, not a great % return, but it’s a nice itme.
I have a question (sorry if it’s been asked and answered before but I haven’t seen it) – each time I open the boxes the prizes are in a different order, does this this impact/influence the prize given? I really want Sophie and I’m not bothered about anything else so anyway I can maximise my chance I will take.
I switched between boxes until cossingtons was placed on the left, first in the row, and won…… COSSINGTONS! Yay!

I did that method with Costingtons on the left and it didn’t work for me, it gave me the North Pole monorail station instead.
I really,really,really don’t want to win a skin for a character that don’t have or for that matter, any skin. Festivis CBG is not a prize.
It didn’t work for me. I am still waiting on that Christmas raccoon and I am down to him and the Helter Skelter, which I don’t want. But I am going to make sure I get the raccoon before this event is over! Been waiting on him since the Stonecutters event, lol. I got both of the icebergs since I kind of collect critters.
Good observation! I saw and thought the same. But funnily, when I had enough vouchers to buy a platinum prize on Christmas Day, I clicked the wrong button without waiting for my desired prize lined up as the first one on the left, but still got the one prize I wanted. So, chance does play a part.

Icebergs: bought both, had a dream with 2 baby polar bears in it (so bought them to remember the dream), and bought the large iceberg when reading here I learned they were otters, and did the slide thing.
They’re cute. Once saw family,of otters in the wild, was really neat!
Anywho, other than those reasons, I get that they are indeed not much other use.
Back to waiting for the next shiny object to appear 🙂
