Should I Spend Donuts On the Fake Toll Booth?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s Sunday Morning in Springfield! Gather up those religions because Homer wants to sample them all! Like a religious smorgasbord…as long as Homer can still have the bacon!  Of course it wouldn’t be an event in Springfield without premium items in our stores, just tempting us to spend sprinkles on them!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Fake Toll Booth to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this fake money collector to your Springfield…

Cons
-It doesn’t come with a questline or tasks
-Not animated

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
I don’t mind this one.  It’s reasonably priced, it’ll help with the event and after the event is over it’ll still earn cash and xp as well as give up the bonus %.  Not a bad buy if you’re looking to spend some of those bonuts burning a hole in your pocket.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do.  And I can tell you as a premium player, I picked it up. Just remember this is limited time , and will be leaving our stores once the event ends. So be sure to make your final decision before it’s gone from our games for good. (or for now..)  Also, this is one of those items that’ll help with the event, so if you’re thinking about picking it up it’s better to do it sooner rather than later, so you can maximize the benefit.

What are your thoughts on the Fake Toll Booth?  Will you be picking it up or have you already?  Where have you placed it in your Springfield? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. I wanted it when I saw it but waited for the post just in case. Went ahead with it because it did indeed do what I was hoping it would. I put it in front of Santa’s Christmasland. 😉

After reading all the responses, I hope the logistics of permanent placement isn’t all that’s holding anyone back😃 I’m looking forward to having fun with this one & wish it wasn’t unique (even if the first one is the only one to help with the event😊 I’m thinking of uses like gated communities, security for some businesses AND it will go on the boardwalk! 👍👍👍👍👍

Grabbed it as soon as I saw it, great deal! I still haven’t figured where it will have a permanent place, but I think it will be fun too😊

  4. I might have considered purchasing it, but the fact that it can’t be placed to actually block a road is a deal-breaker for me.

  5. I’m short on 🍩🍩🍩 so considered buying this – won’t have enough for the characters – tempted, but if my maths are correct I’ll be able to complete this mini event before the 18th without it.

  6. I plan on moving this in conjunction with the drive-in.

  7. how about father sean? i saw the old SIB post, but do you think that now with the rebate he’s worthwhile? thanks!

  8. I think the fact that the little swing arm doesn’t go over the road gives this item another con. I really wanted to place it on the road leading to my SH tunnel.

I do like some other peoples ideas of placing it in parking lots but I still don’t know if I’m gonna pull the trigger on this one.

Do you think Rabbi Krustofski might be a Gill deal? We haven’t seen him in a while. Whenever he does come, I definitely need to read the SIB post, since I already splurged 110 donuts on Brother Faith and the rest during Winter 2016. Still waiting for Becky and Space Coyote to make a return.. 🙁

  10. I got it and put it at the front of my Wild West section. A tribute to Mel Brooks and “Blazing Saddles”.

  11. I jumped on it as a gate to the movie studio. I’m a film buff and trting to build a backlot with the studios and super heroes pieces. But the nuclear powerplant idea someone had sounds good too.

  12. I want to want this, but just can’t quite get there.

  13. If I could place it on road, I might already have it. Since I can’t, I don’t know where to put it and haven’t bought it.

  14. I like the idea of it. Just wish you could place iron the road.

  15. I picked it up and placed it on the plot of land I have the Nuclear Plant on. I sat it near the little fence opening so it looks like you have to pay to go to work. Satisfied with it so far

  16. Meh

  17. The ruddy Princess Nerd Pt 2 quest is still in my game. They *didn’t* take it out with the rest of the Christmas stuff. Has anyone else contacted EA about this?

  18. I am going to make a car part with this item. Perfect for design!
    Thanks Alissa

  19. Hi Alissa

I know you will eventually get to the SIB on B. Faith. BUT when you do, can you PLEASE PLEASE post a video of his “Flying on a Cloud” animation in the game?? I read online that it’s very cool, but I would prefer to see a video (than a frozen pic) before I decide to spend my donuts on him

    Thanks a lot

  20. Would have been better if it could go on roads or even give the illusion that the bar is hanging over a road.

  21. I did not buy it. I’m waiting to see if Krusty’s father is going to be a preimium item. I only have 200 donuts left.
