It’s Sunday Morning in Springfield! Gather up those religions because Homer wants to sample them all!
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini event is similar to the previous mini-events (like Homer’s Chiliad and the Most Dangerous Game before it), in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all the fun Homer the Heretic inspired prizes and explore these religions with Homer…
Before we get into the walkthrough there are a couple of things I want to point out…
1) You have to be at Level 15 and completed Is There an Al Coholic Here Pt. 1 to see this event.
2) From what I’ve seen Karma (
) will NOT carry over.

Once you hit ok your game will restart, BUT you’ll still see the Homer the Heretic items in the store.
And that’s it! All there is to the main prize track for the first event of 2017, Homer the Heretic!

Does anybody know if the event is going to available tomorrow or it ends today at 12am?
I always plan on events ending right when the timer expires. Often they persist afterwards but better safe than sorry.
I reported to EA, but wanted to let my fellow tappers know. I finished quest 6. Didn’t get the cathedral, no pop up screen, nothing happened.
Put your fake toll booth away and it will trigger it.
Just finished the mini event last night but I had all the characters who earn Karma. Now I just need to grind out KEMs to earn another 50 donuts for Krusty’s father.
So, just to be absolutely clear, after Hamburger Heaven, I don’t need to earn karma pennies anymore….none are needed to get the cathedral?

Hit 700 at noon Friday. I guesstimate that I’ll hit 980 sometime after midnight Saturday.
Just in time for Sunday’s mini mini-event.
This morning, Thursday, I went for a walk and had coffee with a neighbor, walked home, scheduled a car service,then, after noon, wrote bills, prepared for the upcoming year’s bills, filled out folders, ran numbers for estimate taxes, wrote out thank you notes, drove to the PO to mail them, fueled the car, bought groceries, shopped & bought my wife’s first pair of prescription eye glasses.
I just realized, today is still Thursday 😲😲😲, I hit 700 on Thursday – not Friday.
I might hit 980 just after midnight FRIDAY!
Not loving it. There should be more characters available to get pennies instead of just five.
Not sure if anyone has posted this. But with the Penny Fountain if you collect pennies from it before the 5 hours is up you will get what is there and then the clock starts over again at 5 hours. So it’s best to just let it run its course and only collect every 5 hours.
I try to coordinate it with my task characters since they only have 4 hour tasks you still have to wait a hour to collect. But at points it will come up at the same time as your characters.
Not sure of your logic. The most you miss by collecting early is 1 5 minute period. But if you collect early, you will collect more if you don’t make exactly at 5 hours. For example it you need 30 coins to finish a job, it doesn’t make sense to wait to get more (60) since you will just lose it. Secondly, Say you at 4 hours and about to go to bed. You collect the 4 hours of coins, the when you wake up you collect the 5 hours.(or 3 -4 hours if you wake up in the middle of the night and then another 3-5 hours when you wake up).
What’s the difference? You could collect every 5 minutes and at the end of 5 hours you’d have the exact number of coins if you’d waited instead.
